Villeroy & Boch Omnia Pro 6699 Toilet Questions & Answers
VerifiedReading all these stories of cracks in the cistern, we find that we also have a crack in the cistern which we noticed about three months ago. The cistern was installed in 2006. Obvious as one could see a blue colour in the crack which we assume would be as a result of copper leaching out.. The crack has started to become longer. We are at a loss to understand how the cistern could crack and the fact that the crack is growing longer. There is no pressure here. It not a structural element. There should be no movement at all. The cracks are as fine as a strand of hair. Minimal but a leak. Obviously a manufacturing problem
Unfortunately you cannot get parts for that particular toilet now. The toilet will have to be replaced. ☹️
Dreadful ours also disintegrated/cracked causing our house to flood and the repairs Re plumber cistern etc was not covered. Never buy this brand. The cistern coats with poo also and needs daily cleaning. Ours was purchased 2007-8.
Hi Michael, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Given the cistern is 15 years old there is no way to determine the cause of the crack. Additionally, it is difficult for us to identify the cause of the blue colour appearing between the crack without visual representation, such as an image of both the inside and outside of the cistern. Please feel free to contact us directly on 1300 364 748 or support@customer-central.com.au if you would like us to advise on an appropriate replacement.
my house, which was new when i bought it in 2008, has all villeroy & boch toilets. 2 of the cisterns have now cracked spntaneously causing major flooding. So i suspect that this is a systemic issue for the brand.....at least for the cisterns made back then
How much?
Same as others cracks appeared, no parts avaliable. I think this deserves some national media release
