Great, but Expected More – The description implied there might have been a "night light" option, the "light control" implied there was a switch/dial controlling light intensity - as suggested in the image of the back of the clock in its product page. The "sound control" seems to work just as well as a motion sensor, a raised voice may not always trigger it, whereas a quiet, bit rapid movement in front of the clock may trigger it. And when the clock is lit, it's not all that easy to determine the position of the hands. The docs say the three batteries for the sensor and light will last for 6-7 months, personally, a weaker sensor and light is desirable, so that the existing light/sensor functions are performed by two batteries, or better, one battery. Better for the environment, too. Still, it works well as a novelty clock, and the hand motion is very cool.

For the clock itself, the mfg recommended a zinc carbon battery, much cheaper, but slightly more toxic to the environment than an alkaline battery.
