Absolutely shocking. Google Advertising take your money, justify it with impressions, clicks & calls & other analytical jargon, and all the while, not one single business enquiry. Then, I went to cancel the campaign, only to realise that the cancellation option was looping, several times, so I literally had to copy the link, open a separate browser in order to finally cancel the campaign, like as if they were deliberately making it difficult for users to actually cancel a campaign. Then, straight after cancelling, Google sends me an email, not to share that they were disappointed in me choosing to cancel, but, and I quote, “You owe us $5.84”. Having requested a phone call the following day from Google advertising, I had selected the time frame of 9am-11am. They end up calling me in the early afternoon. I could hardly understand the representative, due to his thick accent, so I ask to speak with his manager, to which I explain my situation and instead of empathising, understanding and demonstrating a level of compassion, she literally hangs up on me. My advice to any small business owners who can relate to this less than positive experience with Google Advertising, seek alternative marketing strategies. Work smarter, not harder, because Google advertising is highly expensive and they don’t care about wanting to help you grow your business. All they care about is what you still owe them. Never again. Lesson learned.
