Can anyone suggest an alternative manufacture/supplier for replacing Whitco spiral balances for double hung windows. Thank you

I heard from a window restorer that SchlegelGiesse produce the best spiral sash balances. They come with a 10-year warranty. The Australian branches are in Sydney and Perth. Contact details can be found here: external link  However, all metal spirals have an inherent poor design and will fail. So 10 or so years of OK use is the best that can be expected from them.
