Broke my phone glass – I ordered whitestone dome for my S23 ultra thinking it would be amazing to have glass protection on my less than year old phone. I baby my devices and it has no damage. I read the installation instructions, watched the video and when I went to clip my phone into the jig I heard a snap and to my horror one of the plastic nubs that holds the phone… Read more
in place CRACKED MY PHONE SCREEN!
I immediately got in touch with Samsung, absolutely fuming that my phone has been damaged. I have been quoted $450 to repair it and am pursuing compensation with Whitestone. I am currently waiting for a response on their end as I cannot believe a $60 product has now effectively cost me $510. EDIT: Whitestone's response is effectively "we aren't responsible for damage during installation" I've attached their response to my review.
Be aware of this when installing whitestone products - you may just end up with a massive bill like I did (which I really do not have the money for)
If I receive any compensation (highly unlikely) I'll adjust my review. For now I am in shock and preparing myself for a horribly expensive repair just because I wanted to protect (HA. HA.) my phone screen.
Excellent screen protector – First time using a screen protector. The installation was so easy and gave a perfect fit. I was actually surprised as I was prepared for a painstaking process, but they have nailed it and removed the chance of human error with the tools provided. The screen protector was on my phone for 2 years and provided 100% protection. In the final stages of… Read more
the protector's life, it did develop small, hair-thin scratches. But that was to be expected to eventually happen.
TL;DR
- Easy installation. Easier than expected with a perfect fit. - Protects your screen well. - About 2yrs to develop small scratches.
Don't order directly from Whitestone Dome – Have not received product yet so can't comment on that. I can comment on customer support and shipping though. The only shipping on their offical website was expensive express shipping around 30USD. Ordered on 21 of November and was sent tracking on the 24 of November, claiming they sent it, I kept checking the tracking and they only created the… Read more
label but hadn't sent it. After 8 days from ordering I emailed them asking them to confirm they sent it. They ignored me, just checked the tracking again and they finally sent it on the 5th of December.
TL;DR I paid almost as much as the product for express shipping (only option) and they didn't send it for two weeks and ignored my email.
No easier or better than cheaper products – I have installed a few protectors in my time. This product is overly complicated, using liquid glue and UV curing process. Despite the elaborate kit and rigid attention to instructions, it still did not adhere across entire surface by itself. Based on product and Youtube video advice, I removed and cleaned screen protector and phone screen.… Read more
Started from scratch with back-up materials, same result. Despite all afforts and tricks, could not get protector to adhere across entire surface, so no point in going on to UV curing. Had to abandon it in the end.
Waste of money – Purchased this for my new S22 Ultra phone. I didn't mind the price to protect an expensive device. Firstly, I don't understand why the package is 2 pack. Why can't it be single pack? Does this mean that this is expected to break, therefore a spare? Regardless, the cover looks great and fits perfectly except the fingerprint biometric has become… Read more
unreliable. I have re-enrolled several times and it still unreliable. The other thing that I observed is that when customizing a home page (ie: long press on the screen), it is very difficult to get into edit mode. It feels like the screen is slippery that a slight movement of the finger during the long press prevents it from going into edit mode.
I removed the cover and things are back to normal. Fingerprint is reliable, long press to edit home page works well. $99 waste of money and still have not heard back from Whitestone on warranty.
Absolute Rubbish - Do not waste your money – 1- The product has a QR code to link to an installation video. This link was incorrect for the model. 2 - After following the instructions exactly, there is a long line that runs vertically. This line matches the centre bar that holds the glue down. I assume that it is some form of stress fracture? 3 - The edge is brittle, 1st cracks/chips occurred on day one, second was on day 25. 4 - Expensive, overpriced, ineffective rubbish.
