number. Issue is with Linkt not reporting the combined toll charges for the (car rego+ associated tag) to service nsw. Linkt need to report the combined toll charges (for the tag as well as the car rego) for the entire quarter and the claim need to show up as $401.28 + $84.29. Toll tag is a device provided by Linkt itself and its entire operation or malfunction is the responsibility of Linkt itself. If Linkt is not reporting the combined amount poroperly for "service nsw toll relief" then they are causing financial loss to toll users.
I have already tried reaching your helpdesk multiple times by now but it is clearly exhibited that links people do not have any intention to rectify your own mistakes and are in full intent to cause financial loss to toll users.
Worst IT / toll system I've *ever* used. I visit Queensland a few times a year in my motorhome and every single time it's the same problems with Linkt when travelling via Brisbane. My journey doesn't appear on the system even the day after travel, yet I'm warned I must pay within 3 days. How?! My previous account was deleted after a few months… Read more
of inactivity - no warning, no notification. What website just loses your account? I had to set up a new Road Pass and enter my debit card details all over again, still with no idea what I actually owe because the system can't show me.
The whole experience as a visitor is like a game of whack-a-mole trying to avoid a toll. After being stung last time (~$40 for two minutes in a tunnel!), I actively tried to avoid tolls this trip - but with traffic and lane changes it's not always possible. Aggressive signage everywhere warning of penalties, yet the platform behind it simply doesn't work.
I spoke to a telephone operator who assured me it would be fine. I'm acting in good faith. But this system is not fit for purpose, especially for visitors who don't use it daily. Looking at the other reviews here, I'm clearly not alone.
1 star is generous because the system behaves like a scam site trying to get you "you have three days to pay...but you have 10 mins on the last day to try and pay".
got caught on a toll road i always avoid them but a new gps i checked thaat night and the next no tolls showing than 2 weeks later get an invoice in the mail for $14.72 toll $3.29 the rest admin fees go back to toll booths or give it up

Passes scam , Double charging, issuing invoices despite of sufficient account balance, Full toll charging with 80Km Zone etc.. could be called a mistake, but since it is happening again and again, and system has not resolved it after weeks and weeks, i would call it a theft.
Scummy company tries to screw out any toll users. Toll tags randomly malfunction, and you have to troubleshoot it, go through their unclear website to pay for avoiding extra fee. Feels like this company's teamed up with some departments to get as much as they can from residents. Toll should be simple. You go, you pay, done. Yet, this company… Read more
make you spend time signing up for different levels' accounts like an intrusive ad company. Yet, I have to bring this stupid tag with me, not knowing if it's battery dry until it's not beeping then I have to go through all the headache.
P.S. They also charge "video matching fee" for tagless vehicles, make things complicate, create more e-waste. I call this b.s. in 2026.
They state that you can pay a trip 50 hours or so after the trip you make. I have attempted to pay for a trip on the linkt site and they constantly bring up an error message which reads “something went wrong we will be back soon” preventing me from paying for my trip. This is their way of ripping consumers off as if you can’t get through to pay… Read more
for your trip within a short timeframe, you incur a $20 admin fee for a $5 trip. These people think Australians are brain dead.
Maria Sancha was a terrible customer service agent. Each reply from this agent had me waiting for an average of 5 minutes. Something that should have been simply resolved within minutes took me 45 minutes on the chat, and it's still unresolved. Linkt is charging me for a motorcycle that's already registered in my account, and now they're forcing me to pay overdue fees.
These people are a complete scam. They charge my account for the trip I travelled and also sending me the notice to pay. When I asked, they told me to send the email but they didn't respond. when I raised complain on online no respond. I asked them a proof of travel but they didn't They keep sending me the notice when I already have etag. … Read more
They don't send me the evidence of the travel. They have no one to contact, only chatbot. They send to debt collection. This is absolutly big scam in Australia.
I tried to do the right thing and pay a toll invoice before the due date. I signed up for a Linkt account using their NOFEE promo, paid $25 upfront, and added my vehicle — only to find out I couldn’t use the account for 24 hours. My invoice was due that day, and their system blocked me from paying with my balance. Customer service told me the… Read more
only solution was to pay an extra $16.25 manually, even though I already had enough credit. The "credit" they promise for admin fees takes up to 15 days and doesn’t actually help you avoid the upfront cost. No warning about this during sign-up.
Their system is confusing, unfair, and clearly designed to extract more money from customers through technicalities. I spent hours trying to sort out something that should’ve taken 2 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous.
Just found out that Linkt has been charging me a video matching fee of 60c. The beeper went flat a few months ago and I thought nothing of it because if they are video matching then surely they would email me that its been costing me an extra 60c with every travel. But no, they have been gouging me for every cent. Shame on this company.

