Yamaha RX-A6A

I've had a number of these Aventage series amps and all have been great amps for theatre. The Aventage series is excellent. The RX-2020 I bought 12 years ago was struck by a lightning surge which took out the HDMI board. However the amp still works as a preamp to another amp I have. and only upgraded it because of the need to support 4K video. The marantz I chose to replace this didn't last very long before blowing its power supply, which has been fixed but not before I replaced it with the RX-A6A. This new amp is excellent, I can't fault it. The sound is fantastic and the features are great although I'm sure I don't use enough of them. Yamaha Aventage series have proven to be excellent quality with great sound performance and very reliable. I do recommend them, but listen to one first as everyone has different preferences when it comes to sound quality.
