Very poor customer and after sales service
Purchased YSL Niki handbag in Jun 19. Dec 19 has bad wearing issues on leather and paint wearing off chain and ysl logo. Very poor quality for expensive handbag. They only solution was to send handbag to Italy for review (they claim to have never seen this before but this seems to contradict the reviews I am reading online). Sending the bag to Italy for review could take up to 3 months. This is unacceptable but they have refused any other options. I have now submitted a formal complaint to NSW Fair Trading
lack customer service for online orders
I placed an order for a special lipstick set during this year's Black Friday sales. Usually with their online orders, they will ship within 3 to 5 business days. I waited for two weeks but the status of the order remained being processed, so I emailed customer service. No reply was received so I sent through an online Enquiry on the website. No contact. I tried emailing another two times (on different days). Finally after 4 emails, I received an email saying my request was being investigated and they will contact me. After waiting several days,...I decided to contact them again and I was told the set is now out of stock and they will refund me the money. I told them that the set was for a friend who was going overseas during the Xmas period and now I have to rush to get her a gift. Plus Ive lost out on the discount I received on Black Friday which is not on offer all the time. No one cared. I am also disappointed about the fact that they sold stock which they obviously didnt have. Really really disappointed experience.
Extremely disappointing online service. No product!
I pre purchased a pair of boots from SL in early March 2019. Due to be dispatched 30/3/19. No sign of boots nearly one month later after multiple calls and emails. SL continued to state someone would get back to me. After yet another phone call to customer service I was told my call could not be escalated but "someone" would call me back within the hour. Five hours later and yet another terse email I was told my size had sold out despite being available when ordered. My guess is that they were given to another customer! DO NOT trust this website and boycott this brand. They hand ball queries and give no response. Very bad service for a luxury brand and extremely disappointing all round. I have had much better service from Zara.
Do not trust their system
Made a purchase on yslbeauty.com.au
Got an email saying order has been shipped. But on closer inspection, it actually says: will be dispatched. So no, it has not been shipped! Then no follow email after that, no email from whichever delivery company they used either. No tracking number of anything. Checked online order still says is processing. Three weeks after the "has been shipped" email still no delivery. Contact support. No reply. Contact again, nothing.
So I assume maybe it was stolen. But decided against it and called support. Was told ...they'll get back to me. Finally they did and said they can't track it as the order is too old... I explained the situation saying I didn't hear anything from the delivery company, they never provided me the tracking number. So where is the proof that they sent it? Once again was told, order is too old they can't track and should have got in raised it sooner. Well, I did. Why are you not mentioning that? Support is a joke!
I bought a bag 2 months ago after it needed to be replaced once before because the stitching was buckled and now the strap on the bag is wearing and the Chadstone store manager told me it was normal. No it’s not normal for a bag that cost $1,385 to have significant wear on the strap after 2 months.
I’m so disappointed and I will be taking this further.
Don’t buy YSL rubbish!
Absolutely horrible service. In-store and online
My First and Last purchase from YSL - EVER!
The people who work for the call center, have no knowledge about YSL merchandise. LV and Chanel, have better customer service call center's then YSL. And they're actually based in Australia. Unlike YSL. Actually willing to help you, and to make it easier. I wanted to speak to a manager.
But apparently, you don't have one of those.
I got treated so rudely in one of your Stores. Came in to buy a gift for someone, just got a snobby/judgy rude 2 SA's. On top of that' YSL calls themselves a high-...end fashion label. Yeah right!! What type of High-end Fashion label runs out of bags/boxes?. Chanel and LV - Would never allow this to happen. One of the ladies who served me, states in the email. She's a director. But yet, she got the 2 different leather of the 2 bags. confused. Seriously needs to get your knowledge up to order. She called the smooth leather - calfskin when it's lambskin.
They are not in Australia, they charge you in Hong Kong dollars not AUD, resulting in foreign fees!
I ordered a $3k item online via their 'Australian' website, paid via papal - then discovered I was charged a foreign fee by my bank ($96.00).
Bank states that I was charged the foreign fee because YSL charged my account in Hong Kong dollars and not in Australian dollars. Their website states that they are YSL AUSTRALIA and states that they charge in Australian dollars, and they don't.
