Great product as reviewed by a pro – I use this paint in a professional capacity as an appliance repairer and it's the best out there for touch up repairs. Other users who have had issues with bubbling - it is caused by poor surface preparation. It usually happens if the original finish isn't bonded properly to the fridge, you need to sand it back until you have a good key, and the… Read more ·  1

bubbling speaks more to a cheap finish on the fridge as opposed to this product being unfit for purpose. If you do use it and it doesn't bond right, you can take the newly applied paint back off with acetone or paint thinners wet or dry, and prep your surface right, its one of the reasons we love it, that it's very forgiving and cones right back off if you get a run or bubbling or some other issue. Generally using acetone won't affect the original paint. The one big downside of this paint is that even mild solvents like degreaser tend to soften it, so you can't clean it with anything other than soapy water once applied or it will turn back into paint. I've heard of people using it for baths, I can't imagine it would last long in that application. I also wouldn't paint a whole fridge with it, that's not a reasonable expectation. If you want to do that you need a spray booth and a proper gun, you'd also need to sand the entire fridge. The product is great, but it isn't magic. If you expect this paint will magically transform you into a spray painting professional who doesn't need to key their surface, it won't do that. 90 percent of painting is prep, always has been, whatever paint you go with.

Refreshed vanity sink – Used this product to refresh old stained vanity top with sink. Prepped as recommended. Mask worn. Fumes/Smells potent. (Use where ventilation is possible) Coverage good. Dry time between coats abit longer than expected. ( sunny day temp 25°) Over all happy with the result

Dreadful product – Not an even gloss finish. Its not rocket science to prep and use product. However, the worst spray paint finish I have ever encountered. Used three cans on a small 3 way fridge hoping it was a coverage issue. Proved to be a complete waste of time and money. Very disappointing.

Terrible – Terrible result. Followed the instructions very closely but it bubbled on exposed metal parts similar to other reviews. Not sure why White Knight would put out such a sub standard product. Also one can wouldn't do a whole fridge. Somehow I'll have to try and use an etch primer and try and do it again. Would be much better if it were a roll on product.

TERRIBLE – I used the White Knight Fridge & Appliance paint as per the directions to try and touch up my fridge. I did a test on the existing paint prior to application and it was fine. However, when sprayed on the area where there was some wear and the metal was showing, the paint bubbled and took off even more paint. It does say on the product that you can… Read more

use it on bare metal and factory paint. Also, the smell is incredibly overpowering. Bunnings refunded the product. I found the customer service at White Knight Paints less than helpful and put the blame on me. It has now cost me more to paint the entire fridge with a different brand of paint.

Terrible product – Followed the instructions to the letter and the result was a very matt finish, not the "gloss finish that is ideal for fridges". Paint was very high on fumes. Left the back of my throat feeling raw. Would not recommend this product to anyone. Extremely disappointed after all the hard work.

Absolute waste of a day – After following instructions meticulously the result is a disaster. After using an etch primer on the exposed metal parts. Then using a putty spray to cover imperfections and sanding with 1200 grit emery paper I began the final coats of White Knight fridge and app. spray. Globules of spray appeared on the surface from the application of the… Read more

second coat onwards , then with every coat. The can was well shaken The final coat is dull and lumpy from the globules emitted from the can. The surface was vertical during the operation. We are putting the door back on with a lumpy , dull finish. At least we have got rid of the rust spots...

Great colour. Great coverage – I have found this paint to be very good. The colour is perfect for fridges, freezers, washers and dryers. It has great coverage, low on fumes holds well and I've not had any issue with chipping or other. Light sanding of area to be painted is advised. Do it right the first time and there's no need for touch up. I absolutely recommend this product. Perfect match for new appliances.
