Good machine – Cleans good no problems at all have had it for over 3yrs now with nothing at all going wrong with it. My daughter moved the machine from where the tech fitted it and set up and levaled it and with in week of putting it back it has never been the same. It was out balance and everything went wrong. A tech came fitted properly with levels and all and… Read more ·  1

Fantastic machine - could be quieter – We really enjoy this machine, we replaced our LG with this, and it does everything it says on the box. The only issue is that when it gets up to really high speed, it does move quite a lot, and gets quite loud because of the banging it makes. If you house it on a flat surface, on the ground, it will be fine. We have had it on 2 types of boxes… Read more

now, and none of them have been able to stablize the machine. Probably expected given the weight of the machine, and only a minor issue. Clothes dry very well after the spin. Best feature by far is ability to perform a 15 min cycle.

Absolute crap – Worst machine I have ever owned. Sensors won't let machine start no matter how many times u re arrange the washing.. massive waste of money as can't use the stupid machine. After 6 months the dryer stopped working.. no ever since that was repaired it has been playing up. I will never buy a daewoo machine again.  Show details

Poor quality washing machine – Soon after buying it from an independent dealer the circuit board did not work.Got that replaced and the washing machine worked OK but is temperamental. The quick wash must have a certain weight otherwise it wont spin. I've never felt that it would start but does wash when it works. i would not recommend anyone to buy these machines  Show details

Always breaks down – I was lucky I purchased this on rent try buy. The machine was noisy. Wash cycles took forever. Hoses constantly block as if it doesnt have a lint filter, cos things get stuck in the drainage hose, requiring you to get a technical support guy out. This happened all within the first few washes. Then after 1 mth (was gone for repair for most… Read more

of it). The arm went and needed to be replaced. After waiting nearly a month for it to be repaired (waiting on parts), the bearings went in it. After 3mths of owning the machine, I told radio rentals I didnt want it anymore if they could replace it with a different machine. Considering I only owned this machine for 3 mths, it was gone for a min of 6 weeks, shows you its a lemon, just like their cars.

dont bother – Daewoo makes rubbish cars and washing machines i knew that, my mate said its cheap one week later it died and guess what 3 month wait for new one from Korea. So guess what the cars and washers fall apart bit by bit literally every 3 months a new part breaks untill it cost you more than the retail price x 5.  Show details

Doesn't deserve one star – First month heater element went, 6th month water pump now 14 months in and the electric board has caught fire if I'd not been home I'd have lost my house. Lint stays on clothes It's loud as hell worst machine I've ever owned only good for the rubbish tip or as a fire drum, literally. Thank goodness radio rentals have now let me out of my contract never using or buying daewoo anything again.

Crappiest washing machine, ever don't buy – I got this as a gift almost 4 years ago and from moment i bought nothing but trouble. The first one came and the door was faulty on arrival had to wait a week for new one...then the baby socks and socks in general get caught in a space between glass and drum and small socks like baby ones would get sucked between this space and constantly block… Read more

the filter and i would have to empty. I also got socks stuck in drain under the machine the supt drain or summink. I google, i fixed as they couldn't reimburse the money as the giftee had left country and no longer could personally deal with it and seemed more trouble than it was worse. I have given up in this and now bought a hotpoint. Also the dryer smells rubbery when you dry clothes.

Daewoo DWC LD1412 – WOW, I'm very surprised there are so many bad reviews...I just bought one and aside from the seller and delivery company, who gave me the most strife, I've actually had no problems with the machine thus far. Though it's only been a couple days since receiving it. Cant agree to other posts about leaking water or noise on washing; spin or drying… Read more

modes, I'm quite happy with it's being fair quite....and yes, it does sound a little like a fighter jet taking off ~ I found that a quaint change from other machines with their very mechanical motor whirring.

My only issue is with the manual that came with it. Only shows two models and neither are mine and standard of english is fair, given where it's come from. But not very helpful with learning how to use all programs and settings. But I have been doing fairly well on figuring it out and it has been doing pretty well. ust trying to figure out if the memory button can be reset to my own settings but still as long as its doing what I need it to do, its great. Sorry about the troubles some of you have had.

