DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not go they lied to my husband we went up to the kiosk in surfers wanting to go to Australian outback show the man told us yes no worries we can go tomorrow night just go to the seminar tomorrow and you’ll get ur tickets booked. Before my husband started the seminar they advised him there were tickets left and to commence and they will start processing.. after 2 hours of them pushing and pushing for him to get a loan and giving misleading information and being very rude. When he went to get the tickets they said it’s sold out for a month!! ...When before we started they told us it was available to start! We have a new born baby! We wasted our time and money only for them to say to bad! They were also very angry that we didn’t purchase anything telling us it’s only $38000!! Everyone’s got that it’s worth it!!! It was so rude and no not everyone has that money sitting in their account! I will never ever ever stay at any of they’re hotels or hotel chains! Worst experience ever! Please don’t go they don’t care about anything but making money!!! So in conclusion they lied to us saying the outback show was available when it wasn’t and then pretty much saying to bad!!! Wow! Wasted 2 hours and $40 for nothing! After promising us the show before we commenced and then changing the story lol !! PLEASE DONT GO!!!
Wyndham seminars are a scam with lifelong ramifications
Wyndham seminars are a scam and their practices are misleading, and therefore illegal in Australia under Australian Consumer Law.
I stupidly purchased a Wynham timeshare after attending seminars as a result of being bombarded by their numerous information desks/ticket kiosks in Surfers Paradise in 2017. My experience has been heartbreaking. My timeshare is worthless, I cannot even sell it for $1.
Once you own a timeshare, you cannot forefit it for the rest of your life. This burden will pass to your children. Please do not buy a timeshare.
...Do not buy their cheap theme park tickets. Do not accept their cheap hotel accommodation. Do not incentivise these people by attending their seminars. Just suck it up, pay your tickets full price, and sleep easily, I implore you.
Dishonest and Pushy
We purchased a deal which meant that we would have to attend a seminar at the location we book. I was OK with this, I was told the kids could also attend. When I went to book it they asked a series of questions, income, age etc which lacked relevancy and was a little to personal for my liking. They also informed us the kids would not be able to attend the seminar but could go into a room next to the seminar room - UNATTENDED for 90 minutes. The sales women only cared about securing the deal. When I told her that was not OK she told me I could ...go to QLD instead as their Gold Coast Resort had childcare. Oh shall I just pop in my plane and go there shall I? Laughable. She said she was going to go and listen to the original call where they sold me the deal to see if the sales person had said the children could attend. When she called back, she made no mention of what they had agreed and offered a refund. They had indeed agreed that the kids could attend, I would not have booked it if they couldn't have been with us. When they finally offered a refund she said it would take max 7 days to which I had to follow up 10 days later as it had not arrived. A joke. Don't waste your time people.
$20* a night is a scam - don't be fooled
Its $20 Per night plus intensive, hard-lined sales pitch and interrogation worthy of a criminal investigator, you will also have to part with $30,000 upon signup + $3000 yearly maintenance fee - high interest rates if you don't have the money up front. Don't be fooled.
P.s Wyndham, don't waste your time trying to defend this, the evidence is stacking up against your scam
Unhuman customer service
We have been offered vacation In Ramada Wyndham Resort Dunsborough for $90 for 3 nights in exchange to 90 min presentation. We agree to do that but unfortunately on the day on presentation my husband was unwell in front of sales team and I have to admit him to the hospital. The hospital stuff said that it can be operation involved and they can't tell me when he will be checked out. I informed sales people of the issue and suggest to do presentation on my own as I was waiting for the news from hospital. They refuse to do that as we sighed togeth...er and ask me to pay full price for the room or checked out immediately as they have to give this room to people on waiting. I were 3.5 hours drive from my home, I am not a long distance driver, my husband was in the hospital 45 min drive from that resort and they kick me out... Tell me how humanly that? On the top of that sales people asked me to send certificate from the hospital to approve my 1 night stay on the reduce price!!! Luckily I have my friends staying in the same resort and I checked out and was waiting in their room for result from hospital. Later on the day my husband was released from hospital and doctors suggested not to drive home yet as he was very weak. I came back to reception and asked for my room back and surprisingly I got it back as no-one was there and room was not cleaned but sales staff already left for the day. I promised to attend presentation and we did it on the last day of our stay. I have to admit that presentation was very good but pressure was very strong as well. At the end we said NO as we still have bad taste for the previous treatment. Just wondering what will be happening if I don't have friends staying in the same resort?
