Buy an upgrade for 2021 – I bought my iPhone 6s brand new in 2019 from Officeworks. Two years later it still works, however battery life is abysmal and can hardly last half an hour from an 80% charge. The camera quality is also not great when compared to more recent iPhones, you have to choose whether to have the sky or ground in the picture especially when it comes to… Read more

taking photos of sunsets, and zooming in on objects in a small distance away is blurry as. Overall it's ok, but I'd recommend the iphone 8 or up. Better camera, faster features, for a bit more.

Worked well..until dreaded 14.0 system upgrade ruined my phone – My 6s has been a great phone, until I allowed the system update 14.0 to install. Battery power drains from 100% charge within minutes of use crashes then reboots or wont respond until charger or computer connected. Shows low power 10%, within a minute shows 90%. Have backed up and on Apple advice restored / updated latest patch with exactly same… Read more

problem. Apple staff over years have been great and the Charlestown service are brilliant. But issue is Apple say as phone is old a charge will apply (and of course 4 hours driving, fuel and parking and my time), and simply despite all of the recorded problems SOLELY DUE TO APPLE SYSTEM SOFTWARE that they have been aware of world wide since at least October 2020, they keep rolling the faulty updates out. Then want to add insult to injury to charge me to fix the damage they knowingly initiated onto my device. Asked for their legal department contact and given a PO Box address. SERIOUSLY? Have they heard of email and phones???? You have already cost me hours trying to remedy this and now refuse to accept legal responsibility? Spoke initially today with NSW Fair Trading and advised to initiate an online complaint as this "is not acceptable ". Funny how it took court action to get batteries replaced after all the years of "Can't replace batteries in iPhones"! Wake up at head Office USA and treat your customers (the people who keep you in business) with a bit more respect. Will update after complaint progresses.

Apple- rotten to the core – Phone was ok for nearly 1 1/2 years but that’s where all the problems started. overheating when watching video content including video I had taken myself. Battery not holding charge & was getting worse. Took it to a Telstra shop who assured me there was no problem on 4 different occasions in 6 weeks ! Just out of warranty & guess what phone… Read more

refuses to turn on or be charged. Took it back to Apple in Doncaster, was served by a young lady who seemed to know what she was talking about. After over 30 minutes of trying to establish what the problem was , checking this , that & the other !!! Only to be told ‘ cannot get the phone battery to respond so Apple considers this as a dead unit & what we can do for you is offer you a replacement for $450’.......after a small pause in shock I asked if Apple would replace the battery & I would pay for the battery . I was repeated told Apple considers this phone as a dead unit & the best they could do is offer a replacement for $450.... YES ! I heard what you said the first 4 times.

When I asked what could have caused the overheating of the phone , the well trained employee again repeated the best Apple can do is offer a replacement for $450. When I said I was not interested in paying , she picked up her lap top & other equipment & cords & walked off on me !

What just happened? Did she just waiste over 30 minutes of my life in store & another hour travelling time ,to tell me to spend more money on a refurbished model that has so many well known problems .

DONE !FINISHED !!NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND ANOTHER CENT ON APPLE !!!!

To not even open the phone to see what went wrong is the worst customer service I have ever seen . I suppose that’s the best way to not find an ongoing problem with your products & therefore have to report that problem.

The Best Value Phone You Can Buy – Obviously my title is a bold statement. There are many fantastic budget phones on the market. I myself have previously owned a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro and a OnePlus 3T, both of which were (at the time) some of the best bang-for-buck smartphones you could buy. But they never felt complete. The battery would not last as long as I needed it to or the… Read more

camera quality was mediocre at best. The iPhone 6S is a phone that can be bought for approximately $300AUD used (I got my Gold 64GB for $299 at Cash Converters) and I actually sold my 7 Plus for this as the experience was near identical. The camera is fantastic. The battery always lasts through a full day and has amazing standby time (something Android severely lacks from my experience), the 2GB RAM and A9 chip still power through everything to this day and the screen is vibrant, bright and sharp. Best of all, it is the last iPhone with a headphone jack. Honestly as much as iOS sometimes infuriates me, it really is the best cheap phone I've ever owned. Definitely recommend picking one up if you find it cheap.

Wouldn't have any other make of phone! – Before purchasing the iPhone 6S I had the 5c model for a number of years. This is a great upgrade. The screen is large and crystal clear, and the sensitivity to touch is second to none. I like the extras that have come with the newer model (compared to the 5) especially the fingerprint unlocking security. I have found this to be very accurate and… Read more

a great way to keep your phone private. In addition I like the way you can edit screenshot photos immediately - or draw/crop them before saving or simply discarding it straight away. I think the 32GB of storage is plenty for me personally - I know it may not for others, I have not had any issue with this at all. Very simple and easy set up once purchased. The camera on here is also extremely good for a phone, even the front facing camera - I would never buy or carry a camera separate with me because the phone is excellent quality and of course more convenient!

Overall I would recommend this phone to anyone looking to try an Apple for the first time.

Great Phone – Have had no issues at all with this phone, it has been great. It isn't the latest & greatest, but it does everything I need with ease and is very easy to use. Seems very sturdy and has a really nice clear screen. Would recommend this model if you want a good phone without spending a fortune. Show details

Good Phone – Purchased second hand, after a couple years of use, still remains fast phone for general uses and games. Battery definitely is on the short side only about 6 hours on idle now. Touch ID is also broken, not sure what is the cause but I suspect it to be water damage. After the Touch ID broke, on some idle times, the Touch ID position would heat up… Read more

dramatically. Playing large games, which is common nowadays, the phone would heat up a lot. Other than that, there is no other noticeable degrade in performance, other than the compatibility issue that may happen soon.

Iphone 6 = ok – Camera quality is good, not insane. Pretty ergonomic phone, fits in your pocket easily and doesn't poke out. The battery is it's downfall, loses charge after a year or so.

In love with Apple – The camera quality of both cameras are pretty good. You are able to see every little thing in the picture in high quality. Normally the durability of the display is good but after using my phone 4 years the whole screen is smashed, but my phone is still working. The brightness of the screen is bright enough. Besides I use my phone for editing pictures and apps are running smoothly. Show details

This is not a bad phone – I have been using this phone since last year and it is fine. Only one problem is that it does not fit so well in a side pocket. I like the big screen and battery life. I hope to use this phone for a few years. I think it is totally a bad idea to buy or upgrade a smart phone every year.  Show details

Great phone – I have been using HTC for a long time but the iPhone 6s is even now after 3 years still a good phone for day-to-day usage. Just feels it is getting slower and slower, with every iOS update. Not sure why that is. But I heard the same from a friend and she has a iPhone X!! Great value for money!  Show details
