Vicsail Westernport did not communicate effectively while selling my boat and seemed to hang onto my money after the boat changed hands. They sent the prospective new owner out on a sea trial and the boat was run aground and no communication to me until much later. The new owner took possession of my boat, moved it to another berth and started… Read more
painting it. No money had been received by me and no communication received from Vicsail Westernport ! Weeks later the money came through. Beware ! Don't deal with this bloke !
Our experience with VicSail (Jamie Farley) has been nothing short of a disaster. We sold our boat through Jamie and despite repeated follow-ups, he has failed to release the proceeds from the sale, an amount of significant value. Jamie is a swindler and con-artist, showing complete disregard of the law – we have audio recordings in which Jamie… Read more
openly confesses to being a crook, the nail in the coffin that confirms the seriousness of his misconduct. To make matters worse, we understand we are not alone here – there are multiple other parties who have experienced similar treatment recently. The public needs to be aware of this conduct – stay away from Jamie and VicSail!!!
Please do not sell or buy a boat with Vicsail Westernport Please look at all reviews because Jamie is nothing more than a conman you will struggle to get your money as we have. Sold our boat in 2024 didn't tell us it was sold. We found out only because the invoice for the berthing fees didn't arrive for February 2025. Since then, we have been… Read more
feed nothing but nonsense as to our money being paid we have had to engage a lawyer as well make a statement to police and we are still waiting for them to get back to us. Looking like this will have to go to court or VCAT
Warning. I used Vic Boat Sales (Jamie) to sell my boat. We agreed on a price and it was sold within two days of advertising which was done from my photos I sent him. He has made $8K from the sale which I don’t have a problem with but I do have a problem trying to get my money from him. I had to chase him up for the paperwork even after the boat… Read more
was paid for and taken. It Has been three weeks today and all I have is $21,100 out of the $71,100 that he owes me. He has sent me a so called confirmation of the transfer which is now 10 days old and still no money. Don’t let your boat go until you receive your full payment.
We contracted [Name Removed] at VicSail Westernport in late 2024 to sell our boat. He performed the sale part of the process well, ensuring that the boat remained fully operational whilst in his sale pen and coordinating repairs for some minor problems. However, once the sale had taken place and the buyer had transferred the funds to VicSail… Read more
trust account, we struggled to have that money forwarded to our account by [Name Removed]. He offered multiple excuses as to why there was a delay, and we only managed to retrieve our funds after involving a solicitor who acted on our behalf. Unfortunately we could not recommend VicSail to any other potential buyer/seller as our experience with [Name Removed] was definitely less than satisfactory.
Vicsail Westernport Testimonial This testimonial relates to Vicsail Westernport in Hastings Victoria and in particular the Director Jamie Farley and not any other Vicsail franchise. Jamie was engaged to sell my boat in Jan 25. After failing to consult with me before lowering the boats price he found a buyer at a price much lower than he said the… Read more
boat was worth at sign up. After accepting the sale it took a further 9 weeks for the money to be transferred from his trust account to me. In this 9 weeks he provided endless reasons why I didn’t have my money including account hacked from Saudi Arabia and it’s the banks problem. He sent me 3 screenshots of transactions that never came. In the end the buyer of my boat made contact as Jamie had also sold his boat and hadn’t paid him either. Finally our money was paid when there was a suggestion of Police involvement. Once you ask around the industry there are lots of similar stories of Jamie’s activities. Dealing with Jamie caused me unwanted stress and anxiety so if you are considering dealing with him please consider the cost of this and the risk involved.
Terrible Stressful Experience – Absolutely terrible experience dealing with Jamie. We purchased a second hand boat from them. We put down a large deposit, then financed the full amount and it was agreed upon to refund the full deposit once the finance had settled. We also had extra money in the finance amount to cover transportation of the boat from Victoria to Queensland. The… Read more
boat was transported once the finance had settled. From there we were given excuse after excuse as to why he couldn’t pay the money. I had to engage VCAT (Victoria Civil Affairs Tribunal) as well as dish some dirt on social media about the appalling behaviour of the business. As soon as he could see some of the negative comments on social media and he could see his reputation was being compromised he began to pay some Money to us. It took about 6 weeks to get our money back and the transport company to be paid in full. Avoid VicSail and Jamie at all costs.
Vicsail brokers review from cash buyer – I have contacted Vicsail on a few occasion's over the years looking for boats. After I had no reply , I drove to their office as a cash buyer and told them what I was looking for and got no further contact. Granted that was some time ago. One month ago I contacted them at westernport I received an automated responce , saying a broker would… Read more
contact me, one month later the boat is still listed, but no contract was made. Now all of my emails are returned with an error, even from their web site. I will no lover shop with broker's. If your selling a boat, a broker is often a bad choice.
