VTRANS - BEWARE - DONT USE THIS COMPANY VEHICLE TRANSPORT QLD TO WA – Very quick to take money. My car turned up .... eventually (must commend Rebecca in WA for her help) Anyone else avoided contact. Drop off depot was a dump and the people lost my key, asked me if I dropped it off with the key! VTRANS told me the vehicle was leaving the weekend I dropped it off, didn't leave QLD for nearly 2 weeks. I Sat in… Read more

VIC for another 4 weeks out in a paddock in God knows where. Thanks to Rebecca i did receive my vehicle and she took it upon herself to help me out. My vehicle was dropped off with over 1/2 tank of fuel. EMPTY when it arrived. Stunk of cigarettes, (I don't smoke) Cigarette ash all over the back floor. Boot area covered in dirt. I had the vehicle detailed before I dropped it off. Brand new windscreen has a stone chip. I have no idea where the vehicle was taken, driven, abused but at least I got it back with minimal damage and cost. FEEL very sorry for anyone else who doesn't realise what this company is about. 3 trucks broke down, another truck drove into a tree... apparently. Alot of excuses. Very unprofessional business. BEWARE

Delivered my vehicle on time even during pandemic and Christmas time – Just to say I used v trans which was from Perth to Melbourne door to door. as seeing they were the cheapest, now as I payed I rushed into it and then 1 hour later I thought that I would just check on this company and don’t know why I even did, after reading 1 star reviews I was in a bit of a scare, but what the hey I’ve payed let’s see what… Read more

happens since my car has full comp insurance, after scrolling down and reading all the horror stories I was like umm ok my car will arrive 3 months later. So my experience with this company did start off a bit rocky as they don’t answer calls much and that’s when I started to panic then the car did take them 1 week to pick up now during this time I answered maybe 2 times to tell me what the go is and yes in their terms and conditions it does state it may vary on times I was scared at this time, but the following weeek they did pick the car up and I was like umm ok let’s see how long the car takes and if it comes damaged, surprisingly o. Christmas Eve I got a call in the morning by a really nice truck driver telling my my car is delivered to the address as it was door to door, I went there to inspect and the car was in the same condition as it left with everything in the car belonging so as they did state when the car is picked up takes 5 working days as it did which I was rapt with so for me they were pretty good I’m sorry to hear all the other horror stories from everyone else the reason I didn’t give it a 5 star and gave it a 4 was because the delayed pick up

No complaints – I had an old Xjs Jag delivered from Yarra Glen Victoria to Toowoomba Queensland. It took about 10days which I thought was reasonable and car arrived without a scratch. I didn’t have a problem with communication and Scott the driver was a careful and friendly fella. I read a few dodgy reviews which had me concerned but I can’t fault them

DO NOT USE THIS LOW LIFE SERVICE!!! – I’m not usually a ‘Karen’ and one to write a review however the ‘service’ VTrans provided was nothing short of a money grab for them and a wild goose chase for me! As was my experience, ‘[Name Removed]’ if that’s even her name.. was easy going, helpful in the lead up to payments, surely enough once the funds were paid, the communication ceased… Read more

instantly!

I paid $1,880 (Bank transfer) for vehicle transfer from SYD - WA. With a 2 week arrival guarantee.

On week 2, I made multiple phone calls/ sent emails to ‘[Name Removed]’ requesting updates. [Name Removed] informed me the car was going to be 1 week late due to vehicle still being in transit with a quarantine period upon arrival at the Mundaring depot (WA).

She lied.. No attempts of contact/ updated info or replies to my emails.

On week 3, [Name Removed] informed me the car was in fact sitting in a Melbourne depot AND NOT actively in transit to WA as SHE previously stated.

She lied! Again.. But there’s more..

On week 4, [Name Removed] claimed the car was at the boarder in Eucla (South Aus) waiting for paperwork to cross into WA which can take a few days (more lies, it takes 10 minutes) She informed me updates will follow in the ensuing days, THEY NEVER DID.

Just more lies from [Name Removed].

By this time, I had threatened to escalate the matter to police. The run arounds and the constant lying were too stressful.

I ended up contacting the Department of Industries and Regional Development ‘Importing department’. Who were VERY helpful and did a lot of the chasing and enquiring about my vehicle. Thats when a man called [Name Removed] decided to get in contact once I advised them that a police report is going to be filled and I am building a case with consumer affairs

On week 6, when the car finally arrived. It was filthy appears to be driven all through mud, water and sand stuck in the exhaust.

The computer in the computer appears to have been tampered with. Who knows what they could have done there. No explanation will be provided

Upon becoming suspicious about the constant lies, I did some digging and found similar negative reviews to my experience!

‘VTrans’ has also traded under various names. They DO NOT have a head office which they claim to have in Melbourne. Only contactable via mobile phone, no land line.