Received great service from Linkt Melbourne when notifying them that my e-tag had stopped working. I contacted them twice and received helpful, polite and friendly service. I’ve received my new e-tag today, thank you.
Follow-up · Very happy with customer service at Linkt.
If I could give zero stars I would. One of the worst companies I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They lie, hang up on you, leave you on hold for hours… have been trying to resolve an issue and have given up dealing with them and have lodged a complaint with the Toll Ombudsman.
Follow-up · Funny how when the Toll Ombudsman becomes involved they suddenly allocate you a case manager who eventually helps to resolve your case over the next couple of weeks. I would say don’t bother trying to sort it out with LinkT, go straight to the ombudsman and save yourself the hassle.

Very unhappy. My Etag started to beep 2-3 times when I went through a toll point. I did’nt know at all what this means, so called Linkt. Rep told me when this happens, it means I have to top-up my account and pay outstanding trips. I agreed and… Read more
I paid the outstanding amount of $245.37, amount sounded a bit high, but for 2 weeks driving I figured it’s ’bout right and they’ll fix after. 2nd I then top-up my account. I waited 1 or 2 days and called to check on my payment askkng “ mate I paid $245.37 how much of this amount were penalties “ rep answered I don’t know and can’t see anything on my screen I then send Linkt an email, which was not answered coz it’s a no reply address. I decided not to waste anymore more time, what’s the use coz I tried other email addresses, but none worked Now after 2 weeks still no answer and may I also add the amount owing ranged from $245.37 and 3 different amounts. I feel best to get away from Linkt, coz companies can easily give one the runaround, since everything is cloud based
Follow-up · Yep I called support, but this is now overseas and cultural difference one big headache. Varied is a mystery to me, but my work depends on Etag, so I figured best to pay first and sort probs after. I think we are STILL allowed to be human and make mistakes, or have it gone down too “ mistakes and U pay “

Yesterday I became aware that the tag on my wife's car wasn't working. This morning I went to the Linkt web site and it was so easy to verify this and to arrange for the replacement tag to be sent to my address. Also they automatically indicated the additional fee for "no tag" would be refunded.. Well done, Linkt !!!
I had a problem with toll invoices going to the wrong address over a long period so they were unpaid. I called to explain the situation and all the fees were waived. The operator could not have been more helpful and understanding in this instance. I cannot praise the customer service highly enough.
Perfectly reliable – I originally got my Linkt e tag around 15 years ago when I liven in QLD and used it mostly for the Gateway Bridge. Then I moved to NSW and used it maybe six times a year. Been faultless. I can't understand all the negative reviews, maybe from regular commuters. However I live on the Mid North Coast and, as in QLD I use it for the odd trip to… Read more · 1
Sydney and about three times a year for the good old Gateway when I visit family and friends in QLD. Last year the tag only beeped intermittently so I ordered a new one to avoid number plate recognition charges, the new one arrived promply so back in business.
In my case Linkt has been dead reliable.

