When I asked if a custom solution was possible, he didn’t hesitate: “Absolutely—I love a challenge.” He arrived on time, listened carefully, and came up with a brilliant workaround using a Crest speaker bracket as a swivel mount. It’s sturdy, adjustable, and captures the entire staircase—including the top step.
I genuinely believe I’m the only person in Brisbane with a Ring Battery Doorbell Pro mounted like this—and it’s all thanks to Darren’s creativity, skill, and ‘nothing-is-too-hard’ attitude.

Great service – We had Gordon from Townsville come and install 2 tvs on our wall. He is friendly knowledgeable and his eye for detail is top notch. He not only installed them, he set them all back up, tuned them, made sure it was all working and the hidden cable work is so neat and tidy. If you need Tv work done, definitely give Gordon a call.
High quality, even higher price – Although friendly and accomodating, I was absolutely gobsmacked when I received the invoice for 2 installations and brackets to be $1500. No notification or price guide was given at all, and the job took about 2 hours total. Feels like daylight robbery.

Tyler answered my enquiry promptly, described the issues and did the work immediately when I accepted quote. Later found my internet didconnected, I'm not IT smart so he came over late on Christmas Eve, found and fixed the problem. Very happy to recommend.
Follow-up · I was anxious to keep the system, a large screen home entertainment centre, even though it was 15 years old. Tyler quickly found there were no faults in the system itself, it was the roof antenna and connections which needed replacement. Cost was $730 which overall was a good result....until now it had been expense-free for 15 years and replacement with a similar quality system would have cost over $5,000. Now running perfectly.

Now that's good old fashioned service – I called TV Magic late on a Friday night expecting to leave a message. Robert answered immediately and I left details of a semi urgent TV problem being experienced by my 90yo mother who relies on her TV. drilled a hole down the wall for an antenna cable to be inserted. This information she passed on to TV Magic. Because she had previously used TV Magic and been happy with their work she asked them to install the TV which they did . When she went to scan for free TV, she realised that TV Magic had not included an antenna. When she contacted TV Magic they informed her, because she hadn't specifically asked for an antenna to be fitted to the TV, it would now cost another $220 for this to be done. How naïve of her to think that a company that proudly advertises the fact that they are all about antennas, you would have to ask specifically for this to be done and then pay another $220 on top of an already expensive quote. Finally 8 months into moving into our new home we had a few dollars to get some “professionals” in to mount our TVs.
We had noggins pre installed to make it even easier but we still weren’t confident we could do it ourselves, little did we know, neither were these guys!
We contacted “Tv magic” expecting some sort of magical work, ya know, it sort of sounds like that’s what you’re to expect, Right?
We were sorely mistaken, they offered up more of a crap show than a plumber deals with in a days work.
I didn’t want to be that person that hovers, they had great reviews, lots of apparent experience so I kept out of the way after reminding them we had noggins so it should be a super easy job, showed them pics and they were like sweet, too easy!
It was at this point I guess they forgot all about the noggins and just went to town drilling “miss, miss, hit!” Over and over on our wall trying to find the studs! Noggins? Nah…who needs those!
All of this I had no idea was happening! I was confident I’d gotten the right guys to get the job done.
It wasn’t until today when we went to put up our replacement tv did we find their poor workmanship, bet you’re like “replacement tv? Wait what?” Ok! Ok! I’ll get to that! Sooooo these guys finished up renovating our walls and mounted our new tv, looked good! and our trusty old Samsung we paid a mint for a few years back, looked ok? I turn her on, starts like a charm but wait? What!? 3 big bright spots! Insert some cuss words and utter disappointment! How did they not see it!? Why didn’t they tell us!?
I send them a picture of the tv and then once received, I call them, what the heck!?
I get lots of “I can’t believe this has happened, never in my 15 years have I seen this happen”
Clearly, CLEARLY!!! They have used the wrong bolts and went too deep in and hit the screen…
Over $1000 later, we’ve got two TVs mounted, ones broken and they “can’t believe” well, I am here looking right at it, “Ripleys believe it or not” some [Content Removed]…
After numerous calls and texts, they reluctantly clear their schedule, they come back and try to loosen the bolts, nothing, still broken.
I wasn’t home for this part but when nothing was able to be fixed, it seemed like they were more than happy with their story of “this has never happened before” and “it’s an old tv, it must have been previously compromised and them mounting it was its last straw”, unfortunate but not their fault.
I assured them the tv was fine prior, it had been mounted at another home without any issues, what would they be doing to rectify this? It’s an old tv, yeah? Why mount it if you believed it was too old? Why are you so sure it’s due to its age yet you happily took $500 to mount it without sharing any concerns.
Finally, they agreed to contact their insurance company on “benefit of the doubt” ( continuing to place blame on me for the outcome of our broken tv ) and that it could not possibly be them using the wrong bolts.
I was in an absolute state, over $1000 later which is huge money for us, for most! and nothing but regret.
I sat down with my partner to watch the tv that wasn’t broken… no sound? But didn’t we pay extra to have the sound bar connected through the wall with HDMI? Yes? Well where’s the sound!?
We were told they would come back out and check where the issue was, weeks later, nothing. Extra cost added onto an overly priced job, we’re using Bluetooth to connect our soundbar.
Backing up now to the replacement tv, tonight my partner and I go to take down the broken tv and mount our new tv and find our wall with multiple missed attempts at what we’ve been told was “finding the stud” BUT WE TOLD YOU WE HAD NOGGINS!!!
Just another kick in the guts for trusting “Tv Magic” to mount our tv’s.
I have shown the man who handles these types of situations, who helped push through the insurance claim and he’s assured me this is to be expected.
I have shown another company who agrees with us that this is poorly done, that someone with experience would need no more holes than the ones used, especially having a noggin to work with.
On top of that, our bracket is not even secured on either end. Another face palm moment!
I have been clear with them that after all of the above, I will be sharing my experience with their company, they have asked me to make sure I let you know they came to the party with the insurance claim… firstly, offered $400 compensation, I pushed and shared with AAMI exactly what happened and even she was shocked. She agreed that whilst depreciation was a factor in their $400 offer, having paid more than that to mount the tv and inconvenience of it all, she settled on $900 which even these days is definitely not enough to replace a 60inch Samsung tv so we were out of pocket on that but I was happy to just cut ties and be done! But unfortunately it’s just the gift that keeps on giving! So thanks for the $900 Tv magic, but I would much rather my $1000+ back and to have never let you in our home! Pulling a rabbit out of a hat would have been a better magic trick than the utter nonsense you’ve given us!

Starlink connection to the granny flat – Needed internet connection to the granny flat without an extra subscription, and no digging up the driveway or concrete, wasn't an easy job as the concrete home gave them a few issues, lads from Laidley had an idea straight away, starlink wifi now in the granny flat without a 2nd subscription and super fast, couldn't recommend them highly enough, fantastic job