Very very misleading - there is no information on their website about being charged in Hong Kong dollars at all. It actually states that you will be charge...d in Australian dollars. And you can't do anything about this either, as this stuff on websites is not regulated. Good luck trying to get your 'fee' back. 3 days after I pay and get charged the additional foreign fee, I get an email to state that they refunded my PayPal account as the item is not in stock - so they didn't even bother to send me an email, it was PayPal that sent me the email to advise me of the refund. They still have the item up on their website!

Gold emblem Logo faded
Bought a bag from YSL Chadstone store Australia and the emblem logo faded after a few used. Took the bag back to the store and the store manager said it’s normal for the logo to fade but never had the same issue with other brands before. What a disappointment. Goodbye YSL. Cheap product!

Do not use Australia’s online store YSL
I ordered several products I love using from YSL online store for the first time. 3 weeks later my products had not arrived. I wrote 4 emails to YSL online store to ask location of my products no reply despite my card being charged and then claiming they will reply within 48 hours.
I called American YSL who provided me with YSL Australia number as this is not easily found. The online store helpline apologised but regardless they were unsure of where my products are kept needing to contact ‘the warehouse’ which sometimes replied sometimes di...dn’t to them. The manager finally contacted ‘the warehouse’ who sent the products eventually more than a month after the initial order. When the products arrived half of the items were missing no receipt included. I am waiting for a refund or the other products to come in. Unprofesional, disorganised service. I have enjoyed using YSL products in the past their lack of contact and unprofessional service and the stress I gave experienced and still experiencing means I will no longer be using their products...and the fact that it appears they simply don’t care about their customers. I feel I have a duty to strongly recommend that you do not order from their YSL online store. I am a frequent online shopper and I have NEVER experienced anything even remotely like this.
YSL Rouge Pur Couture #1 - Simply gorgeous red lipstick
This is the first lipstick I actually use up. It's a very pigmented classic red, not too warm or too cool, right in the middle and able to flatter any skin tone. Creamy texture, long-lasting, lovely scent plus SPF 15 and luxury golden package. Also, it can be used in any occasion depending on how you apply it.
I love it right at the first time I tried it on. It just simply lights up my face in a second. It truly flatters my south east asian medium skin tone. I use it almost everyday: bold red lips for a Friday night out, lighter layer for a s...
YSL The black eyeliner
This is by far the best eyeliner on the market. It lasts for ages - does not dry out and does not need reapplications. It glides on very well and seriously when I draw my eyeliner on with this pen it seems to have a better shape! Must be the applicator. The black is a really deep black - it's not watery at all. I love!
I love the YSL touché éclat I find it works really well at concealing the black bags under my eyes and also helps to illuminate your face and reflect the light too. Even though the product is expensive you do only need a small amount at a time. It is worth the money and really is a high quality product that once you try you will never go back to your old brands.
really good product that does the job it says on the packet.
Expensive costs quite a lot of money for only a small amount also its in a pen form so you can over pump more than you actually need.
I love YSL cosmetics. The mascaras are excellent, especially the false eyelash effect one, which lenghthens really well - it is also easy to wash off at the end of the day. The eyeliners are also fantastic. However I was disappointed with the skincare range.
The french manicure set was a huge disappointment to me, which was strange as I really like the consistency and colours for the normal nail enamels. It was just awful. The pen (white part) was streaky, uneven and just looked terrible which made the whole manicure look bad. I definately would not recommend that particular product.
The skincare & french manicure set
One of my favourite make-up brands. I love their lipsticks as they are very smooth, pigmented and offers great colours. No 1 (pink) lipstick in the rouge voloupte is one of my favourite all time pink lipsticks. The blushes are very gorgeous in colour and also compliments the skin great, giving a great glow to the cheeks. YSL offers one of the best masaras which is the false eyelash masara which does give my eyelashes a false lash which does not look like drag queen lashes.
Excellent packaging. Great colours
Eyeshadows are can be slightly hard to blend and the shimmer eyeshadows are not flattering. The foundations are slightly too strong in fragance which can cause an allergy to my nose.
Overall a great make-up line, R.I.P Yves Saint Laurent, you were well admired among the fashion industry. I'd also say that they make well textured creamy and moisturising lipsticks that are well worth their price.
Sleek packagings, Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks, the number of looks you can recreate from their range.
Unfortunately since this is a brand name, the make-up can tend to be unbelievably expensive, but at least you know the quality will live up to what you paid for. The make up counters/stores can also be intimidating when you are walking in, i'd find it appreciative if the assistants were more open and friendly.
