dust bags and protective coverings. Despite this, YSL refused a refund and would only offer store credit. Throughout the process, the tone was very much about placing blame on the customer, rather than acknowledging the obvious issue with the product itself.

For a luxury brand, I expect high quality materials, proper quality control, and fair consumer treatment. The quality of the leather used has clearly declined, and being blamed for marks on an unused item is unacceptable. This experience has significantly reduced my confidence in the brand.

I placed my order over two weeks ago and was told it will be at least another 3-5 business days to even ship. When I asked to cancel the order, they said no, but they will send me tracking information when it does ship and at that time I can return it at my own expense. Terrible customer service.

Honestly you may as well get a dupe as the quality is not there. After spending almost 4K on a bag I have worn it 5 times in the year and keep it in the cloth in the box. The gold hardware is already looking tarnished… I emailed them, back and forth for 5 emails and no they aren’t responding. How terrible is that!

Bad Product _ SATIN bag – I do not recommend any YSL bags as it has very bad quality. They definitely don't have quality checks before bringing it out to sell and when you go in for exchange they just rubbish you with words. Invest your money well.

Fast shipping – I ordered from the Private Sale last week 29/11/2021 and order arrived today 7/12/2021 (a day earlier). It was packaged well. Absolutely love my Saint Laurent leather tote bag – My Saint Laurent bag arrived stunningly packaged and well cushioned in the box for safe transportation. The bag itself is out of this world.....It's stunning. Beautifully made, smells devine, the leather is of superb quality. Fantastic products and service! – I ordered 3 items seperately : cardholder, belt and shoes, they arrived efficiently and all together which was a lovely surprise. The products are perfect, belts fits perfectly and the shoes as well! These were my first online purchase with YSL and I am very happy. I usually go into the store but we are in lockdown. UPS and StarTrack were all very helpful in regards to tracking my items. It took just under 2 weeks to be delivered to Australia :) Show reply

Happy with online purchase – I bought a YSL clutch online and panicked afterwards when I read all the bad reviews. My bag was sent from Italy to Hong Kong to Sydney so it did take a week and a half but everything was perfect when it arrived. The bag was beautifully packed and I didn’t get charged anything extra on my card. Very happy and relieved!

The fact of the matter is they took way too long to reply and missed their opportunity to do anything so rather than apologise (which I would have understood) they have lied on top of lies. Really disappointing when this is a global brand it doesn’t give you much confidence that if something were really wrong they would care to do anything at all accept put it back on the customer and lie!!!!

Appalling customer service and refusal to replace a chipped, engraved perfume bottle. the leather is peeling off on all of the edges.

We have made multiple complaints and YSL has refused to offer a refund. This is an inexcusable quality and service issue that I would never expect from a $50 bag, let alone a bag that costs a small fortune ($2000 AUD). I will never go near another Saint Laurent product ever again. So incredibly disappointed.

Worst customer service – Their customer service is so poor. There is a lady name pronounce like Ras, she was so rude on the phone. Even though they are working in professional fashion store but the way they communicate with customer like in the unprofessional retailer market. Totally not happy with their service.

The worst quality – I have been gifted a YSL bag and YSL bracelet as Valentine’s gift. The leather in each corner of the bag started peeling off and the bracelet snapped both happen within less than few months . Tried to go back so many times but unfortunately they have refused to take back their product and either repair or exchange them . Never recommend YSL , poor customer service and care.

had visible damage – scratches, blemishes and discolouration on the leather. Not only could they not provide an undamaged new bag, but every time they tried to push us to take the damaged ones and they refused to refund the money until after the third damaged bag. When they did finally offer a refund, the manager treated us like absolute dirt, with anger and with personal insults. Disgraceful behaviour, on top of trying to push damaged bags. YSL head office clearly don’t care about any of this either – they told us they will consider their policy around wearing gloves to handle the bags, and that’s all. Avoid YSL unless you appreciate angry, personal insults from staff trying to push sales of damaged products.

wanted a new one. They took full payment and said they would order a new one.

A week later they called to say it had arrived. I was excited to pick up the bag but, when I saw it, it had a visible scratch. They tried to make me accept it but I requested a new undamaged bag.

Another week later, another bag arrived in the store. The staff member dumped it on the table and handled it with sweaty hands. When I took the bag to check it, she grabbed it aggressively and pulled open the bag with her fingernails. When I checked the bag, it was also visibly scratched. She tried to convince me this was normal with a hand-made bag, but I have several hand-made bags and they do not have visible scratches in the leather. I requested a refund but she refused. Eventually another staff member agreed they will provide an undamaged bag soon.

After another 2 weeks, another bag arrived. I went to pick it up and the manager of the store came out with the bag. When I checked it, I was really disappointed to find a visible dirty spot on the inside of the bag. The manager used her finger to try to rub it off, which only made it worse. The manager then got angry and started being rude and sarcastic. She said would issue a refund because obviously the brand was not up to our standards. She even said that my partner and I probably don’t buy luxury products often. She made it clear we were not welcome in the store.

I was shocked with this treatment. My partner and I were polite at every point and we just wanted a new bag without any visible damage. The store could not provide this and they treated us extremely unprofessionally and rudely.

When we contacted the YSL head office about this, they basically didn’t care. They gave us a half-hearted apology for how we had been treated and for the bag quality issues. They said that after investigating the incident, they will consider using gloves to handle the bags. Clearly they do not intend to change anything. Please save yourself a horrible experience and do not shop at YSL.

The store was extremely persistent that I get a repair even though I mentioned I wasn’t comfortable with this and wanted a replacement They ensured that there repairers were very trustworthy . My bag had to go back to repairs twice and the bag isn’t fixed and now I have even more loose stitches. Ysl sent the photos to their headquarters in Italy and they concluded it is wear and tear . I can’t seem to comprehend how stitches coming undone is wear and tear . On top of all this I got blamed for this by the assistant store manager at the Collins st store (Melbourne ) for over filling the bag , I thought how can you assume that without seeing how I use the bag . Plus I don’t carry bricks around in my bag . It’s only used for carrying my phone , keys and wallet . They are refusing to replace my bag . My last resort was creating a case with VCAT . They absolutely didn’t care about this and still refused to comply with me .

I am waiting to hear back from VCAT. However a few people told me I won’t have any luck with them.

Save and spend your money on other designer brands who’s quality of bags and customer service is premium. But please stay away from YSL

YSL promised to send a replacement at Late June and i was patiently waiting over a month. I contacted them weekly given I haven't received the tracking number and I didn't want the replacement to be misplaced again. Late July, I was advised all products from the second order was out of stock (after 4 weeks!) ! thank you for letting me know after promised the replacement will be sent within a week every time I contacted them ! OK! and they told me they will refund the order.. the next week beginning Aug I only received $26.5 of refund ! Are you serious!? I ordered $135 worth of makeup and I didn't realize it till i checked my bank transaction today. What a joke..

Can't handle a order properly and can't check their stock level properly and can't even read the refund amount properly?

Poor delivery – YSL delivered my purchase to a wrong address and wouldn't admit fault. When I called them, their client service was unhelpful and provided no assurance that they were going to try and retrieve my purchase. When I ask them for a solution, they kept saying that there is no guarantee. It's a shame no one wants to take responsibility. It's not worth it.
