Yamaha HTR2071

Won't work because of HDCP2.2 – Be wary of this product, it doesn't work with TV's not supporting HDCP2.2. I purchased this product to simply replace an old Pioneer receiver that kept turning itself off all the time. It turns out this won't work with my TV because it doesn't have HDCP2.2, meaning the receiver is no use at all. It is not reasonable to expect a customer to upgrade their TV just so they can use a receiver.

Bought at Christmas time and threw away the box with all the other wrapping and boxes so I suspect sending it back won't be an option or will cost me $$$$.

If I could give zero stars I would but it only goes down to one.

I'm so disappointed with this product.

Foxtel compatability – Turned on the Foxtel ARC communications and that seems to cause multiple problems with the amplifier. No sound from the unit when connected to the new OLED TV being the major issue. I have turned off the comms settings in Foxtel and factory reset the amp and this has worked for a day and then no sound from the amp when connected to free to air TV. Did a factory reset on the amp and all's well again for the moment. The Amp has plenty of options to fine tune every imaginable variable.

Excellent – Until now I was deaf , the old amplifier was terrible , I had no idea sound could be so clear . Love this amplifier Easy to use and understand
