Vax VX11

Not the worst – Purchased this to manage condensation on windows and after showers during the winter months to reduce mold build up. It does an OK job, suction power is average and it does vacuum a good amount of water from windows. As with other reviews, vacuuming on the side for lower sections on the window is not very effective - it would require the unit to… Read more
be put upright as soon as a streak is done so the water can flow into the tank. Using a cloth to wipe excess water that the vacuum misses is needed however the amount of water left is significantly less than before. It is $40 but the Vax VX11 does what I require it to do (on a budget) and sporadic use during winter.
Useless – About the only positive thing I can say about this is it's reasonably light, everything else is a pile on of poor design and uselessness. It does not clean your windows, it's just spreads the dirt around and leaves streaks everywhere and in some cases clear drip lines because you cannot lay it sideways to get along the bottom of the glass or… Read more
into corners, due to the fact it leaks! It also takes a LOT of pressure to use the tilt feature, which leads to another very annoying problem, the on/off button is right on the handle where you grip so you're constantly cutting power every time you put any pressure at all on the handle. Emptying the dirty water tank takes and age as it's all funneled though the equivalent of a pinhole and the included cleaning pads are horrible.
I would not recommend this to anyone and mine is now going in the bin.
Lucky its only $39.00 – Does a poor job on windows. Windows require manual cleaning after use to remove residue and streaks left by the cleaner. Doesnt work on its side and leaks if you do.. Cannot effectively naintain contact with glass at bottom edge of windows with sill plates or bathroom benchrops. Microfibre pads are very small and require constant changing. Show details
