Absolute rip-off – Like one of the other reviewers, I am going through my mother's possessions. I found over twenty of these worthless bits of metal. There's only the occasional receipt, but it appears that each coin costs around $50 with around nine dollars P & P. I haven't taken them to a coin dealer for valuation but, I suspect that I will be laughed at! Unfortunately my mother has dementia and was unaware of the actual value of the coins.

Compliment – Never had any problems at all. Purchased several series, all good. Rang once to address a minor postal damage issue, immediately rectified. Maybe I was a good customer or just nice again.

Hopeless, aged and deceptive by design – Read the fine print for surprises, in 2020 it completely surprises me that there are still such large gotchas in the fine print. Customer service didnt want to help, in the days of Amazon et Al, it was a very aged experience.

Rip off! – The money keeps coming out of your account each month until you phone to cancel the order.......but, wait, even after you phone to cancel, the money keeps coming out of your account! No record of you even having phoned to cancel! Rip off!

Stay away from Macquarie Mint! – Ordered 1 coin a few months ago. Has been nothing but issues. They are difficult to deal with, they take an EXTREMELY long time to post, absolutely ridiculous! Will never purchase from them again.

Overpriced and not as advertised – Bought a Roman coin based on the photo and description of very fine. What I received could only be described as very poor condition. Paid $69.95 and similar condition coins are worth $10-15

A Snail Could Deliver My Coins Quicker – I order special coins for the TOOTH FAIRY to deliver when my children loose a tooth. case it was nearly 5 weeks. Seems excessive considering these products cost so much for them to take so long to send a package the size of an A5 envelope (express post too).

Hopeless – Placed order 6 April. Emailed early May for follow-up. A week later they replied stating there was warehousing issues and would be dispatched the next day. Emailed several more times and finally on 6 June they responded they said had only been dispatched that day. 2 months to dispatch an order! Hopeless! Do not order from this company

at Macquarie Mint she made it easy to stop and return the items. Also only took a few weeks to get the money back.

Deceptive – They market products as silver coins. There not. You cant spend the ones i purchased and they were not silver coins. Be very careful and read the fine print. Ps they are not to concerned about the environment as they still keep sending me glossy brochures after i have tried to get off their lists.

realise that the person paid for what looks like proof coins and a huge premium on the base metal price. Now then here is the kicker - They are not silver but "Commemoratives finished in stunning silver" so really they are not even solid silver which has a value of around $22 per ounce. They are really worthless and the collections in the wooden boxes well we found one set where each coin was a high grade silver but there were differing weights for the coins and differing purities. In some ways the printing postage and packaging were high quality so you think its a top notch authentic product - Some of these coins they supply are not even legal tender of anywhere let alone Australia. In truth some are medallions of little to no value if it is only finished in Silver.

This is like collecting something that is implied to have a high value but when you phone them they state its value is really the base metal. Really go to other places to buy legal tender rather. Looking great and great packaging does not really mean great value...

This is a con! – Purchased coin for my grandson. Not Australian tender as you are led to believe from the ads. And of course they send it in a folder with spaces for many and more expensive pretend coins. Would have given no stars.

Not Australian tender, and they sign you up to a mailing list without consent – I purchased a coin from Macquarie Mint as a present for my boyfriend - big mistake! While he loved the coin, I was deceived into thinking that it was Australian legal tender, when in fact it is not. I was also placed on a mailing list without my consent, and now I receive mindless junk in the mail.

Macquarie Mint is not authorised to produce Australian legal tender – I purchased a Macquarie Mint 2014 $10 'Leaving for War' Silver Commemorative Coin for $10. product I realised that Macquarie Mint is not authorised to produce Australian legal tender. They instead use a loophole in the law and produce coins under the name from one of the poorest Pacific island nations called Kiribati. ( formally known as Gilbert Islands ).

I'm disappointed in the fact that Macquarie Mint uses a coat of arms that can easily be mistaken for the Australian official coat of arms. The Macquarie Mint is not an official Australian Mint. It is only a private, commercial business devoted to making money for itself. They have even been listed on multiple mail order sites, forums and blogs.

Macquarie Mint have been deceiving the public for far too long and should not be allowed to continually conduct their business in this way.

Their coins are worthless as legal tender so they are even less useful then Monopoly money.

Misleading advertising, unethical business practices
