Ultraorganics Clear Henna Wax Hair Treatment

Shiny shiny bad times behind me – If this henna wax conditioner is the same one that used to be in a fawn coloured plastic pot, then I have been using it since the late 80's. I recently rediscovered it as my financial situation has changed. No more Kerastase. A large pot is well and truly under $15 AUD I totally recommend it! I had unbleached hair back in the day, now its… Read more
highlighted and the henna wax still does the same thing; softens and above all makes my hair sooo shiny. A complete glossing treatment. I use it for both treatment and daily conditioner. It is the same colour it always was, a murky light brown but seems to have from memory, a different fragrance. I do wish that it had less of a perfume as it is very strong. It would be nice if it was more plant like and natural. Or fragrance free All in all though I highly recommend for softness, shine and value for money and most importantly, Made in Australia!
Makes a great conditioner and is excellent value for money – I've been a fan of this product since the mid '70's. The first time I heard of henna wax was through my best friend who said she'd give me the most fantastic hair treatment I'd ever had. She was a natural redhead and had the most luxuriant, glossy auburn hair I'd ever seen, so I was keen to try. It was a messy business, involving making a paste… Read more
with a red powder which was then applied to my hair and left in for a certain time before rinsing out. I have ash brown hair and got a real fright when I saw the red colour in my hair! Luckily it faded /grew out but I remembered the lovely silky feel of my hair after the treatment and was thrilled when another friend told me I could get the same result (without the red!) by using clear henna wax. As mentioned by another reviewer, the hot towel wrap was the way I used the wax then. Now I use it as a conditioner and find it still works the same, leaving my hair glossy, silky smooth and looking fuller than it actually is. I love it because it's not full of nasty chemicals, is easy to use and easy on the budget. You don't need very much and a tub usually lasts me around 8 months. Highly recommended!
Great product – I have used this product for years, I used to buy it in the cheap shops but they stopped selling it. Since being ill my hair had dried out, split n dull. I recently found it again, so happy. I find it more nourishing for my hair than any other treatment. U can't go wrong with this product, value for money. Show details
A return of a golden oldie – Back in the 80s everyone used to use henna wax as a treatment conditioner with a hot towel wrap,it was cheap as chips at about $2 a pot and all the little variety stores used to stock it,then things like Pantene entered the market and these little wonders were pushed to the wayside for more chemical driven treatments Then low and behold I walk… Read more
into chemist warehouse and there I see this pot hidden on the bottom shelf of the hair aisle amongst all the less popular eye level items as if a ray of light from above shone upon it It seems to be the same formula and smell as the henna wax from the dinosaur era od my youth and it still works a treat as it did a millenia ago You can use it as a regular conditioner, as a treatment or mix with a bit of water and use as a leave in and your hair will be silky soft, less frizzy and most importantly hydrated Now obviously if your hair is fried beyond compare or split up the wazoo it may not work as well as someone with a fresh cut and Virgin hair ,but it will improve it marginally Currently available from chemist warehouse for $8 a 500ml pot,not sure if its available elsewhere **this brand also appears to have been bought out by Marc Daniels
Triple S = Soft Shiny Silky – Having tried this product I am so happy and I fully appreciate the way my hair now feels and looks, it is simply the best product I have ever used. Leaving my hair shiny soft and silky in excellent condition I have tried other more expensive products but none of them hold a candle to Clear Henna Wax Hair Treatment I give it a score of 10 out of 10.
Excellent! – Being cheap I usually tend to think it would not be very good, boy was I wrong with this product! This is some of the best natural stuff I've used on my hair & $5 for a 500gm pot at Chemist Warehouse, ( I get off their www). Leaves hair soft & beautiful. I have really long bleached hair & it works wonders for me. I also use the chamomile… Read more
conditioner in this as well, 500gm for $5 also, & I like it better. When I get results like I do with a $5 pot, with no nasties, makes me question why I spend $$$ more on other products... I will continue to buy this & try their other products.
Hair is left silky smooth – I've just started using this in conjunction with the ultraorganics chamomile conditioner and my hair has never been so soft or shiny. This is so simple to incorporate into your routine and a massive bonus is there are no nasty chemicals. The pot is large so will last a long time. I picked this up for $4.99 from the chemist warehouse and is worth every cent and more.
Cheap but great product! – I've been using this for a couple years now. It's fantastic as a leave-in for my long curly hair. When I fist used it I couldn't believe the volume I get in my curls and how soft it makes my hair. Plus the added bonus - there aren't any nasties in it! I stocked up on a few tubs while I was on the Gold Coast as I didn't have a local Chemist Warehouse at the time. Now there is one I'm a regular customer.
3.5 – Purchased at Chemist Warehouse for around $5. My hair: long, bleached, dry damaged. Henna wax is pretty good. It says no dye, but if your hair is white, it does stain yellow ( very feint) I left overnight on dry hair with good results. Adds volume and hair is very soft. Not sure how it will react when I rebleach roots yet. Good to have in your… Read more
arsenal, and gives better results than most of the expensive conditioners I've bought. I guess that is because the henna adds a coating to hair (similar to silicones, but longer lasting from my understanding - but as this is clear henna wax, it is only a tiny amount of pure henna powder compared to an actual henna dye, I think). I have too many other hair products I am using, to give an accurate review! I would be interested to know if this builds up like silicones over time, and is the hair healthier or drier long term? I think hair would be in better condition. If I use silicone based products, my hair will look beautiful on that day, but subsequent days my hair is dry/ratty. With henna wax, the softness of hair was continued over next few days. A dramatic difference when compared to silicones. Henna wax seems to add the protection to hair without the heaviness or inconsistency of other products.
I did have to remove point for very slight yellowish tinge, and .5 point because I don't know if it will be more difficult to bleach roots.
Overall, not perfect product (Esp. Blonde) but, far superior to any silicone based conditioners in performance and cost.
Best treatment ever! – I have thick curly hair and this product keeps it so manageable and soft. Love the smell and thick texture of the product. So affordable as well! This product beats anything else
great product – I used to use this years ago and i seen it in the chemist for around $5, and thought id give it another go.... I recently bleached and dyed my hair which left it frizzy and dry, so I tried my usual trustworthy salon products including a treatment, leavein , and I also tried oil but my hair still felt very dry and very porous so after rummaging… Read more
throught the cupboard i found this that i hadnt even opened ... so i slathered this in my badly damaged hair and left it on for 30 mins I was pleasantly suprised my hair actually felt like hair again and my hair feels better than before i dyed it, will definitely be purchasing another tub .
Don't ignore because of cheap price QUALITY product – Items being "cheap" aka affordable normally turn me off. I did work as a hairdresser when I was younger so was a bit of a brand 'snob' I decided to grab this product at Chemist Warehouse for $5.39 for a 500g tub. It smells pleasant but still natural is very thick you can turn it upside down without is falling out (eventually it would though… Read more
after a while)
The ingredients are all quite natural and safe (no nasties) and the texture is very creamy. Much thicker than even a lot of salon brands I've spent $30 and above on.
I would say to leave it on longer than 10 minutes and I used about 1/2 the amount I normally use with other treatments because of the thick creamy texture. Don't let the WAX part put you off it is NOT a wax and does not contain Parabens, Silicones SLS or other bad ingredients.
Everyone should try it once as either (or all) below - treatment - everyday conditioner- tame frizz- smooth curls- leave a small amount in hair to define curls ( I do all of the above) At this price and quality there is no reason to use supermarket conditioners! I hope that don't get rid of it anytime soon !!!
Absolutely brilliant! – My over bleeched hair feel and look amazing!!! Nice product for its price. If it stays on market for this affordable price I would never buy any other product. It does great job, I cannot stop touching my hair. I thought that after changing my hair colour from black to blond , dry hair was something I would live with forever . I found it at… Read more
chemist warehouse for 5 $ . At first didn't want to buy it( simple look and low price were my concern) but gave it a try because I used to use henna ( dry powder you mix with water) in my teenage years ( but it colours your hair) . Thanks God I did!!!! It works better than any other product I've ever tried