Cleaning staff very rude. Said we would get a call back when our room was ready, they did not had been waiting 2 hours for it to be done with no phone call. Movie channel never worked. Rude front desk staff. Pictures are all old and have been updated. 110% would never EVER stay here again.
We stayed at the Ramada Shoal Bay for 7 days in January. We stayed in the Heritage building overlooking the bay The view is amazing but that’s where the positive’s start and finish.
The room was nothing like pictured on the website were the photos showed a bright room with modern furnishings the furniture was very old, brown and tattered.
The air con seemed to barely work during the day and every night there was no cool air coming out of it but was great at making noise, probably needs the filters cleaned. There was only...
Forced sign up and wasted 2 hours of life
To whom it may concern
We went to buy tickets for the sea world 3 days package.
We met [name removed] or [name removed] cant exactly remember full name. She was across the ben & Jerry shop in surfers paradise
We got a deal for 2 tickets for $105.
We asked her that our friends recently got it for 2 for $90. She said all prices have gone up in December. We then got tickets & booked a session to sit with you guys for such a long commitment for Wyndham resorts.
...Next day we went to woolies in that shopping centre where they have 2 for $90. We asked [name removed] there and she said she cant do anything. There was a rude team leader [name removed] there who laughed at us and kept laughing and saying are you guys really going to ask for a refund. We said you guys need to have same prices across the board. They started giving us excuses and started making fun of us. We went upstairs to the shop and there was a guy with british or scottish accent who called his team leader and unfortunately it was the same team leader who made fun of us. He gave a number to call Wyndham We spoke to [name removed] the manager with tattoos. He apologised and said will get back to us. No calls received so far which is ridiculous. You are asking us to commit $63 a week commitment for 10 years and you are not returning calls back with a satisfactory answer? Luckily then we met [name removed] at the markets and you said you are [name removed] boss. You will have a chat to mark and issue him warning. You apologized on his behalf when you didn't do anything wrong. Please explain this ridiculous behaviour from [name removed] and also i would recommend to hide the advertising of$90 tickets. This is completely false deceiving advertising done by the biggest resorts company in the world. This ruined our holidays especially the attitude of that team leader. Customer service is very important these days and instead of winning customers you are losing customer. On the other side, you guys almost forced us to sign a contract/commitment which is pretty bad and i will complain to Asic. Interesting thing is, if first person can not commit you then another lady comes in and goes through a similar deal thing and keep forcing you Stuff that. I will pay full ticket price ject time but not through WYNDHAM SCAM RESORTS Big scamm!!!! Beware
Reading most of the reviews I can relate (experienced) to customers dissatisfaction at one point or another.
It is obvious that the majority of reviews (short & long time) are non complimentary, perhaps for many good reasons.
Getting a response from Customer Service (appivut chakuthip) doesn't seem to abate the ongoing flow of disenchantment from paid up Customers and others. To quote a phrase, 'Where there is smoke there is fire'.
There are many questions that need to be asked about Wyndham and its approach to fulfilling Customers needs and sa...

They suck you in by setting you up in a gorgeous room for free....and then you buy into it! But your points can't even buy you the same room at a decent time (only off season for one night). I wish I had never gotten sucked in. Im stuck paying for this and mean while I still pay for hotels when i go away cos they don't have rooms available because they are selling them on Wotif etc. or theres no resort nearby. Im so sick of there customer service harassing me when they can't offer me anything!
