Argent Omnia Pro BTW Toilet Suite – I too, purchased 3 omnia pro back to wall toilet suites. Two out of 3 of them, have cracks in the cistern. I also contacted Argent in regards to this happening, as the toilets are out of warranty I was advised to replace the damaged cisterns with Architectura cisterns which will overhang the bowl a further cm on each side. I am worried when I… Read more

replace them will the same thing happen with the new ones. I wish I could replace them with caroma products, as I had them in my previous home, and they lasted many years without fault. Unfortunately though, when you have toilets with a rear inlet you will incur a costly expense to move it, as the height varies among different toilets, and brands.

My cistern is cracked and leaking – My toilet and cistern was installed in 2005 , I noticed today that the cistern has long cracks in it and is leaking , I am glad I found this review as I thought my kids must have damaged it , but now I know it is just a manufacturing defect. Show details

Villeroy and Boch Omnia Fail – We renovated our bathroom and toilet in 2006 / 2007. We opted for a Villeroy and Boch Omnia cistern and pan. I suspect the porcelain used in the toilet was faulty as all parts of the toilet ( the cistern pan and cistern lid have all developed full thickness cracks which are causing the toilet to leak water on the floor. I would expect a far… Read more

better product than this from Villeroy and Boch. I spoke to Ally from Argent ( the wholesaler ) who was less than helpful suggesting that unless I had proof of purchase she was unable to help me. If this is to be their final response I would steer clear of Villeroy and Boch products in future.

3 Omnia Villeroy & Bosch toilet were installed in our home renos in 2003 costing $730.00 each toilet. We have cracks – I did have 2 cistern tops replaced in 2013 because of cracks. This year in 2021 all 3 cisterns have developed cracks virtually overnight, 2 found with water on the floor and one toilet with a cistern crack which is about to explode and leak also. I can see a crack developing in one toilet base of the toilet pan also. That means I have to replace… Read more

3 cisterns, one lid which was also cracked plus a new toilet bowl! These toilets were supposed to be top of the range and they cost us heaps. I am devastated about this. I have been advised I can get a special price for replacement Villeroy and Bosch Toilets. These toilets are shocking, they must be something wrong with the porcelaine? I do not want these toilets anymore, I have no faith in the product now, especially after reading these reviews. Toilets are not currently expensive and checking the prices on the latest Villeroy & Bosch which are expensive. It will cost to replace 3 toilets with theirs approx $899.00 per toilet plus installation. We cannot afford this added cost. No wonder its a discontinued toilet suite. I cannot even bring myself to give them 1 star. I am a very dissapointed consumer of Villeroy and Bosch products. They have not been very helpful to me.

Never touch this toilet – All internal part disintegrated and left me with a flooded house. The ceramic Coats and needs lining after ever bowel action. Very costly mistake. Stick with Caroma in Australia. This expensive toilet is a piece of junk.

Villeroy & nonsense – I'll agree with the rest of the reviews on here with regards to the Omnia Pro crapper.......it is crap, and no wonder they don't make them anymore, to much risk that they might collapse and end up injuring someone. I've got 2, soon to be "had 2" of these useless excuses for toilets. Mine both have more cracks than a Ming Dynasty vase, the cistern… Read more

top has basically disintegrated into 4 parts, this is now replaced with a piece of white perspex I manufactured to fit, works better than the real thing. I came home one day to a flooded downstairs section of my house, only to find the other cistern has basically split in 2 rendering the toilet unusable and pouring water out for hours while I was at work. Yay!!!! So a big thumbs up to the V & B team for getting rid of this disgrace however an even bigger thumbs down for your reluctance to help anyone who has bought one of these crap crappers shows money is everything to you and your customers don't mean crap. Perhaps the offer of a discount on another bathroom (toilet) product might keep some of your disgruntled customers somewhat happy. As for me, i'll be purchasing something without the V & B label or price tag...

Architectura toilet - poorly designed – This is the worst toilet bowl ever design. Worse than public toilets. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it at the time. More importantly, I can’t believe the designers that photo is. Any time most people use the bathroom the still has nowhere to go except onto the ball because it protrudes. It is disgusting. Any anti-nonstick coating is just a… Read more

load of rubbish. I have constantly got to clean the toilet bowls every time but they are used. Just worst ever

Villaroy & Boch toilet failure – Two 15 year old V & B toilet suites started leaking from cracks in the cistern and bowl within one month of each other. Both are concreted to the floor so plumber is reluctant to attempt replacing as may damage tiles. Argent not much help other than to say they don’t manafacture the Omnia pro 6699 anymore. Have to buy whole new suite and have… Read more

installed but may not fit like the old one. Reputation & price far exceeds reality. Don’t go near Villaroy & Boch.

Zero stars – I am interested to read the other reviews about problems with these toilets. We had three Omnia Pro toilets installed when we built in 2001. It was recommended as high quality at the time. Since then two of the cisterns cracked - luckily both times we were at home which minimized the water damage. We chose to replace the third as a precaution. Now there are cracks in the pedestal of one of them. Our builder says they no longer recommend V&B....