DO NOT USE VTRANS- Absolute Liars – When we dropped off our car I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. And it turns out I should have listened to my gut. the next day or two. Or even worse tell you your car is in transit when in fact it is still sitting at the depot. We were lucky enough that we had family that could go past to check if our car was still sitting there. And this happened on multiple occasions. Then once our car was finally loaded, it sat out the front on that truck for days. Being told again our car had left. When we called out the manager there were just more excuses. After saying we were going to get our car collected we finally started receiving some communication from the ‘VIP’ manager who was probably the only person from this company who had any concern about our situation. But He promised things that were still not delivered. Finally upon delivery, which was late at night, our car battery was dead flat so it had to be jump started on the truck. Upon inspection there was damage to our vehicle. This company has investigations with QLD fare trade currently with a warning not to use them. If only we had looked at reviews first we would have known better. In all it took 8 weeks to get our car. This was not the time frame given upon booking. And because this was not our final destination it cost us thousands in accommodation whilst waiting to receive our car to move on. Not to mention the exorbitant price they charged us for transport in the first place! All staff were consistently rude and dismissive liars. Dealing with this company has been an absolute stressful nightmare and I hope this warns at least one person so they don’t have to go through this absolute shit show! Just do yourself a favour and go with CEVA for your car transport needs. Also install a GPS tracker if you ever get a car transported

Do Not Use This Company!!! They Don't Even Deserve The 1 Star.... Shut Them Down – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Lies upon lies upon lies..... weeks including delays) The truck driver said "It left our Melbourne depot about 3-4 days ago. When I called to confront them as to why my vehicle had only left 4 days ago when I had an email and photo evidence saying it had left 24 days prior. When I confronted the the company they THREATENED to have my vehicle HELD IN QUARENTINE for and extra week at MY expense. This conversation and these threats were recorded and I have evidence of them doing this. As well as emails and their entire trail of lies. Do not use this company they are frauds and need to be shut down. There is little structure to this review as a reflection of my anger towards this company. There is one secretary. Her name is '[Name Removed]' She pretends to be around 4 different people and will pick up the phone putting on a different voice, I believe her real name is [Name Removed]. Beware - DO NOT USE - took my money and refused refund after not delivering – I booked this service to move my car from Perth to Sydney January 2021. I had to pay $1550 on 29/12/20 to secure spot on 15/1/21 and then as the day approached, and on the day, no communication came, which was incredibly frustrating as I coordinated moving house and leaving Perth. I called multiple times and they took my details, I left messages,… Read more

but no communication from the Perth depot they subcontracted to, and no one got back to me from vtrans after the date had come and gone. I spent my last day in Perth waiting for them with no response, eventually leaving my car at a friends house and rearranging to deliver all the belongings I'd packed in it. I then found out about this website and all the complaints, and authorities publishing warnings about them. I found them incredibly unhelpful, only getting in touch with me after I'd left for Sydney and been forced to make other arrangements. I got a call from the Perth depot who said Vtrans had never sent through the job to them do they were unaware. Vtrans blamed the Perth depot, and the manager then offered to get my car transported in a suspiciously short amount of time, but I'd already left. When trying to get a refund, I saw the document they sent me didnt have an 'invoice number' but a 'submission number' whatever that means. What is frustrating is that they seem to set up their business without much intent of providing the service, and relying on terms and conditions. They should be shut down.

Vtrans - my car is missing – I booked my car in with Vtrans 19 days ago to go from Sydney to Perth. Vtrans will not provide me with any information about my car or send me any photos to show it is safe. After 19 days I have been told many different stories as to why my car has not yet left Sydney. I’ve asked for proof my cad is ok and I keep getting told they will supply photos the next day. I am extremely worried about my car.

Do not use VTRANS!!!!!!!! – I booked to have my sons V8 SS Commodore Ute to be transported from Townsville to Perth on 5 February 2021. I spoke to a gentleman and was quoted $1560, I explained that the ute was lowered. He then told me that the vehicle would need specialist equipment to get the car on and off the truck. He said it would be an extra $400. He then told me the… Read more