Fiddly but worth it. Quality result – I bought from the Australian subsidiary as I live in Australia, not from global / Korean HQ. Local delivery in under 1 week. It cost 5% of phone cost. AM Film have similar product (same UV polymer bonding glue trick) but cheaper (cannot comment on comparable glass quality). Installation is elaborate but there's loads of videos on YouTube. I'm not… Read more
at all practical but by fastidiously following videos (watch at least two different ones before attempting), managed to install perfectly first time. My sweaty hands were probably the main problem. All the equipment is provided and the process is logical. There is a reason for every step, follow like a robot! I suggest dry run before deploying adhesive for real. End result looks and feels immaculate. Fits with Bare case. Fingerprint recognition success rate decreased dramatically, even after re - registering fingerprints and increasing touch sensitivity to the point where I switched to face recognition (on Note 20 Ultra handset). This might be a deal breaker for some. Writing this review using S pen on newly installed protector feels exactly like writing on 'naked' screen. I totally empathise with the many negative reviews, this product requires more work than I am accustomed to. Maybe find a trusted friend who works with their hands?
Great product, horrible service and delivery – Bought one from white dome direct in beginning August. It’s now end of September and still haven’t received the item. No ETA and little communication. I bought one previously and it’s certainly a great product. But the wait has left me angry, and phone now scratched waiting for that long. Had I known, I would have never purchased one.
Not at all satisfied – It has been 3 weeks since I placed my order with Whitestone, and I am still waiting to take receipt, this is despite forking out premium $$ for their rapid courier service for my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Screen Protector. Email and phone communications to Whitestone Dome have gone unanswered. Sorry guys, but this is no way to treat your customers.… Read more
For this I give you one star, as quite frankly, you have not honoured your side of the contract. That said, should I ever take receipt of my screen protector, I shall be happy to submit another review.
Great product. Would consider again – Looked at several you tube videos including whitestone first. Cleaned table well. Laid everything out in order. Almost perfect job. I missed some edge plastic on phone screen. Also at very top of screen in each corner slight bubbling. 2 years in 2 cracks and 1 star from drops. Hope is only in protector. Fits with otterbox defender on Note 9 .… Read more
Pros. I believe a great product. Cons, a little pricey but on a $1500 phone was worth it. Takes time to fit, about an hour. My thoughts, if you are a handy practical person, you should be able to do it. If not find a friend who is. If you don't think you could do it, you probably should not try.
Don't. Just don't – Galaxy 10+. A fiddly, finicky, time consuming, frustrating, nightmare to install. And that's not the worst of it..... Despite viewing and studying several different installation videos and following Whitestone's own video to a tee, nothing - NOTHING - went as per the instruction videos. It took an entire afternoon and several tries to get it… Read more
installed properly - and only after I called in professional help.
Then once installed, my Otterbox Pursuit, which is supposed to be compatible, lifted and cracked the Dome screen in the bottom corner! It seems the only cases compatible are ones which don't make any contact with the curved screen (see below) - leaving it exposed at the sides and offering minimal impact protection.
When I contacted Whitestone directly I received the following reply: "Cases should allow for a 2mm clearance between the phone and the case; anything less than this would render the case to be incompatible with the protector." Do not believe the many (I suspect sponsored) Youtube videos about installation or case compatibility with this product.
Save yourself a mountain of stress and a considerable sum of money - If you want to protect your Samsung phone's curved screen, buy some other screen protector which works with protective cases and actually does what the manufacturer claims.
Satisfied with the warranty service – Bought one and installed myself. Start bubbling up due to incorrect installation. Called them and they asked to bring it to the store. They replaced and installed it for free. Advice: Don't wipe off the excess glue on the side before curing process, otherwise it will peel off and start bubbling up around the edges.
Horrible overly priced product and even worse customer "care" – Purchased two one for me and my husband. Product would not install correctly even following the instructions and video research before installation. And my husband's was cracked upon arrival. Contacted "Whitestone Dome" warranty customer service and it's a JOKE they have absolutely no regard for their customers what so ever. I was basically told… Read more
"amazon will take care of it" talked to amazon and they said they do not do replacements on 3red party seller products. Contacted Whitestone again and this time I was told after I paid 100$ for two faulty screen savers I have to pay shipping both ways for a replacement... STAY AWAY HORRIBLE Company and horrible quality
Fingerprint Won't Work At All, Has started chipping away on edges after 2 weeks, Overpriced Junk – The best part of this protector is the way it's installed. Brilliant. Other than that, It's useless. Promises the fingerprint will work, doesn't...My old phone's $20 glass protector lasted longer.
