After avoiding this business for years because of poor and rude customer service, I went in to get a price and availability for a part I needed, and Dylan, who served me, was very helpful and polite. He called me back as promised with a follow-up to my request. The new staff seem to be a lot better now.
I was explicitly told over the phone that I could return a part if it didn’t fix my issue. When I returned it as instructed, staff flat-out refused, saying, “I don’t care what you were told on the phone, we’re not taking it.” If you value your rights as a consumer, avoid at all costs.
Terrible service person. Walked in told me what the issue was (control panel) without even looking at the appliance. Didn’t even bother turning it on at the wall to check it. Extremely dissatisfied. Would not recommend.
Avoid these guys - repairman broke equipment that wasn't part of the warranty and they refuse to fix. I suggested that if he broke a window does that mean it isn't compensated as it's not part of the product warranty? They don't care and will just fob you off. Now up for $$$ to replace item they broke.
Stay away from WAS and electrolux – I bought an Electrolux washing machine that lasted 2 months before it threw up an E91 error. I reported the fault to Eletrolux with photos and details of the fault. I waiting 3 weeks for a service person from Wholesales Appliance Supplies to come and see the washing machine - he had no parts, had been given no details on the error and all he did… Read more
was turn it and an off, and said he needed at least another week to get the parts! So between electrolux and WAS I recommend stay away for both of these compaines! Truly dissapointing
Great source of appliance parts – I ordered a pressure release valve for an old pressure cooker. It seemed to be the only place that I could find it. The ordering process was easy, payment when through smoothly, and the item was delivered from interstate by ordinary parcel post within 3 business days. I couldn't ask for better. Very happy.
Highly recommended company – Reliable, professional and reasonably priced fridge repair. Great to find a company who can do repairs on white goods and avoid unnecessary and expensive replacement. James' advice and experience was much appreciated. Many thanks from Peter at Arundel.
Appalling service – My brand new washing machine broke down after 3 wash loads . Called this company out for repair , was told part on order and repaired within 2 weeks . Waited 3 weeks , no information , called them back was then told part would not be available for FOUR MONTHS ! They never had the courtesy to call me with an update time wait . My advice RUN !
Warranty repair for Westinghouse fridge – A big thankyou to James who came and repaired my fridge today. You were flexible with times and great with communication regarding this call-out for a warranty repair. I highly recommend James for his professionalism and just being a nice guy to deal with.
Warranty claim - LG washing machine – I called to book a technician as instructed by LG warranty claims department. The receptionist was aggressive & rude, talked over the top of me and would not let me explain that I was following instructions re booking. I was told I’d have to bring the machine to them. Find any alternative you can to this company. A follow up call to speak with the manager was the same person who was not interested at all.
Dishwasher – Receptionist rudest person I have ever done business with. I rang and asked what was jammed in the impella and I got a lecture about how crap a dishwasher it is. I said all I want to know is if it was something mechanical or some sort of food stuck it it as my Miele dishwasher Had the same thing happen and it was a seed. She told me no one in 12… Read more
years has asked her that question and the technicians would laugh at her if she asked. I told her I'm paying for it so I want to know why it was stuck, if the tenant did it they were responsible for it. Well ! Did she get all high and mighty on me. Loudly telling me if I was trying to fob it off onto the tenant to pay! She kept saying it's a crap machine, made in Turkey, that says it all! I said if it's mechanical I pay, if the tenant was careless with it they pay. I thought it was a simple question, boy was I wrong. I ended the phone call so upset an infuriated. I rang my property manager and told her never to do business with then for anything on my property. Stay away from this mob
Customer Service – Absolutely no customer service from administration, rude and hung up when I tried to explain that I couldn't make a time that suited them. Would give a 0 but unable
RUDE SERVICE – After driving through to their branch, located in Nerang and simply requiring a part for my vacuum cleaner, I was “barked” at by one of their sales staff and treated in a rude and off-hand manner. I have used an alternate company. Good manners cost nothing. Avoid this company!
discusting – didnt even get to order the lady on the phone was rude selfritus and thinks she nose all befour you have finished then i read the other reviews, she needs retraining
Avoid at all cost!!!!!! – Had the worst service from this company! They are soo incompetent useless and rude. The lady on the reception phones needs to re evaluate her employment in customer service, as she has zero skills to perform that roll. The fridge was left with a worsened problem to what it was in the first place. The repairer had no idea what he was doing and lied… Read more
about the appliance to get himself out from actually opening his tool bag. Absolutely disgusting service and should be avoided at all costs!
