my sisters and I collected my brothers ashes from the Elsternwick Office, 591 Glenhuntly Road. The receptionist was hidden behind the desk; she didn't even get up from her seat to greet us. We couldnt see her only heard her voice. told to write down the name of the person we were collecting then sit over on the couch and wait. A man appeared… Read more
scuffley dressed in shorts, blue polo shirt with drink spilled down front, short socks dirty shoes. White bag and clip board in hand, directing me to sign in two places after sighting my ID. Then handed the bag over like take away food. NO RESPECT SHOWN AT ALL. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.
The service was outstanding. The kindness extended to us was incredible. A staff member was kind enough to drop mum’s ashes to our doorstep because she lived nearby. I would recommend them to everyone.

My Mother In-Law deserved much better, a mother, grandmother & amazing friend passed just before Christmas which no doubt was a complication in this dreadful experience. Even making allowances they accepted a duty of care when they signed us up and… Read more
accepted our money. We were across everything fairly quickly as mother was 98, her passing after a short illness was sad but not unexpected. Having recently moved to the Central Coast, NSW, we had no particular funeral Director in mind, researched online and we found this company- seemed to have great reviews. After the initial phone call, sending our completed paperwork by email to address given we rang again after a few days later as there was no reply. Each time we rang they told us “we’re very busy”, they had no idea who they were talking with even after giving our details repeatedly. It appears the original guy my dealt with walked out (or was helped out the door at around the same time) his emails were not viewed. [Name Removed] sent the paperwork a second time to a different email provided this time they got them, meanwhile we did some research ourselves. Found a lovely chapel for the Celebration of Life close to home. we requested this and were assured it was fine. We were also told the cremation services were all done in outer Sydney and perhaps the ashes wouldn’t make it back in time for the service. We started finding our Eulogy text and photographs, even designed a rough order of service. We included selected songs and artists who performed each and got those wishing to offer a eulogy to keep time down so all would be contained within the 30 minute chapel time. So we were really well prepared…the trouble was Willed weren’t, they let us down in most ways during the process. 1. We didn’t want a sad funeral so went about ordering more colourful floral tributes than those meagre flowers included in the package, we were not having a coffin at the Chapel so wanted to fill the space. Indeed we were given no options for the cremation as Willed had failed to book the date/time we’d asked in enough time we got set back behind others. 2. It was ironic to be told only in the morning of the Celebration of Life, the body had been collected, now the cremation was happening 20kms away at a different time/same day…had we known we would have gone to Palmdale Memorial Gardens Instead but that was never an option as this Victorian Based Business has no local knowledge nor expertise.
We did select a wonderful Chaple at Green Point, the lady in the office and our fantastic lady Celebrant were a big help. It was like the left hand didn’t speak to the right hand for all the rest. The Operator of the local Crematoriums are one and the same. They have their own rules, both services must be handled by this operator (looks like Willed only found this out last minute), hence didn’t enable us to attend). 3. When we arrived at the Chaple about 15 minutes before the service we were greeted by a woman called “The Conductor” who told us she had driven from Picton, she was a sub-contractor to Willed and others. She may as well have stayed in Picton on this terrible hot day, the flowers wouldn’t fit in her tiny car so we had to go to the office to pick up & arrange them inside, especially a number of bigger arrangements after this process we were wilting as much as the hundreds of dollars worth of floral tributes. Once service was over we had to remove all flowers before the Chaple Closed. We missed the first 15 minutes of the wake confusing all our guests. 4. I asked about the sign-in book for visitors, I was told they didn’t supply one to the Conductor nor did the Chaple have one, it was suggested I should have brought one myself - Who does this??? 5. I had to hold the doors of the Chaple open as guests left and pointed them to seating at the start, while the conductor stood next to the newly acquired few pages the Chaple Manager kindly strung together on a clipboard. 6. Final straw when the brass plaque was returned by Willed the name was misspelt. We hope they got the right Mother, her watch was also returned with the same misspelt name - don’t they have proof readers here???? I would have thought the crematorium would also have a duty of care in this regard It’s pretty important to ensure there’s no confusion (it’s a bit like mislabelling babies in the maternity ward).
After 8 weeks and various phone calls between the office of B,D& M’s and Willed. we are awaiting the death certificate for probate purposes, fingers crossed. The Manager from Willed told us over and over “You have every right to feel that way”…trouble is she didn’t fix much, we’d paid upfront. I’d never let these people bury my pet in future, suggest you take a good look at what, where & how things are done, they are not all the same.
Follow-up · Flowers lasted only for the day, it was very hot and they weren't cared for after delivery or prepared well by the florist. Parking was fine as it wasn't a huge crowd, had it been it may have required some to park in the overflow parking a bit of a walk away. Seating in the chapel was comfortable.
Dealing with the death of my twin brother... read reviews for Willed and seemed OK. All we wanted to do was arrange his cremation and hold our own personal service. These people could not organise a drinks shout at a bar. We paid our invoice then heard nothing, then nothing, then nothing. Countless calls. Nothing. My brothers service is in two… Read more
days and we still do not know if he has been collected for the cremation. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend. The death of a family member is hard enough without dealing with incompetent used car sales people mascarading as funeral and cremation services. AVOID you do not need the extra grief
Hi Sarah, I just wanted to reach out and personally thank you for all of your support, compassion, and understanding throughout this ordeal. Even though we weren’t able to proceed, you consistently went above and beyond for us, and it truly meant a lot during such a difficult time. a little easier to navigate, and I’m genuinely grateful for the way you handled everything. Thank you again for everything you’ve done. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it is very much appreciated. Kind regards, Arron And the entire wing family
Do NOT use this company under ANY circumstances!! My father passed away recently & the people from Willed took my father’s body to their @storage facility “ with absolutely NO consent, written or otherwise! They told the hospital mortuary that they were the family’s funeral representative, after my mother only ENQUIRED about their service. They… Read more
were able to transport my father to their storage in Melbourne - we live in Geelong- with no consent whatsoever!! Also after being questioned 5 times would NOT tell me where my father was! On the 6th time I stated they either tell me the address or tell the Police the address! The absolute heartache this company has given our family is disgusting. Beware everyone, I don’t want this to happen to anyone else in their time of grief

