Tycoon Golf Scooter

Tycoon golf scooter – If you need a single-seat, golf buggy that you can pull apart and fit in your boot, the Tycoon is a great choice. I have owned one for nearly 18 months. It was the only buggy that I could transport without towing. The Tycoon breaks down into several pieces which I can lift in and out of my car - and I am a woman in my 60s with a disability. … Read more
The magnesium frame is light but strong. However, it is designed to run on grass, so it's advisable to take it gently over uneven joins in concrete cart paths or when dropping off the edges of paths onto turfed areas.
The carbon fibre body does show scrapes and scratches but is quite robust and durable. When transporting my Tycoon, I wrap a blanket between each piece to avoid scratching and rubbing.
I had a sunroof fitted and thus works well in sunny days. However, I find a golf umbrella fitted to the bag holder offers better rain protection (for my clubs and me) than the sunroof.
I made a seat cover to protect the vinyl seat from wear and because the black vinyl got hot in summer.
A word of caution about batteries. The type and brand makes a huge difference to how the Tycoon performs. I originally bought 12volt 55amp gel batteries - which failed repeatedly. I am now running Century C12 55DA batteries and the difference is amazing. Not only can I ride up inclines I could only walk the buggy up before, now it ACCELERATES up these slopes. My original batteries used a minimum of 6 bars of stored power over 18 holes of golf. The Century batteries uses a maximum of 3. It's like a completely different buggy.
Have no hesitation in recommending the Lotus Blake Tycoon golf buggy.
The only negative - it only comes in black. Some choice if colour would be nice.
