Titanium dioxide ingredient – Titanium dioxide, used primarily as a white pigment, it is believed to increase the risk of cancer. Given the potential risks associated with E171, the European Union has decided to ban Titanium dioxide as a food additive from 2022, after it's safety was questioned by EFSA, which considered it could no longer be considered safe.
