A Friend asked me to pick up a hot chook for him. I went to the bain-marie and grabbed a chook. My wife, picking up another. said "This one looks bigger." She was right - it was really noticeable. I took the two to the produce scales. They were both priced $13, but one chook was 935g, the other was 1.37kg. That's a massive difference if you… Read more
are short-pursed and trying to feed a family. It's also bad business practice. You buy a cold chook, it's priced on weight. Hot chooks should be no different.
People BE CAREFUL when you are buying a hot chook. Make sure you get the best buy.| WOOLIES, get your act together and stop cheating the public.
I dont know how anyone else feels but if you pay for a ccok chuck you would expect for them to at least be bothered enough to ensure it didnt come with feathers, its disgusting and off putting
The chooks are now very small. It's cheaper to buy fresh, cook and actually feed the family. They used to be great, but we no longer buy them. Show details
Selected a cooked Chook @ Woolies 4 a quick dinner option. Thank goodness I chose to pull apart bird to plate up. Inside it was a large undeveloped egg inside an entrail casing. It was BLACK! Approx. 15cm & STANK! Put us right off cooked chooks 4 awhile...
Follow-up · No response from W/worths(less); I was making a cold meats/salads Platter; I will always b checking the cavity prior to eating a cooked Chook...
Dry and stringy WITHOUT A SINGLE DROP OF MOISTURE *blech* Sad to give it one star - but have to to leave review Show details
Whoop that Chick – I bought the Memphis BBQ flavour roast chicken and it was fabulous. Would be great if Woolies did a specialty chicken every week alongside their standard and very average chicken. Sure beats roasting your own chicken and cleaning up the mess. Show details
Very dry - I threw it out – This chicken was very dry - and their others in the past have not been very juicy/tender. I am a person who hates waste so it says something that I could only get through a third of it. I couldn't bring myself to eat any more of it and had to throw it out after a few days.