Im suffering now cos no one will buy my shar...es and not only that but they also charge you a yearly fee. Biggest scam ever....!! The one time I used my points to book two nights on my birthday recently they couldn't event find my booking....thats the owner treatment at wyndham!! make them feel like they aren't welcome....even though I paid $16,000 for these useless points. And after I checked in some sales person called my room trying to promote stuff and next minute she was at my door.... Seriously I don't want to be harassed on holiday. They should be banned in Australia. They are thieves. Im stuck in a contract and I know I will never get my moneys worth.....Dont do it.
Even the president cant be trusted
I joined this club and paid a deposit and then nothing
I ended up Emailing the Vice President of Human Resources who along with the executive assistant to the president of Wyndham vacations
But more lies and deceit
Do not trust this company they cant
handle a sale call a member or cancel a cancelation
So to Bruce Harkness and the staff at Wyndham surfers paradise and Renee in customer care thanks for nothing
I strongly advise everyone to keep away from singing up to anything with this club
Wyndham resorts plan Scam
Don't waste your money on this fraud company . I have lost my hard earn with this iditots. In 2 years discovery Wyndham plan I have tried to book more 10 times. But I never ever got booking on my desired dates and locations. They always force me to go for holidays on weekdays or their empty resorts. Means you have to plan according to them not by your choice. Please Please be aware of this company.
Question. Which need to be asked
Beware, beware, if you attend a sales presentation there are some questions you need to ask
1 will the value I pay per point be recoverable if I decide to end my membership
2 How do I terminate my membership if I find it necessary in the future
3. The current cost per point is $3+ what is the current value if I seek to sell same
4. Will Wyndham assist me to terminate my membership and sell my ownership
5 I understand that annual levy has increased from $450+ to $1100 + over the last 10 years, what is the projected annual increases of the annu...
Scam Scam Scam
Buyer beware! I am a financial analyst whose parents nearly got sucked into this deathtrap. My advice:
1) Carefully examine their contract which is carefully written in their favour. Just one example at the very beginning: "This contract is not regulated by the National Consumer Protection Act 2009 (Cth)". If you don't know the consequences, seek independent legal and financial advice.
2) Read every review on this site and others. It is disheartening that many of these practises remain legal in Australia. More reviews of the similar US version ...
We had to sit through a 2 hr presentation when we visited the Port Douglas property. The deal looked good, but read the fine print! They do try really really hard to sell the program presenting this "ownership" structure, we almost said 'yes' because they were so very good at selling this. 1) We asked ourselves if we can really plan well ahead (read months and months ahead!) for a holiday. Because that's how the availability looked when they showed us an actual demo of their online portal! They showed us many properties online and everything w...as booked solid for 8 months since Sep 2019! Most of the short 3-4 days trips also need to be planned well ahead because you won't get anything during school holidays, long weekends etc. 2) expensive buy-in right at the start , it's not a small investment 3) they seem to have a good base of resorts and tie ups with other resorts around the world, but they're not everywhere, you have to plan your holiday based on where there is a resort (cause let's face it, you're chained to Windham once you spend so much), and based on the availability at the time you need 4) they showed us the difference in hotel room quality between where we were staying and an owner's room, it was a 2 bedroom suite for a lower price. But the room itself didn't look all that different to ours. 5) we were told that the offer was valid for that meeting room only and that we couldn't go back to our room to discuss creating undue pressure to say 'yes', but we still went to reception lobby to discuss everything. 6) their attitude changed significantly when we said 'no' to buy this, passing snide remarks about our financial capabilities, referring to us as the "cheap deal customers" amongst each other (well we didn't beg for this! We were given this deal cause we stayed at one of their other hotels, only condition was to attend the presentation!) Hope this helps.
Wish we would have never signed for this crap
Firstly this is totally scam and when you signed up they are like one friendly bunch of people and slowly they changed their color. We have been with Wyndham for couple of years but now whenever I wanted to book a holiday they have always one answer they are fully booked.
Infact I have been said they are fully booked for the fourth time and sadly they dont even let me cancel the membership and they are like you need to book holiday before 13 months. Well I am young mum and I cannot decide anything in advance until my babies are till bit old.
I strongly advise everyone not to sign for Wyndham rather others website are more cheap and helpful than this. Well we landed in big trap others I strongly request not to. Very very disappointing