BUYER BEWARE......... A MUST READ... from a legit customer – I have a LG top of the range dishwasher. I booked it in with Wholesale Appliances Nerang to have it diagnosed as to why it is tripping out our home circuit breaker. The diagnosis set me back $80 which had to be paid upfront. Within 6 hours I received a call to say that the washer had numerous issues and would cost in excess of $800 to repair. Holy… Read more
moly......... There are only 5 actively working parts on any dishwasher. The technician advised me that nearly all working parts had to be replaced. Then I asked about a warranty. He stated that there wouldnt be a warranty as the issues may also be in the wiring harness and the mother board. Then he proceeded to advise me that these items also would require further investigation and replacement. At this point in time the repair costs would be greater than purchasing a brand new top of the range LG dishwasher. This would also mean that I had NO warranty on the repairs unlike a brand new item with a warranty. On that note I decided to call it quits and said we would appreciate the item be put back together (properly) and I will pick it up. The technician then proceeded to ask us if we would like them to dispose of the dishwasher for us which will save me a trip to their shop and the tip. I rejected this and his reaction in his voice changed dramatically. You could hear the anger in his voice. What I found out when collecting the item is that Wholesale Appliances Nerang sell second hand appliances that they acquire from their customers after their customers purchase a new item from them. What I assume is they convince you that your appliance is hugely defective and too expensive to repair so you dispose of it. They are hoping you will give it to them for free so they in turn can repair it (if there was actually anything wrong with it) and then resell it at a hugely inflated price. Maybe even strip down your appliance if it is defective and then salvage the working parts and use them on the second hand items they sell instore. Maybe even use these parts to fix your appliance but maybe charge you for a new part. You would never know what they do behind the scenes. You would be out of pocket as they try to sell you one of their new appliances and then they make even bigger profits on your old appliance. Hence the attitude from them when I decided to collect the item. When I got there the side of the dishwasher was badly scratched and this was blamed on me and the cabinetry that surrounded it in my kitchen yet there was NO damage to the sides when I dropped it off. Id say this was done as a vendetta for my seeing through their scam. Then I said that I hope the technician reinstalled the parts properly and I hope he didnt leave any parts unattached. The technician who gave me a hand lifting the washer into my car said it looks like the dishwasher wasnt even opened as the sound deadening material on the back hadnt been disturbed. WOW........ My question is....... How on earth can a qualified technician diagnose parts on any appliance if they dont even open it up to individually inspect and test the parts or circuits for defects. I can see why they wanted the $80 upfront. Its sure money in their pockets. Its non refundable. I cant blame the girl at the reception desk for this as she isnt the one who inspects the item and makes the diagnosis of the appliance. She only is the pawn that they use to book the item in. Its the technician and business owner who is the scammers. They must work hand in hand with each other. I would say their theory would be "prove that we didnt open the appliance and didnt test the units". Legally they know this would be difficult for you or I to prove and the financial expense through litigation with a lawyer would out weigh the price of a new appliance so write off the appliance and the $80 spent. My advise to other people who have a problem appliances....... DONT use this mob as they are happy to take your money with a smile on their faces and once they have your money and item then they have the upper hand. Easy money and a perfect scam. Dodgy plus. Luckily for me I do have a friend who is a qualified technician and he has now looked at the dishwasher and said that the machine isnt majorly defective and is an easy fix. The heating element was at fault and after replacing the element the dishwasher is working perfectly. As good as new. YES it ended up being a cheap fix. I didnt have to dispose of my $1300 dishwasher. I normally dont mix business with pleasure but to prove a point and prove that Wholesale appliances Nerang do rip customers off in order to make huge profits I engaged my friend to diagnose and fix the machine for me. Move over real estate agents and second hand car dealers. Theres a new kid on the block who are better than you at conning people out of their money. I will never go to the manufactures of these products (ie LG, whirlpool, fisher and pickle, bosch etc etc) again to request who their recommended repairers are. If its out of warranty....... engage a smaller independent repairer. Someone who is genuinely capable of repairing an appliance and who doesnt carry the parts in their shop and most importantly DONT sell appliances for a living. LESSON LEARNED. Buyer beware. Where is the ACCC. Arent they suspose to be monitoring ill business practices and protect buyers. HMMMMMMMM Another Govt department with people who just sit there and get paid handsomely for doing nothing. Must be great during covid to be paid like that and live the lifestyle and do nothing in the process.
Pathetic receptionist abilities to get a simple job done – 2 weeks waiting for a failed no show for a emergency repair for working business to get a basic washing machine back online. Now they expect me to wait another week! Pathetic receptionist abilities to get a simple job done, refused to take information to pass on to the repair man. Her position is useless.
Repaired LG microwave – I was concerned when LG organized my microwave oven to be checked by Wholesale appliance supplies with their bad reviews. I found nothing to complain about with my dealings with them. I was greeted by a pleasant lady who already had all my details from LG warranty dept. I left the oven with her, she said we will contact you in 2 days max. on the… Read more
second day a technician rang me to confirm the problems I was having so he could replicate them, he rang me 2 days later with confirmation that they had fixed the problem by replacing some control components, come and pick it up and give it a workout. The staff on pickup were excellent and even carried the oven out to my car and placed it in the boot. It's been a couple of weeks now and working fine thank you and thanks LG for repairs under warranty.