price would be $1990. I was told that it would take 2 weeks. I was told there was a truck leaving the next week and there were only 2 spots left. I made a huge MISTAKE and did not read the REVIEWS before booking with them. I went to work and when I got home the email was waiting with the invoice. I was unable to open the invoice so I phoned the lady and said I wanted to pay for the booking. The time was 2.25PM Perth time. I was told if I paid now the lady in the office would stay behind to receive my payment. I transferred $1990 into their account. I rang to check they had received my email with proof of the funds transfer. I was then told that I had not paid the GST. I told her that I was quoted $1990. She said ok. I then received an email about 1 minute later stating I needed to pay the GST? I then transferred an extra $199. So a total of $2189. As my son lives in a cul- de- sac the truck driver said he would meet my son at an agreed spot. The truck driver sounded very nice and he told me how careful he is when transporting the vehicles. My son drove the vehicle on to the back of the truck on the evening of 10 February 2021. On the 10 March 2021 I emailed to see where the vehicle was. I did not receive a reply. I also phoned the Melbourne office to see where the vehicle was. I was told the vehicle was in Melbourne when I stated that I was told it would take 2 weeks the lady turned nasty. She snapped back with a heap of excuses. On 6 April my son received a phone call from a mobile number ( possibly truck driver ??? ) he was told the vehicle was in Perth and ready to be collected. Unfortunately my husband and I were away for Easter. On 11 May 2021 I rang the mobile number and left a message. I received no call back so I called again. I then rang the Melbourne office. I was given another number. Still no reply. It was then that I started to get worried and I then read the reviews. I contacted Consumer Affairs and asked what could I do. I eventually got someone to answer the phone. The lady got very defensive. I asked for the number for the Perth depot. I rang the number and left a message. I rang the lady back and said that I wanted the car as it was collected on 10 February 2021 When I mentioned the reviews on line she stated that they were not true and that they were from overseas. I then made the mistake of saying I had contacted Consumer Affairs. Well this was like throwing petrol in the fire. She said that she was not going to release the car until they heard from CA. She then started swearing at me and then hung up on me. For the next 2 weeks we could not get anyone to answer our calls. On Wednesday 5 May 2021. We drove 68km to check the premises out. Our hearts sunk. It was not a depot. So I went to my local police station and reported the car as stolen. I was then told that there is an investigation happening and to contact Qld office of fair trading. I rang them on 6 May 2021 and lodged a complaint online. On 7 May 2021 I called the Melbourne office and said in a happy voice I was wanting to collect my vehicle from the Perth depot. I was told they were there today and given [Name Removed] number. I called he didn’t answer. My husband called on his mobile and [Name Removed] answered. When he mentioned we wanted to collect the vehicle my husband received a whole heap of expletives. My husband explained that the vehicle had been in Perth since 6 April 2021. The driver then apologised several times. He stated that his son was at the depot. We drove straight there to collect the vehicle. The vehicle was extremely dirty. It was not until we got it home that we noticed that it was damaged. There is a dent in the roof and also some of the plastic is broken. The passengers wing mirror is damaged and the glass is broken and some paint is off at the side of the tray. So all up 11 weeks to get the vehicle. Do yourselves a favour do not use this company. They are very unprofessional and have caused so much STRESS to myself and my husband.

Worst Company. Should be shut down ASAP – We got stuck in the Gold Coast because of the lockdown in January with 2 cars that needed to get to Melbourne. then turned very nasty. - At day 10 no sign of the cars. I called and was told they were still sitting in the holding yard - At day 15 I called again to be told one car had been involved in an accident on the back of the truck. No one notified me of this accident. I found pictures and the news article online after researching the accident. Our second car was in Townsville (wrong direction to Melbourne) -Contacted Woolongong Police to chase up accident. Cars and truck were taken to a holding yard where the bill was not paid by VTRANS. We could not access our vehicle until it was paid. We had no rights to our own vehicle because it was on the back of VRANS truck. Police and Victorian Consumer Affairs became involved. This company is so corrupt they didn't care. Second car ended up in Cairns - The second car finally turned up at day 35 luckily not damaged. I called and emailed VTRANS up to 10 times a day chasing our vehicles. - Car in the accident turned up at day 40 damaged. They have taken no responsibility for anything. We were left to go through insurance. - Checked dashcam footage - those criminals used our car to jump start 4 other cars and I have it all on footage. This is not written anywhere in their terms and conditons.

I was very surprised both cars arrived with nothing taken out of them. That is the only positive out of a horrible and stressful month.

They need to be shut down. They are all uneducated criminals that should be in jail.

MV Transporters - Criminals still in business – This is a warning to anyone considering saving money by using MV Transporters or what ever business name they are operating under when you read this. communication was prompted by me. Not once was I notified of the delays. [Name Removed] the phone operator is so nice and personable I trusted her and did not get anything in writing. Big mistake. They get your car there whenever they have a full load. NOT 14 working days like they say on the phone. I called the police to report it stolen. Things turned nasty with [Name Removed] and my car arrived with the numberplate broken. 2 weeks after I got it “an unusual stress fracture” appeared on the windscreen not caused by a rock but pressure. I also incurred a $300 cleaning fee at quarantine because I was not specifically told that I was to clean underneath my car. “Clean your car” is a pretty general statement. Oh I forgot I also had to pay for a hire car during the delay. These people should not be in business and any money you think you’ll save is likely to come out in others ways due to their lack of care for customers.