and told the operator if i get one more call i will take legal action. what they are doing is disgusting and illegal. calling 20 times in the space of about 1 min is harassment.
Absolutely pathetic service and Bot control contact system clearly designed to totally discourage complaints. Couldn't even admit to overcharging and then couldn't even give me the courtesy of letting me know they had finely corrected their mistake and reversed their overcharge. It took more than 20 messages to fix a $6 overcharge. Really pathetic

There is no possible way to leave no stars, as 1 implies that they MAY KNOW what they are doing as a business. access to debt, refuse to investigate anything, but want to take money including in many instances hundreds in admin fees. AVOID this business use ANY other toll service.
This company is a total scam and always force you to pay from credit card. Overseas call center with no work ethics. Hours on the call mostly on hold. They deliberately miss guide you and give direct you They deliberately mute the mic and and not speak while the are listening you. They deliberately hang up the call. They wont let to talk to their supervisor and manager. This company is a total scam.

Don't know what country their call centre is based in but their customer service is beyond atrocious. If this was a business that people had a choice to use or not they would be broke.
Terrible Customer Service from Linket, you set up a travel pass, they take the funds on your credit card and still send you an invoice so you end up paying twice plus their fees. Total rip off. know the travel pass fails all the time.
The travel pass obviously does not work so everyone be warned, they’ll take your money when you buy their travel pass and then you’ll pay again once they send you an invoice plus their fees - It’s a total scam I reckon as you do the right thing and they will not help you in any way, just want you to pay the invoice again so it costs you double to travel on these roads even though it’s already in your credit card.
These incompetent id*ots have now changed there site , no trips coming up can’t pay for anything, absolute ret#rds , might be time to stop paying road tolls all together stop this nonsense tax , what are they going to do shut the roads good luck
Thanks to S Johnno from NSW, I will be making a complaint to the Tolling Customer Ombudsman (TCO) as I also no longer wish to deal with such incompetent, rude individuals that make up this joke of a company. Tolls that fail to read tags are not the customer's fault especially when they have a perfectly working Tag and an Account that has funds. Sending out notices with an extra $10 smacked on top of a $5 toll is corruption.
Sunday 25/01/26 at 9pm I was travelling on Westconnex M8 Tunnel. There was a road works area with no road works being performed. I slowed down and looked for possible danger. My speed was 53kph. The sign posted speed limit was 40kph. The toll paid for the privilege of travailing on this road was $13.29. I received an infringement for… Read more
travelling at 53kph, (13kph over the speed limit). Yes i was speeding but no road works were taking place. I thought that the exorbitant fee for travelling on this road was for an express run. What a scam money grab!!
Strongly disappointed. This system needs regulatory reform and clearer, upfront disclosure. As a new migrant to Melbourne, I had no clear explanation of how the toll system works. I accidentally entered a toll road once, believing I would be charged only the toll fee itself. Instead, I was charged $26 for a single trip, where the so-called… Read more
“administration / video matching fees” were higher than the actual toll.
This system is extremely unfriendly to first-time users, migrants, and people who use toll roads occasionally. The fees are not clearly explained at the point of use, and the burden only becomes visible after the charge is issued.
What is most frustrating is that these are public roads, yet they are operated in a way that allows a private company to extract excessive fees through technicalities rather than transparent pricing.
This feels less like a service and more like a trap for people who are unfamiliar with the system. A fair toll system should charge tolls — not hide profit behind administrative penalties.
Don't email you a invoice so you have to go and find your number plate to pay only to find out that they have added late fee of $25 for unpaid account I signed up to their app and they conveniently took $1.50 out of my account for signup fee then, so why not use the details provided to pay account? - useless
I would give 0 stars if I could. I didn't mean to go through a toll, happy to pay since my fault and used their road, but letter sent over Christmas to pay by 5 Jan. Not sure if it arrived by then, I don't think so but if it did I didn't open/read what the letter was until after 5 Jan. Then they put the fee up because I didn't pay by 5 Jan and… Read more
sent me another notice wanting 34.95, including 30 admin fees. So ridulously overpriced and st^pid. Will aim to find where all the links toll roads are and avoid in future.