You do get what you pay for. If your affairs are simple, and you can only spare half an hour. No survivorship, not easy to disambiguate identical names, does not consider adults below the age of 18. Ongoing annual fees if you are not careful.
Willed takes the Stress and Expense out of writing a Will – Great online service. Writing my will was easy and stress free. Customer service was professional, answered my questions and made small changes that I asked for. Show 2 replies

Product seems OK, customer service very poor – We worked on our wills the other night and downloaded them. We noticed they had issues with a few fields, so we went back to change them. We changed the incorrect fields, and the changes showed up in the UI, but not all came through when we downloaded them again. I contacted their customer support, and the response we got from them was rude,… Read more
telling us we did it incorrectly (we tried multiple times over two separate browsers), and the issue came up on both of them. I'm fine working through problems with customer service, but they need training on how to approach people simply trying to use their system.
It doesn't instill confidence when their system has these issues, and their customer support staff are rude when trying to address them.
EDIT: I checked the changes again and it's still making the same mistake. When we download it information is being changed on download. When we select the correct guardian it's automatically reverting the executor to the wrong person.
I've requested a refund.
EDIT2: They have contacted me via phone, addressed the issue and provided a refund. Review updated

Best experience in very sad circumstances – Thank you very much everyone !!! You made everything easier to deal with ! Alex
The best service ever – What a brilliant site! We had a question so we posted an email at 5 to 5pm not expecting a response that day but the lovely Rachel called me straight away and tried to get someone to fix but they'd all gone home so she said she'd someone to look at next day. She kept trying after we hung up and fixed it then sent an email to advise it was good to go. Great Service
Find out how Willed compares to other Services
Know better, choose better.
Seems like a good service, just be mindful of data harvesting – Willed seems like a great service, however a quick read of the privacy policy sounds like the product is not the Will, but rather the data you enter into it and the on-sell of other services. Clauses that gave me concern are: * Section "4.1 Purposes of use and disclosure" ... "(v) notify you of opportunities we think you might be interested in,… Read more
including new product or service offerings..." - To me this reads as I provide you a list of assets, Willed analyse those assets and target me with advertising based on what those are. * Section "4.2. Disclosure to third parties" ... "(i) our employees, related entities, business partners, third party contractors, suppliers and agents from time to time for the purpose of delivering, providing and administering our promotions, deals, competitions, products, services..." - To me this sounds like it's re-inforcing the above.
Seems like the income stream will be advertising against your data that you provided rather than the sale of the will.
Use as you see fit. Might be a great way to get a will done cheaply, but it sounds like the tradeoff is that your data is funding the reduced price.
The service of Willed was problem free – The staff at Willed acted very professional and gentle. Their service was problem free. They handled the process very well at an acceptable fee. I highly recommend Willed to anybody.
