periods of time, just snapping a few pics here and there, and the batteries would go flat in about an hour or even less. We tries many different battery types but still had the same problem. This is just a pointless waste of money. Another annoying problem is that the onscreen menu instructions do not correspond to the actual buttons available on the camera body. Therefore you have to use trial and error to find out which button will select the desired menu function. This is clearly a very cheap product, and is not worth wasting your money on.
