Massive upgrade on my previous Promax 500, great visibility, I can actually wear glasses underneath (which I have had issues with other branded helmets), and now with PAPR system and flip up for grinding face shield I am actually not skipping the correct PPE. I have been welding on and off for years and until now have never had a PAPR helmet. I must admit it takes a bit of getting used to wearing it but once it is on you hardly know it is there. The clarity in the helmet is fantastic and the airflow is just right. I can't wait for summer to get here to see how much difference it will make Show details

Awesome bit of equipment. I recently got told I had a lot of heavy metals in my lungs from years of welding mainly galvanised steel, so I researched and found what I thought was a good mask giving me the convenience of being able to lift the welding shield and still have full use of the respirator to be able to grind etc. Very happy with my purchase. Show details

Generally good bit of gear, the Velcro in the back of the hood is quite annoying and I ended up cutting it out. it’s a bit difficult to use for gas cutting as the lens can’t figure out to darken or not sometimes. but overall a good product. Show reply

I previously had a Jackson helmet and scrubber and utilising my new purchase of the WELDCLASS setup I found the helmet much lighter, the power pack lighter, more comfortable and with a good run time. The helmet is robust enough for most operating conditions and holds onto my head securely. Show details

Very happy with this helmet, the only negative is the straps are too short for a larger man. Have fixed this with a set of braces. to hold up the air pump. Show details

This helmet is brilliant! I use it for tig welding and any job that has any gal or nasty fumes of any sort. The pros Comfort Display Adjustment Quality Air filter quality and fan speed and noise Now the cons... Battery could do with a USB type C Charg cable. The helmet could do with more durable bolts and straps. Note, being my first PAPR helmet I couldn't be happier with the pice and the support from Weldclass. Recommend this product Show details

Excellent service from trade tools they answered all of my questions. Shield is comfortable and battery last much longer then the stated 10 hours on low setting . Would be nice if you had a link directly to the r850 welding shield instead of the 650 which is not the same as it doesn't have the flip top . Show details

What a great Welding Helmet – I have been after a Welding Helmet with PAPR Respirator for a while but was put off by the cost. After seeing the price of the Weldclass PROMAX 850, I thought why not. The first time I welded with it I was gob smacked at the clarity, the field of view and the helmet not fogging as it was a hot humid day.
