Fourteen days was 7 days too long, and this will be a long and largely negative review. However We want to acknowledge the warm helpfulness of the Fijian staff. They were absolutely wonderful in helping us celebrate our 80th and 60th birthdays. The smiling faces and cheerful comments were a great start to our days. Now for some negatives. This is… Read more

not a good place for many older or infirm travellers. The resort offered lots of activities for the younger fit people and children seemed to really be enjoying themselves. For us oldies however, one with a wheelie walker, there were long, long corridors, non negotiable staircases and one small lift serving a reported 200+ rooms. The resort is not not 5 star in our opinion. The food is expensive and poor quality, for example $95 Fiji for the poor quality buffet which frequently appeared to be leftovers from the night before. Most meat was very tough and one expensive steak proved to be extremely thin and folded in half to make it look thicker.$12 for a bottle of water with dinner or if you want to share a bottle of wine it gets close to F$100 for wines which cost less than $10 here. Tired rooms, a shower over the bath in our first room was difficult to negotiate following a hip operation. Aircon condensation? Created slippery wet dangerous floor. Outer door to balcony was not lockable. Moved to a different room which had a walk in shower but the bathroom door couldn't be closed. TV only worked sporadically. Asked once for fix, gave up after that. Electronic door lock failed one night (dead battery?) leaving us stranded for some time in the corridor. The worst thing about the Warwick, and the reason we would never recommend it to anyone, is its questionable business practices. Never before have we been asked on arrival to sign a very small print document agreeing to make a donation. Our first understanding of our apparent donation commitment was when it was listed on our bill. Not even our final bill but an interim bill which we were asked to pay whenever it .reached $1000. Note that we had already paid the resort around $10,000 for accommodation (via our travel agents). The regular $1000+ bill was meals and incidentals such as laundry? Check your bills carefully because another questionable practice is to charge you for missing pool towels until you can prove they've been returned. Then they reluctantly issue a revised bill. Another questiona le practice, or perhaps a genuine mistake?, was the cost of meals. Prior to our trip we were told that the 'all meals' option wasn't available so we had the agent supply us with menus and prices. The full page info on the evening buffets showed a price of $79. The price during our stay was $95, confirmed as correct only when we queried the bill. Finally on the subject of bills don't forget the $250 deposit you will probably be asked to make upfront. Tell them you want it returned or subtracted from the bill because they don't do it automatically.

We hope this has been helpful and that if you go to Warwick that your experience is more pleasant than ours.

Setting is beautiful but let down by the food and too far from the airport – We spent 5 nights ,had a package including all meals at the Bula buffet restaurant. The meals left a lot to be desired. Meat was tough and inedible. The bathroom needed an upgrade ,towels were always short and cleaners made so much noise in the corridors

Lied and took money they said we didn’t owe – Paid in full prior to arrival and have evidence (receipt) from resort. Told at check in paid in full. At check out was told they made a mistake and we owed another $1000!! Showed evidence of payment, duty manger finally came to see us and apologised, said nothing owing and we could leave. On way to airport receive notification that an additional… Read more

$1000 had been billed to my credit card AFTER WE LEFT!! Extremely upset, dishonest service. Warwick refuse to acknowledge what manager said snd will not refund nor engage. Holiday of a lifetime ruined. Add to this restaurants booked out entire stay; no towels available every day at pool (more guests than towels!); rooms old and run down; room towels removed and not replenished did two days. Definitely not five star.

Not 5 star – Warwick resort Fiji is a gorgeous place on the coral coast we had our wedding there, we were treated by all staff very well, food was great but you can get a bit sick of the brassiere buffet, kids loved the kids club and it catered to their needs, rooms were a little outdated. Una our wedding planner was lovely, if getting married abroad make… Read more

sure your single status is no longer then 3 months out from getting married or it will be a visit to the registry office in town to get a stat declaration done. Overall it was a great family holiday and for a special occasion, such an eye opener.
