Watersnake

Got the 18lb. I love it. It's very light. Goes 5.5kph on my kayak on speed 2 in calm conditions. Good speed for trolling for salmon. I've caught lots in my Kayak. You can set the depth height ( you can lift it out of the water without tilting it ). It has steering adjustment force so you can lock it straight. I sit back and use my foot pedals to steer the rudder. I use a 42ah LIFEPO4 battery. It last me all day. I roughly get about 2.5 -3 hours of continuous use. I don't even touch my paddle and it's great having your hands free. Fine for salt water use. Mine was missing one depth collar height adjustment screw but I contacted watersnake and they sent one out. Great customer service.
The cradle where the motor sits is too loose. Which creates a violent vibration which in turns causes the motor to sound like a tractor in the water. I’ve sent to to water snake to fix twice and they have put it in the too hard basket. After experiencing Minn kota I wouldn’t waste my money on water snake ever again customer service was terrible.
Frustrating and disappointing – This motor is constantly twisting the power cable into a jam while using anchor mode. Wish I had spent the extra money on a different brand.
Great Motor and matching support – I have had my Watersnake Geo Spot for a couple of years now and it is absolutely brilliant. Hardly ever use the anchor anymore. Easy to use, even for an old fart like me. Had a problem recently and contacted Watersnake to see if they could help, and they did. I believe they went above and beyond customer service, especially what you normally get these days. Sorted out my problem and sent me a replacement part by courier.