MV Transporters - very risky, caveat emptor, but got the job done – This is a review of MVTransporters.com.au I was so rushed in my last days at my previous job that I just contacted whatever company turned up on google to transport my car from Adelaide to Perth. A company I had previously used and was impressed with quoted me $1800 (double the price they charged when I used them from Perth to Adelaide), whilst… Read more

MV Transporters quoted me $1200 and said it could be done in 7-10 days. So I went with them and didn't check any online reviews as I was so short on time. I wish I had though.

I would characterise the 6 wks it took to deliver my car as stressful and time consuming. The first inkling I got that something was awry was on the day of the dropoff. I had to call them on the day to get the specific drop off location (it wasn't on the invoice or website). I had to drop my car off in Adelaide at another business (an unrelated, legitimate roof manufacturing business, Louvre house) which MV transporters pays to accept the car and park it there until they pick it up. Then because MVT didn't have their own company representative, there was noone to check/ agree upon the condition of the car. And then I had to request an email receipt be sent to me as some sort of written proof that they now had possession of my car.

After 2 weeks when there was no communication about when my car was arriving, and noone picking up the customer service mobile phone, I finally did my research and found this forum and this website (https://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/announcements/transport-companys-service-so-bad-it-warrants-consumer-warning-aaa-transporters) and then became pretty worried.

The receptionist girl at the other business (Louvre house) remembered me and informed me that my car was still in their carpark. MVT's 'customer service' mobile usually rang out but 10% of the time they would pick up and I would get some semblance of information from them. They explained that due to the bushfires and road closures, their trucks which were coming out of Melbourne were running late. I would email and call them every 2 days, and then it just became part of my routine. They would promise to follow my queries up and send me emails or texts, but they did this only once out of approximately ten instances.

Finally about 4 weeks in I found out from the receptionist girl at Louvre house that my car had been picked up. When I was finally able to get through to MV transporters they also informed me that they had transferred my car to their SA depot, but couldn't tell me the exact address of this which made me a little worried. Then after daily phone calls they informed me that finally the car had been picked up and was on its way to Perth, where it would then need to clear quarantine (so add a couple of days). I was so skeptical of this because of all the stories on this forum but I had no choice but to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Sure enough, 6 wks after dropping my car off (and 4.5 weeks overdue) I got a call from the truckie himself that my car was ready for collection from its Mundaring depot. I was so overjoyed. Getting dropped off from my Uber and seeing my car intact, relatively clean and with all the belongings loaded in it was just a huuuge relief. I had a chat with the truckie and he came across as a good guy and a hardworker and I felt for him when he told me how many angry calls he had to field on a weekly basis. At his depot, he pointed out about a dozen cars which were destined for Kalgoorlie all the way to Brisbane. I am not certain but it seemed he was a subcontractor to MVT.

I think all up, with the benefit of now having my car safely parked in my garage, I appreciate the cheap pricing that they charged for the job they did for me. They got my loaded car across intact and with all goods inside not tampered with. HOWEVER, it was such a stressful experience that I could never go with them again. Anyone who is game to take the risk to save a few dollars I would say don't, or if you must, buy a GPS tracker and leave it in your car so that you can independently verify where it is at all times. The company's irredeemable downfall is its complete lack of communication which comes across as dishonesty. If they had explained to me from the start that the cheaper price is because it were to take 6 weeks, I would absolutely accept this and not stress. If they had provided simple straightforward updates I would be satisfied. Instead because of the lack of planning, I incurred hundreds of dollars of unexpected costs on Uber etc to get around Perth whilst my car was in transit. I got the final impression that they were basically an auto transport company with genuine workers on the ground, but who were so out of their depths from an organisational point of view that their whole logistical machinery was just dysfunctional. The staff (esp [name removed] who was helpful) who fielded my calls were amicable enough (when they picked up) but obviously so used to disgruntled customers that it spoke volumes as to their seeming immunity for any serious concerns for company reputation or customer care.

To all the people who posted 8-9 months ago, perhaps returning to this webpage (Andre, Leah, QldC, Rachel, Jesse W and so on...), I'm curious - how did your situations all get resolved...?

Where is my car!!! – When something is too good to be true, it probably is. 9 months now and still waiting for the return of my vehicle. The magnitude of emails and phone calls over the past 9 months fell on deaf ears and has been an absolute waste of time and money causing a great deal of stress and anxiety. We have contacted the Queensland Police this morning,… Read more

including The Office of Fair Trading in Queensland. They are very aware of how this company operates (or doesn’t operate more to the point) and, when telling the OFT my experience, the contact there would finish my sentence as they have heard the same scenarios over and over again. I feel completely sick to the gut that I ever put faith into this company to return my car within the quoted 3-4 weeks. I hope this helps at least one person out there to reconsider engaging with these people. Will we ever see our Patrol again? :(
