Wattyl Wood Gel

Fool proof interior timber stain – Water based Wattyl Wood Gel is the best (easiest to use) timber stain I have ever used. It is applied to the timber with a rag and you just rub in enough coats (allowing to dry in between) to get the depth of colour you want. It can then be finished with a coat or two of polyurethane, or you can use Wattyl Scandinavian Teak Oil if you want a less shiny finish and/or are trying to preserve the patina on an older (repaired) timber piece. As an amateur woodworker I need all the help I can get and this product is fool proof. Comes in 200 ml tubes but you will have to go to a paint specialist because neither Bunnings nor Masters stock it. Water base means that it's easy clean-up too!
