Oh I I wished I'd have taken the time to go to product review and had read the bad reviews of Microsoft 11. It's terrible wish I'd never upgraded, constantly asking me to action something, constantly wanting to do upgrades when the first upgrade took 4 hours. 11 is STILL trying to load on my laptop so I gave up and used my phone to place an order. Just checked, it's STILL trying to load, what a huge piece of rubbish it is.

Terrible Disappointment – I used windows 7 quite happily for a long time, it was straight forward & simple. I have been so unhappy with windows 10 & wouldn’t consider windows 11. Microsoft appear to make it as difficult as possible to use any other apps or systems than their own. It is impossible to find your favourite app on most ocassions. Because windows 11 is obviously no better I have cut my losses & purchased an Apple laptop. It couldn’t be worse. Show details

MY FOOLISH FRIEND – MS windows 10 updates screwed up my hp elitedesk top pc. After the most recent update I got messages that I can't login due to multiple failed attempts for the next two hrs but those two hrs never came. I couldn't reset my windows login outlook account because I had to makeup a new email account for my last reset. I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE MY PREVIOUS… Read more

EMAIL ADDRESS BECAUSE OF PASSWORD ISSUE. This new email account was never used because there was no need for it. The tech support would not unblock it because I couldn't get the password recovery form all cleared up. FIRSTLY I WAS FORCED TO CREATE A NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT THEN I COULD NOT RECOVER IT SINCE I NEVER USED IT FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN WINDOWS LOGIN. The only solution I was offered was to reset windows! I WAS DENIED EMAIL RECOVERY BECAUSE SOMEONE AT MICROSOFT DECIDED ONE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS CANNOT BE TRUSTED. SO TO REITERATE. MS WINDOWS UPDATES SCREWED UP MY PC AND WANTS TO RESET IT.

Windows 10 is fantastic! – I was always going to upgrade and Windows 10 does nothing but impress. I have used it since day one and i love it. It is Microsoft best of everything all rolled into one operating system!

Fine for me, sorry for everyone else – Everyone else seems to have every problem possible with it. I have it on my uni-owned laptop and it works perfectly. I've never been bugged by updates (its possible the uni sorts them out), its never crashed, it runs fast for the laptops specs, it can run a wide range of high-end engineering software. It feels like windows 7 but looks better, if maybe with some missing features. I feel sorry for everyone else but its been great for me.

A great operating system! – I love this operating system of Windows, it has Cortana which is really helpful and it also has the return of the 'Start' button which I am really thankful for. I love Windows XP and it is probably my favourite operating system that has been created by Microsoft for Windows.

Windows/Shmindows – Windows recently updated on my laptop and then told me my password was incorrect, the same password I'd used just prior to the update. Windows then suggested I request a password reset by email using an address I haven't had for years or going to a Web address that was a blank page. Thanks Microsoft I now have a laptop that I can't even use as a boat anchor because I don't own a boat.

Windows a failure – for the last 9 months, Windows 10 tells me to install security upgrades, and then at the 99% tells me that it is now possible. No reason given. Helpdesk says 'the team' is working on the issue. But there's no proof anyone is 'working on it'. Laziness. All I read about Windows 11 is that nothing has improved Next computer will be a Mac. Show details

Very cumbersome - windows 7 was much more user friendly – I find the photos section very tiresome. You have to open in a file before you can forward a photo via e-mail. When checking a hunting camera, all photos have to be downloaded before they can be viewed- unlike windows 7. Excel - you have to go back to the beginning and reopen everything when ever one file is closed. Show details

Why do updates take so long – Why do updates take so long, I can install a new version in less time to update it. It's taken a whole day. Every year it gets worse.

Sorry I downloaded it. No other options – I wish I could havevkept windows 8.1. It was so simple. With windows 10 everything is hidden. Have to search for everything. Type in control panel doesn't show up, have to select options. Talks about ribbons and other names that don't explain what they mean. It's too technical.

Gar bage – Trying to install Windows 10 22H2 and if you make the mistake of logging in to the internet it forces you to use an email address or phone number. Then to top it off they demand your credit card details. Filthy grubs. They've well and truly earned their 1 star rating

It should be called a "Windows Nightmare" ! – My Windows 10 is not able to update over a year! Always some error and long waiting until restore to some working point. Also many errors during using like wifi crashes. This is the worst Windows I ever experienced. It is a joke not an operating system.

Microsoft does not listen – There are many examples of Microsoft adopting the "ITS MY WAY ONLY" with the way it rail roads you with no choices. However just one small one for example is "why can't you protect a folder in Win 10" This is surly not a complicated thing to enact and so many people have complained about it. Goes back to my "they don't care and don't listen". I… Read more

suggest that the feed back needs to go to a higher level to get answered. If so many people are complaining asking etc surely you would think its not hard for Microsoft to monitor the "chatting" and see - ok we seem to have stuffed something up. (Many many stuff ups - but they won't learn from it) That's what happens when you have a monopoly.

Edging backwards – This program railroads you into using Edge. Everything has edge as a default from the search bar to links to screensaver and even pdfs. Try to change it so it says ok your only other options are from the windows store. You go onto the store download a program and it still won't appear as a possible program for it. Try and change it again and… Read more

select that app from the store and all it does is take you to that store's page. It's rubbish that the difficulty in changing the default program is so hard. Never had this problem on old versions of Windows and no way will I use Edge.