Rip Off – Wish I had thought to read the reviews before contacting them. Our LG front load washing machine had gotten very loud when on spinning cycle. Husband said it’s a bearing for sure. Rang Wholesale Appliance Supplies in Nerang the girl on the phone agreed it would be a bearing & said it would be $160 for the callout plus parts, little did we know &… Read more
I’m sure she did that the whole drum had to be removed at a cost of $600 plus! Needless to say we paid the $160 for absolutely nothing!! They’re a scam & this is how they make their money. Being pensioners it’s bloody annoying being taken for a ride. Do not use them. May even take this further with ACCC or the likes.
4 weeks to repair Dishwasher and still waiting – Friendly enough staff, but no updates during waiting process. Was told the dishwasher would be taken away and reinstalled “by the end of the week”, that was four weeks ago. Multiple times I’ve followed up with no updates from the company. They’ve struggled to get replacement parts, even though they are the recommended company to use as suggested… Read more
by the manufacturer. Should have just bought a new dishwasher but as it was just out of warranty it seemed like a good idea to repair. Repair cost is now about 80% of replacement cost. Still waiting and have given up asking for updates. AVOID.
Unlicensed and unqualified workers fixing electrical goods. What could possibly go wrong! Everything – Broke the dryer they were here to fix. Unqualified staff. No help at all. Very rude. Manger Stacey is a piece of work, nasty power hungry little girl. Don’t use
They need to lift their game – Wholesale Appliance Supplies in Nerang really needs to lift its game in delivering customer service and after sales support. I was particularly displeased when I made a request and it was not met, and when I called the customer service team on the phone to complain they hung up on me. Their failure to resolve my matter resulted in Electrolux… Read more
having to step in and resolve the matter for them. The bottom line is you always have to pay for really terrible service at Wholesale Appliance Supplies. I asked for a written apology a couple of weeks ago and never got it even though Electrolux told Wholesale Appliance Services to do it. They don't even listen to the manufacturer, so how could they possibly listen to the customer?
Dreadful Service – Rude, condescending, without care, incompetent. 5 weeks and 3 visits equals an appliance that is still broken. I have little confidence that this will change upon the 4th visit next week.
Terrible customer service – The worst customer service experience possible. They refused to fix our 8 month old fridge / freezer because they said they didn't like our tone on the phone. Have lodged a complaint with the Department of fair trading. Unbelievably unprofessional staff.
Bad customer service - bad technicians – I called them after I have been transferred via Harvey Norman for Air Condition repair - The technician attitude was bad when the tenant just was not there for an emergency in spite that he didn't ring before his coming and when we tried to book another appointment the lady at the office was so rude and insists on call-out fees while the air con… Read more
is under warranty - very aggressive and rude - pay call out or BYE and close the phone line !! I had to escalate the matter to Harvey Norman to see how their agents act with their customers
Bad Customer Experience – My job was a simple and a straight forward repair. Instead I had a bad customer experience that was arrogant and pricey. Their supervisor canceled my job when I complained and refused to escalate me to his manager. I went to Brisbane Professional Appliance Repairs instead they were not only cheaper they came at 7am in the morning before work and… Read more
offered a highly professional and friendly service. I only gave 2 stars to this review on account of the owner in Gosford who I finally complained too but until he addresses the culture of bad service in this store which is not only their people but also their processes, frankly I'd go elsewhere.
Thoroughly professional company – Our LG 7.5kg washing machine badly tore the front seal and we contacted Wholesale Appliance Supplies at Bennetts Green to see if it could be replaced under warranty. Not wanting to incur the additional cost of a repair person in the event it was not covered by warranty we photographed the damaged part and my wife visited the company. She found… Read more
the front ladies very polite and helpful, they asked a second person to assess the damage shown in the photograph. We appreciated this assistance and we think the company appreciated the opportunity to order the parts and repair the fault with a single visit from their repairman, a cost effective solution all round. We cannot fault this company they demonstrated a genuine interest in helping to solve our problem.
Got scammed for $140 – Do not make business with these scammers. Got scammed for $140. I inquired them regarding a fridge door reversal. I was first informed by both LG and Wholesale Appliance Supplies that it was not covered under warranty. That was all good, I thanked the girl at Wholesale Appliance Supplies for the quote and decided I don’t want to pursue it any… Read more
further, and hence never called them back
To my surprise, a couple of weeks later, Wholesale Appliance Supplies started to chase me down on the phone. The girl on the phone said they got a request from LG about the fridge reversal. I repeatedly asked her if this (the door reversal) is covered under warranty and for free, and she said it was. So I decided to go ahead with the service. I wouldn’t if it would incur a cost.
A while after the service, I got an invoice for $140. I called them up, and the man answering was rude and harshly deny that any of them would ever say that it was for free. Never. “They don’t do that". But, when I asked if he believed I was lying he didn’t think so. Doesn’t make sense, does it? I offered to meet halfway. No dice. He said if I don’t pay the full amount it he will send the invoice to a debt collector and will be even more expensive for me. I felt very uneasy. That’s customer service for you.