Omnia pro toilet cistern cracked after six years minimal use – Can't believe a high cost product can fail so quick with no replacement cistern available. Was convinced to use Villeroy and Boch in an expensive build and cant believe there is no back up replacements for a product with such bad reviews.

V&B Cracking Toilet Issues – We moved into our house in early 2013 that had been renovated a few years before with "quality" Villeroy and Boch products, including 4 toilets, 2 x Omnia Pro and 2 x Sunny (after extensive research). After one month we awoke to find water continuously running onto the floor from a cracked cistern. Unrepairable, no replacement cistern available,… Read more

so one complete toilet required. Now in mid 2017 we awoke to find the exact same thing from another toilet. Unbelievable. And it's not like the toilets get abused - middle aged couple with no kids at home; and the spare bathrooms were the issue.

Villeroy & Boch Omnia Pro Ceramics crack and leak – We undertook two bathroom renovations in 2001. Within 5 years we had to replace both Omnia Pro basins on account of cracked and leaking ceramics. We have subsequently replaced a cracked and leaking Omnia Pro cistern. Last night discovered water running across the floor from the other bathroom toilet - the source of the leak is ANOTHER cracked… Read more

Omnia Pro cistern. On inspection of the toilet base, there are also cracks now evident - how long before they start leaking is anyone's guess. We all grew up with bullet proof ceramic toilets; it is clear that the quality of this premium brand is very substandard.

Terrible Experience – We were recommended this brand by our supplier (Hardware and General in Brookvale). It was a lot more expensive than the others, but we liked the design and we were happy to pay for something that we thought was better quality. We have had nothing but problems with it, and when we went back to the supplier, they contacted the company and they just… Read more

said it was past the warranty period and they couldn't do anything. The rim is unglazed, so impossible to clean (the more you try to clean it, the dirtier it looks), there are a large number of cracks, and where the toilet seat connects is a dirt trap and difficult to clean. We have the original 1940s toilet from our home in the outside bathroom, and it looks immaculate. I would never recommend Villeroy and Boch - the product as well as the after sales service are terrible.

Similar problems – We installed ours in 2002 (bought from Cass Brothers, Petersham) when we renovated the bathroom. It started leaking in May 2015. We looked for the source and found the cistern had a crack. There are only two of us - we weren't the cause. I contacted Argent (the Australian distributor) and found we couldn't replace the cistern because they no… Read more

longer offered cisterns with side entry water points. The toilet is cemented into the floor so replacing it would involve damaging the tiles - more problems and more money. We instead had the crack repaired by a plumber ($$).

In December 2016 we had to replace the Geberit flushing mechanism because that stopped working (~$100).

Two of the four toilet seat buffers/bumpers have died so I have been trying to replace them - another nightmare. The toilet seat is made by Carrara & Matta. Argent can't supply the buffers but for about $200 they're offering to order a suitable replacement seat (but they won't provide any details such as a picture, part number, etc).

The V&B toilet looks nice but it replaced a 33-year-old Caroma that had nothing wrong with it. I'd be really wary of buying a Villeroy & Boch again because I don't expect the ceramics to fail and I do expect to be able to replace non-durable items without it being difficult and costing a bomb.

three fauly toilets – Interesting to read the other review on this website. We have just purchased a seven year old house which has 4 Villeroy and Boch toilets. 3 of them have cracks on the left hand side of the bowl at floor level. One is also cracked near the flush button. I contacted the manufacturer as this must surely be a fault and they told me that they have had… Read more

no similar complaints and I had no warranty. I feel if you are paying top dollar you would expect your product to last! I am not happy and will not buy this brand again.

Quality problems – When our house was renovated in 2003 three Villeroy & Boch Omnia Pro 6699 toilets were installed. In July - August 2015 all three toilets developed cracks within the space of a month. The cracks were in similar positions on each of the toilets - in the front left and right of the bowl from the floor up. These toilets had not been subjected to… Read more

heavy use the house being occupied about 60% of the time by a husband and wife with occasional visitors. The house had never been used by anyone else. When the cracks in the toilets were reported to the local supplier we were told that they had had other reports of the same toilets failing at about 12 years after installation. We subsequently heard of several other Villeroy & Boch toilets having to be replaced as result of cracking but we do not know if these were the same model.

The local supplier consulted with the Villeroy & Boch agent and although the toilets were long out of any guarantee period we were offered replacement toilets at a "special price". The replacement toilets are the O Novo BTW model. All three have been installed but during installation one was found to be faulty. It had an indentation in the cistern which resulted in water leaking continuously into the toilet bowl. The local agent was again contacted and the outcome was that the plumber had to install the faulty toilet and apply a silicon sealant to fix the leak. We were told that if there were any further problems the toilets would be repaired by Villeroy & Boch under guarantee!! Needless to say we have been very disappointed in the quality of the Villeroy & Boch brand - after all it is a top brand and quite expensive! Given the choice we would not install Villeroy & Boch again.