Useless time-wasting regular updates – Every time I want to use my windows it takes ages to update and then load. It is really annoying. My MacBook does it every now and then and it’s very quick. Maybe a few times a year and my windows, the most horrible experience

CRAP! – Microsoft newest windows 10 is lousy! It took me three days to learn how to get into my admin and change it so that the new update would supposedly work. Well it doesn't work! Pinterest keeps dropping out, other programmes don't work, and I can't use my online video-processor any more. Nor can I use the 123Apps online voice recorder anymore.… Read more

Nothing wrong with my microphone, or my settings, it just wont work. Even downloaded a driver update which I had to pay $46.00 for and still no decent response. Bit.tubetv works fine youtube, not so much. Freeses up for no apparent reason, in spite of downloading the driver updates, connected fully to the internet ie wifi, ethernet, etc still drops out when on Pinterest. Problems galore which I'm having trouble fixing. Having to repeat tasks while working on a project often. Really annoying . And even though in settings I've said ask first for various options it goes ahead and does it anyway. Prefer Duck as my search engine but I often have to go into settings and reset to get Duck back again. In short its trash. When looking for files in seagate I often have to go through the same folder several times in spite that I give it the command "all files." And even then the particular meme or photo wont show up, but I definitely know it's in there. This latest changeover is crap. It really is. I cant do or find anything on my computer anymore! My videos and on line voice recorder is most disappointing. It really is no fun any more. In fact I dread going on. You failed big time on this one Microsoft.

Aneurysm inducing. Most outrageous thing Buffalo Bill has unleashed on the world so far – It's been an entire day and I am still only starting to understand how to create a user that has access to literally anything on the computer. I can't even set a picture. I'm assuming I have to register with an email, but also update to the latest... Let me guess Buffalo Bill also doesn't see this as coercive or constraining. Lost It – Windows 10 a terrible system when it could be a fantastic operating system. Microsoft need to remove everything but the OS and a few basic applications. Make it like Linux allow the user to choose what software the user wants to use. Take Linux Mint, very easy to install, uses half of the RAM Windows 10 uses. Everything is organised. All… Read more

very annoying – I personally like to use more than one browser including edge but not any more now that windows 10 is trying to force edge on me by starting edge nearly every time my computer starts or comes out of sleep mode I have tried every way recommended to stop this but everything I have tried doesn’t work. deleted it from my Android device as well. I won’t use edge again. As if I would want edge in my face if im not using the internet and you cant delete edge from windows 10 not on the version I have anyway. It didn’t do it when I bought the pc for some time so I assume it happened with the updates which of course they insist you do. Very irritating when they try and force software within the operating system on you particularly the browser. I want to use a browser of my choice without this edge popup in my face every time my pc comes out of sleep mode. Mindless strategy to irritate the person that has paid the money for the system and just looking around seems im not the only disappointed customer.

Quite frustrating and high maintenence – I have had extreme frustration with this o/s. Windows seems less intuitive and high maintenance. In my opinion, windows 10 could be a lot better, if the updates are performed on the users terms, rather than the operating systems. I have used Linux Mint. It is fantastic. Things just work. Nothing happens without your knowledge, or consent. Back… Read more

to win 10 Windows updates are the problem . Driver updates too. 100's of hours lost time.

I currently have a Gigabyte Aorus 7 When it updated to the latest build I lost ALL of my thumbnails ! This was a global problem on my p.c. From pictures to video, music, pdf the lot. This caused chaos when looking for items.

I already rolled the p.c back to previous build. A month later after another update, the same thing happened.

Do not allow updates automatically if that is even possible. From what I can tell, it appears that updates seem to change certain user settings to default.

Horrid – I normally use Ubuntu but have to use Windows on occasion for proprietary software. Windows 10 is horrible to use. Every time before using there will be a 30m delay while the system completes unwanted updates, spam etc. and tracks data to sell. The system is always sluggish, slowed productivity with crappy animations and often does not work. What a joke. Feel sorry for people who have to use Windows routinely.

Terrible – Printer problems...zero help from windows forums and support....updates keep changing internal settings... Unfortunately, I will now look to move to a MAC....windows have lost me as a fan after decades of being loyal to their products....I have contacted their support and they offer generic solutions and state that the problem is with your printer drivers...which was not correct as they have been updated to the windows 10 compatible drivers.

When you treat your customer base with such disdain, the result will be people voting with their wallets and feet. Product doesn't even deserve 1 Star....Extremely disappointed after using Windows 10 for more than 12 months....enough is enough...

Uninstalled MS Edge and other bloat for the last time – I have uninstalled MS bloatware countless times over the years. Uninstalled MS Edge for the 3rd and final time. stupid invasive forced login just to use my operating system – in the last update microsoft have forced you to log into their microsoft account just to use windows, and then use that to spam you with ads for their services. Slow, Clunky and Infuriating – I bought a brand new PC with Windows 10 installed. In several decades of using computers, this is the worst 'operating' system I have used. I wish they would stop their data mining and focus on their core business of providing an operating system. The saying 'Too clever is stupid ' comes to mind whenever I use Windows 10.

My opinion is that Windows 10 is absolute rubbish and it makes me fantasise about overpaying for a Mac again.

Hopeless – Come home from work to process my paper work and it freezes due to updates , when you turn updates off it loads back up on the next reboot, bogs down in the middle of using it , have to reboot to try to clear it, my PC is only 12 months old no viruses. Slower than W7, open up my PC to find file that did not go to desk top and its say where working on it, because it has to reload all file and takes forever, what a piece of crap to say the least.