Absolute waste of money – I would have expected more from a protector that costed me 99 dollars. The thing has shattered without being dropped. Soft bumps here and there. And the whole thing is sh*t E bay sells 5 dollar protectors with the glue and UV light to cure the glue. I am going to try that.
Pinprick appeared on screen – My whitesone glass was"professionally" installed by Happy Tel in Joondalup Australia. I charged my S10 over night and in the morning a pinprick appeared on the glass. It was raised on the outside of the glass. Normally this would indicate that the glass was broken on the screen side. I DID NOT drop the phone. I believe there was a flaw in the… Read more
glass which caused this small dot. However your providers were adamant that I dropped it, even stating that someone could have broken into our house and damaged the phone. Common sense would be they would steal the phone seeing that it was less than a day old. Your video is false representation. IF my phone fell it would have fallen on the carpet. Not on pebbles or furniture. Your providers would not replace the dome glass. even though the issue could be from bad installation. There is no warranty according to them.
Terrible Back Up – I judge a product not only on the quality of the product, but also on the backup support. In this case, support has been terrible. I have an issue with my glass - the finger print reader on Galaxy Note 10 Plus does not work properly 80% of the time - even after following all instructions for installation. Tried contacting the seller. No response.… Read more
Contacted Whitestone Dome Glass in the US - happy to send me another one - at a cost (supposedly shipping costs). The cost of shipping is the same as buying a replacement screen here.
Purchased from Whitestone Australia eBay store. This is - I believe - an official online store. They don't respond to emails.
So - my recommendation - before you buy this glass, please do a good google search - you will see that many people have the same problem - contradictory to all the positive YouTube reviews from reviewers that get paid - the glass is not the best for Note 10 phones. I personally would NOT recommend this product because if you do have an issue, you're most likely going to kiss your $70 away because there is no support.... At least in Australia that is.
Excellent screen protector – Purchased to put on a new phone. Complicated to put on the screen, a must watch thru you tube is needed. Take your time with it. Once covered you would not even know there was a screen protector on. Item is not cheap but does come with a second application to install. Worth a look at this product.
Absolutely terrible product. Glue does not work. Gets stuck on the case and breaks easily – Glue does not work after two attempts following instructions perfectly. It gets stuck on the edge of the case and breaks easily when you so much as press hard on it. Overpriced and under quality.

High priced glass screen protector that covers the curves, but has too many problems – I bought this for my Samsung S10, planning to apply it before the phone was even used. Firstly not, it's expensive - approx $70. But it is "supposed" to work with the Samsung fingerprint reader. TLDR: I wouldn't buy this again. Pros - Looks and feels like glass... it is glass though, so that's expected. - I expect it offers good protection. -… Read more
Good warranty service from the official Australian seller on eBay.
Cons - Expensive. - Fiddly and somewhat time consuming to apply. - It ruins your ability to effectively use the ultrasonic fingerprint reader on Samsung Galaxy devices. - Some problems with accurate finger tracking. - Doesn't fully cover the glass screen at the top and bottom. - Doesn't seem to last - started bubbling after a couple of weeks. - Non existent warranty support from official Whitestone Dome facebook page. - Lots of wasted plastic and electronics (e.g the whole jig the phone and protector go in are throw away made of lots of plastic items and it comes with a UV LED lamp to cure it, also a use once product if you have no other use for it. Keep it just in case you need a replacement though, because they won't send that to you.
Full Story I watched the videos about three or four times through before I started, I read an re-read the instructions, it not an easy procedure applying this and getting it right and I wanted mine perfect.
The first one I received broke whilst I was peeling off the clear protective backing. The whole glass screen protector shattered right through (see pic). I had to wait for a replacement to arrive; thankfully the local Australian warranty service from the vendor Whitestone on eBay was good to deal with.
The second one arrived and I went through the video again and reread the instructions. I was much more familiar with the process, even though I didn't get to apply it previously. But during the application, when I released the protector onto the phone, there were bubbles right in the middle. I followed the instructions, cleaned it up, and reapplied but had exactly the same problem (see pics). It only comes with two tubes of the applicator glue, so I had to ask for another one. Thankfully the Australian supplier was helpful and sent out yet another.