December 10th 2014 Update:

Hi all,

Just an update on how things are going with my washer/dryer. Well to be honest..I hadn't figured out much with the wash/dry and program functions, other than just doing basic wash n dry. I must point out though, I have had a couple 'water leak', issues...but I think that was mostly due to me overloading the washer and then leaving the same load for drying. After a couple times of this I had to keep the wash load to it's allowed 8.5kg, ( tempting to just shove everything in ONE load... :P) But even with the water that leaked, it wasn't very substantial and as soon as I started keeping to not overloading, the leaking stopped. As for the dryer function, it works pretty well...was abit of a shocker finding out that it 'sprayed' water onto the clothing during the 'IRON' dryer function but very happy with the finished result. So to end my review, I'm quite happy the machine, it does everything it supposed to. :) Hope this helps yourl' out there.

Excellent Machine – Biggest capacity best energy rating very quiet. A real bonus for family with children just does the job required I see that most machines are made in Korea now days. This being no exception. Well made and looks like all the others but with the addition of the largest capacity and best energy rating All good  Show 2 replies

Steer Clear – I have had my machine for just over 2 years and had nothing but trouble. Within the first year no matter how much I put in, they would never dry properly, only ever get steamy after 18 months the machine started leaking and not heating at all. After being sent away to be repaired, 3 months later was returned, the hose to the filter had come… Read more

disconnected and the "internal filter" was apparently overloaded to the point they said "my house was lucky to have not burnt down", when I asked how to prevent this i was told "you can't the entire casing needs to be removed". After the repair man installed it and left I did a load of washing and it never heated. I then had to wait another month without a washing machine for someone to be sent to change a fuse. Every 3 to 4 loads I have an error code come up. I keep my machine spotlessly clean, often run it through the clean cycle and clean the filter regularly.

As I write this I now have a load of washing stuck in my machine, another error code has come up, I can't drain it, can't spin it, the door is locked.

Needless to say I would stay clear of this washing machine as I am fed-up with not having a washing machine at all.

Very impressed – I bought this machine at a reasonable price and very happy with it in my European laundry as it is a real space saver. The quick wash is great and the dryer does not send fluff and lint or steam up windows like other dryers, which I find fantastic after a busy working week Space saving, water efficient

Good machine but with some irksome niggles – This machine washes and dries fine and to that extent is excellent, however some points to watch out for. 1. The manual covers at least two machines, and one variant with options that doesn't seem to be available yet (steam) and in parts is not as clear as it could be. 2.Despite what the manual say my machine came with the drain hose… Read more

attached, beware: The hose retaining screw needs to be removed in order to remove one of the transit bolts, if you leave it, there is a possibility of damaging the hose (as I did - small pin prick = lots of water on floor). For my installation the hose needed to be left loose to meet the drop requements, this wasn't clear in the manual.

3. The machine is a little noisy due to the drain pump on spin and dry modes, and the water heater makes a noise. The pump runs intermittently when draining and in drying mode. If this is built into a unit or kitchen as in Europe rather than freestanding the noise may be less.

4. The default wash cycle (cottons) takes 1hr 37min, the time remaining indicator isn't accurate.

5. Drying modes (except timer) take between 1hr 40min and 4hr 30min, cupboard dry is 3hr 30mins to times an extra 30 minutes needs to be added for the automatic anti crease mode.

6. There is no specific lint trap in the drum.

7. Water leaks from the soap dispenser when using the cupboard or very dry modes. It is obvious that the drying element is in the top of the machine and this would be why the soap dispenser leaks water down the front of the machine. On the bright side thin clothes could be warmed by placing them on the top of the machine during the drying cycle.

My previous machine was an Asko, compared to that the wash cycles seem longer and the 1000rpm spin seems slower and unlike the Asko doesn't sound like a fighter about to take off.

I've only had the machine a few days, but these are my first impressions. Washes well and dryer dryes 5kg of clothes efficiently Noisy drain pump, water leaks from soap dispenser during drying
