Unbelievable service & attention to detail – It’s not every day that you have the owner of a travel company knocking on your door to drop off a complementary tom-tom for your 2 week motorhome tour of British Columbia & Alberta, Canada. You may well ask who does this and our answer to you would be Tracey from UKandEurope Travel. Tracey did this while she was on a holiday with her husband on the Gold Coast. She was prepared to give up some of her time during her holiday in order to ensure that we were properly prepared for our trip.

I can honestly say that my wife and I have never had such personalized attention.

She truly went above and beyond the standard level of service generally offered by travel companies/agents.

The fact that she had done the same trip as we were planning and in the same vehicle reassured us that the motorhome we were renting easily met our requirements. She also proved to be an invaluable source of additional information/insights.

Our route was: Vancouver – Whistler – Jasper – Lake Louise – Banff – Revelstoke – Kelowna – Hope – Vancouver. [Note: An insight from us: we did this loop in 2 weeks in June but we really needed 4 – 5 weeks to do this loop as there is just so much to see and do!]

Tracey’s knowledgeable, hands on approach to securing our motorhome booking was one of the reasons that the 2 weeks we spent in the motorhome were the highlight of our 6 week Canadian adventure.

We can’t thank Tracey and her company enough for their outstanding service and commitment.

Excellent service and prices – We have just returned from a family holiday to Italy that we drove a car organised through UK and Europe Travel. This is the second time that we have used this company to organise car hire for us in Europe. The first time was for a 6 month period in 2012 where they advised us to take a lease for a better price. We had a nearly new Renault Megane that we drove all over Europe with no issues. This second trip we also had a near new vehicle, a Peugeot which we enjoyed driving for 3 weeks in Italy.

Both times we shopped around extensively and found that UK and Europe offered the best deals - far better than dealing directly with the car hire companies. They were quick to respond to e-mail queries with detailed and informative replies. They make the process of selecting a car and insurance very straightforward and provide the proof of purchase certificate by e-mail so you can just show up at the car hire and present it to pick up the vehicle. We had some issues with Avis in Rome extracting money dishonestly from us this time around, but Tracey at UK and Europe Travel dealt with the problem very efficiently and professionally. I would say she really went above and beyond what most employees would typically do - immediately contacting Avis head office in the U.S. and Rome and using her company's long history of doing business with them to leverage a refund, which Avis did within a week.

I read the other review of the client that was unhappy with his motor home rental and can hardly believe he is referring to the same company. Tracey, in particular is very personable and knowledgeable with over 20 years of experience working for this company so I am surprised at the issues he claims to have had. As for the lack of customer care that he claims, UK and Europe Travel already had our money for the car hire when we had the issue with Avis and they showed exceptional care when it came to insuring a refund that had nothing to do with a fault in their own company's service.

I can't speak highly enough of our experience with UK and Europe Travel for car hire. We will certainly be using them in the future!

No Apparent Customer Care – We arranged a Mcrent Motorhome for three months from April 2015 through UKandEurope Travel and specifically requested a vehicle of less than 6 metres since we were to travel in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and did not want to pay twice as much for a vehicle over 6 metres for ferries and tolls. In an email from the travel agency we were told that barring the accidental damage of the vehicle reserved for us that this should not be a problem at that time of year but it was. We were given on arrival a 6.7 metre vehicle by McRent in Frankfurt. Result? We had to pay an additional $420 in tolls/ferry crossings.

UKandEuropeTravel told us to ask for a gas bottle adaptor for the gas bottles in the motorhome at McRent Frankfurt. A McRent employee, told us that adoptors were not legal in Europe and that each country had it own bottle types. So we had two bottles for three months in cold Norway Sweden and Denmark. So we did not run out of gas for cooking we showered in park facilities for 4 euros average a day for 3 minute showers and froze in the motorhome to ensure we had sufficient gas for cooking.

We arranged through the travel agency to McRent for a 9.00am pick-up at Frankfurt airport but form copies of the emails I have from the company, the only information passed to McRent was the flight number and arrival time. This caused further aggravation.

On the first night, water leaked aver the floor of the van so we lost one day of holidays searching for the repair company and driving there. Of course no offer of compensation for this.

Avoid them at all costs