By this time though I was on my third application and had waited about 10 days between receiving replacements. Unfortunately I received a replacement protector for the wrong type of phone, so I had to wait again. This time the Australian supplier gave me some slightly different advice, which isn't in the instructions... Wait until after the glue has slid past the centre line and about half of it has contacted the protector, before releasing the protector. I tried this and voila, it worked, but what a hassle.
I followed all the instructions about curing it and applying my fingerprints. But even then the ultrasonic fingerprint reader works maybe 10% of the time. It's ineffective now and makes me want to replace this screen protector with something else. The suggestion from Whitestone is that you your fingerprints in twice, e.g if it your left thumb, add your left thumb twice into the fingerprints section. I think the idea is this helps it identify your print. But this also halves the number of fingerprints you can store. I want both thumbs and both index fingers stored (four total), but there aren't enough spaces to store each of those twice. And even when I have done my thumbs twice, it still doesn't work very well (maybe 20% of the time).
And now after about 15 days since applying it, it has started to grow small bubble cracks in one corner (see pic). These disappear briefly when you rub it, but quickly return. This is super disappointing. I had a perfect application after repeated attempts and it's barely lasted one month.
And because the screen protector doesn't fill the actual screen at the top and bottom of the phone, dust collects around the edges (see pic).
I'll be returning this for a refund hopefully and buying something else.
FYI - The service from the official Whitestone Dome facebook page is atrocious. They haven't responded to a single message from me in weeks. The autoresponder bot replies they'll get back to me at their "earliest opportunity". But it's been one month since my first message to them and no actual response. I'd give them one star based on that, but the local warranty made up for it.
Read the fine print – Be sure you make sure you are purchasing off an "authorized dealer". Whitestone wouldn't cover a warranty replacement after the protector broke. Spending $70 on the kit with the impression I was getting warranty is very frustrating. I wouldn't have purchased if I had known otherwise. Won't buy again.
Pros: Excellent product. Cons: Fiddly to install, expensive – While being a little fiddly to install, it wins overall on the worst part of installing screen protectors: Bubbles. Oh those bloddy bubbles. Because the adhesive is initially liquid, it's very easy to squeeze out any bubbles, no matter how small they are. Follow the youtube video instructions. Note, the installation procedure is the same… Read more
regardless of the type of phone it's designed for. Look at the video a few times if you have to, and take notes if you have to.
An amazing screen protector that is simply stunning to use – Purchased a Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector after reviewing a lot of screen protectors. Recently, I dropped my near new Samsung Galaxy S8+ and wanted something to protect and if possible restore the screen via a screen protector (the restoring the screen was a hope & a wish) The end result of the Whitestone Dome Glass is simply… Read more
outstanding, it is truly amazing to see the product once it's on the phone.
I decided to go with the Whitestone Dome Glass because it looks to the only screen protector that is not just a stick on screen cover. The Dome Glass used a removable adhesive on the screen to hold the protector (dispensed via their patented tray and dispensing unit) The instructions are a very small font but there are some excellent YouTube videos and I used those because they were easier to follow and I could rewind, stop, start or pause.
The kit came with two complete sets of screen wipes, screen dust/tacking stickers, adhesive containers and cleaning cloths. The protector can be removed if needed, so I'm guessing the extra's are if you muck and and need to try again.
It can be daunting to use the kit because of all its component parts but if you follow the instructions, take your time and make sure you're following the instructions (I found YouTube better ) then the end result is just simply amazing. I was blown away by the end quality result and remember that crack I was hoping and wishing to also fix, well it was.
On a side note: I also used this Whitestone Dome Glass kit because I was hoping that it would also cover a small crack I had in the bottom left corner of my Galaxy S8+. It was only located in the corner and was also refined to the corner. I was hoping the adhesive would also flow into the crack and fill it so that the Dome Glass sat over 'now' filled the crack. Well, to my amazement, this worked. The adhesive flowed into the crack, filling the small crack but leaving enough adhesive to still bond the Dome Screen to the phone.
