Where can I get a check valve for my 585 wagner spray gun ?

These are absolute junk, mine stopped working after 2 uses due to flaw in design. If you ever tilt the gun higher than horizontal you risk paint dripping into the motor. Even being diligent this destroyed two of these. Didn’t bother to try n get replaced the second time. Junk, terrible design. I brought. A real compressor and a real gun , don’t waste your money they should remove fro. The market.

I have an water based enamel dulux paint how much water do I need to add in order to spray paint

I found that whatever paint I used I just had to have something to test spray on. So I would start with about 10% added water and test against a piece of cardboard etc. I would then just keep adding water until the spray atomisation was perfect. You will soon see when the spray has no spatters and goes on nice and even. I’m no spray painter but the results I got with this unit made me very happy with the purchase

I want to buy Flexio 585. Is the nozzle made of plastic? Is there a metal nozzle available?

denronde

The nozzles are made of a strong plastic. They are sturdy and easy to remove and clean. Whatever the problems may have been in the past I have had no problem with my recently purchased unit. Wagners also include a spare nozzle with the unit!

Hi mhanif,

Sorry just saw your comment. My Flexio 585 is all plastic. I found the Wagner help desk really helpful when I was deciding which model to buy, perhaps give them a call. Thanks denronde for replying to this post!

Is it true that there are cracks in the nozzle, which causes paint spill?

Yes - sorry to say but in our experience there are cracks in the nozzle of this tool - and the Wagner we purchased was faulty from new. My husband physically examined the nozzle under a magnifying glass and he could clearly see several cracks running from in the nozzle tip. One of the cracks was visible to the naked eye.

My husband has used several brands of paint sprayers over the years in the aviation, fabrication and building industries. Irrespective of the brand of sprayer, even minor cracks in a nozzle are an issue - they can affect the spray pattern and spoil the finish of the job. Cracks are also likely to spread every time you use the unit or clean the nozzles after use. In the end the tool starts leaking paint. Because we returned our Wagner to the store we purchased it from and got a refund, we haven't looked into the issue further. However if you look on YouTube there are complaints about other Wagner models having nozzle faults.

Just brought a Flexio 585 from Bunnings. Read all the reviews and watched all the youtube videos. Absolutely no problem with the nozzles what so ever! Checked all the nozzles with a magnifying glass before using. Very happy with the unit and much more powerful than expected. Watch that you don't overfill the containers.

My smaller container tended to come off on full power with the container filled to the top however I did not have any problems with the bigger container. Solved the problem by filling the smaller container about 3/4 full