Best product ever! – I have researched and used loads of products and spent a ton of money doing so. This product I keep coming back to. I shampoo my hair and put the Henna on, wrap it in cling wrap and sleep with it. My hair feels so amazing afterwards. If you have really dry hair like I do (bleach blonde) then it may take a few goes to get a silky feel. To start… Read more
with do 2-3 times a week sleeping in it. To maintain do at least once a week. For a product so cheap it is truly worth every penny and so much more. I love this stuff which can be hard to find and isn't found outside of Oz. Love love love

An absolutely brilliant product, a real life saver! – I have extremely curly hair that is long and thick with a tenancy to matt. I use Ultraorganics henna wax daily as a leave in conditioner. This product is the only product I have ever found that consistently makes my hair look amazing by coating the curl enough to stop frizz and prevent matting without weighing down the curl. Furthermore, it is the… Read more · 1
only affordable product on the market to do this since you need quantity to coat the hair and it is all natural- amazing!! I dye my hair a vibrant red which always attracts praise. My hairdresser feared the wax would affect the colour but I have been doing it for years and I just ensure I wash the henna wax out before using the dye, then apply post dying again. It really is an amazing product. I even carry a little tub in my purse at all times in case I need some extra control on a windy day or after a swim. Controls frizzy, curly hair without weighing it down, the most affordable product on the market and all natural- brilliant! It can be difficult to buy but I have just found and purchased some online
