W10 ICONS LOCKED IN PLACE EVERY START-UP – Problem: switching between W10 systems on a PC Desktop - random re-arrangement of desktop icons. Situation: Closing / restarting W10 / W11 - original arrangement of my desktop icons (e.g. applications, work folders etc) scattered all over the place. Tried several downloads that claim to be 'the best'. Solution: Only one - ICON SHEPHERD - effectively solves the problem. Simple installation, easy, logical interface; set to automatic or simple customisation. Now, on every start-up, icons are exactly where they should be. 10+/10! No other product performs anywhere near as well.
