Lasted 2 weeks – Had so many problems with my previous phone, I paid extra to have my three handsets installed professionally. I didn't want any more problems. Well, 2 weeks later, I can receive calls but I can't make calls. Not only that but the volume kept dropping down especially when I answered the phone, so there was always a drama finding out who my caller was. I'm over it. Never again.

This phone is an absolute piece of junk – We have had our VTech phone for only 18 months. In that time it has played more times than any other phone I have ever had. It has finally given up the ghost, and I am told that if I had have purchased it during some 'promotion' it would be covered by a 5 year warranty. Because I lucked out and purchased outside of this period, I am only covered by a 12 month warranty. So to have it fixed, I have to pay $30, and send it off to Melbourne, leaving me without a phone. Not an option for me. So I will simply have to go and purchase a new phone. I will not be purchasing a VTech one, and will tell anyone who wants to know about phones what a terrible experience I have had with this one.

Works good – I read a lot of negative reviews about this brand. I bought one anyway with 5 handsets. I had trouble registering the extra phones - rang the Australian support number, was provided advise and had it all working in a few minutes. Everything worked. Range was excellent, better than my WiFi network - over 20 meters with 4 walls in between - clear with no "crackle". Fantastic intercom and broadcast features that work easily and well. For the price compared to other brands, this phone system is excellent. It works well, does what they claim and is technically supported in Australia - I highly recommend this phone system to other domestic users.
