Wow, I'm so impressed with the quality of the materials its solid and sturdy and its soooo easy to use!! If im being completely honest though, it will be interesting to see how it is a year from now.

We literally just un-boxed it and 5 mins later using it. I took videos to share BUT had to really cut one down showing it working but couldnt include the spin cycle..which is a shame!!! Another one is of the clothes on the line after to show how much moisture extracted from the spin.

Use: Camping We regularly 2-3 times per year camp on the beach for at least 1 week to 4 weeks at a stretch. This machine for us is a time saver, as we usually have to wait for laundry build-up and then drive 30+ ks on the beach, through Noosaville traffic only to sit at a laundromat...$10 per load, to the drive back hang ect. Now we can do it in camp, we have enough water and power to run it, so we can't wait next week to use it!

Instructions: We found them to very easy and uncomplicated. Owners manual has diagrams as well as written ones with installation, power requirements, advice and tips down to a washing guide for the different clothing types and corresponding recommended cycle to set for them.

For our first load, we washed 4 heavier types of clothing with light soiling to see how it went and we are very happy. The spin cycle is very smooth and there's no soggy clothes as you can spin it out as many times as you need!

We hooked it up to the normal garden hose at home, and it worked perfectly or you can bucket water in if that's all you have. We have a camp trailer so we can hook it up to using the shower fittings we already have. #winning

It tells you everything from the water level, lint cleaning to what sort of detergent to use. READ the instructions... honestly they couldn't have made it any simpler to follow!

Con: I don't think this is for us, but for heavey items like jeans and beach towels 1 or 2 items per load as it's not built for really heavey loads.

wretched thing has no way to open the door (yes I followed the instructions, they don’t work) So the only way to get my clothes out is to run the air dry function for another 40 minutes to finally open the wretched door.

I suggest you don’t buy this brand and instead buy one with a proper door release function

jobs going on. What I really like with the condenser dryer is that clothes come out "fluffed up" and not in a knot. I have a person come in weekly in support and she loves the dryer. The only issue I have had, has been an odd sound coming from the laundry that I might hear once a week, as if a clutch or motor engaged. Once upon a time somewhere I previously resided at besides where I reside today, there i was at another area inside my house and two dogs someone oneday addressed me wearing clothes that were not properly washed and half dried, it was there concern for some time, I seemed reason for understanding but when someone who sometimes stinks, I didn’t smell others clothes sometimes stink, I would not even notice properly if the fashion i wore was inadequate or looking strange, I me a next to my pets my pets love me for who I am whatever I wear. To some others I was out of wack UNTIL one day come around, finally that day I knew surely I .was about to get myself involved in something knew and charismatic I decided to make a change and eventually bring back home a new washing machine I didn’t know yet what brand it was going to be. I decided to step out, I stepped out shopping to bring home a new washing.machine and at the time I imagined that; “if ever I had imagined my life changing for better I thought a combination washer and dryer was not possible to make that much of a change” but really when I thought about it carefully in a manner of a NUTSHELL sort of like GHOST IN A SHELL I convinced myself to bring this new machine home already, I became available to head out shopping, i finally headed out and into Harvey Norman and It was in the year 2017 I had bought home another great appliance this time being a brand “Electrolux washer and dryer” from Harvey Norman and its manufacturing business brand name is still going strong till this day too in 2026. The total price of a callout fee is: $149.00

Simple resolution to save money and remember these three steps while owning a Electrolux washer and dryer combo:; 1. filtration needs cleaning; unscrew filter cap and drain out excess clogged fluid, pull cap out of machine and clean the filter via a sink under a tap with running water, 2. before screwing filter cap back in the washer and dryer machine appliance make sure nothing else will cause a blockage, even when the filter has been cleaned, even clean where it’s got to screw back in. 3. Several days later had heard nothing so contacted them again, with a further lengthy delay, so took the call back option. No call back after two days and another extended period on the phone. Finally got to speak to a person who said that they would get a technician to contact me within a further two business days. I have no idea where the people that I have been talking to are located, maybe in Australia but more likely overseas. properly, leaving all laundry soaking wet. This has been happening consistently and has caused damage to my clothes.

This issue has been ongoing for over a year, and despite this, it has not been resolved. The machine has undergone three separate repair attempts by authorised technicians, including full troubleshooting and multiple parts replacements, yet the same problem continues.

I have also had to rearrange my work schedule multiple times to attend these repair visits, resulting in lost income. In addition, some of my laundry has been damaged due to the ongoing fault.

What is most concerning is that despite repeated contact with LG, there has been no effective resolution. I have received multiple phone calls asking for the same information repeatedly, but no actual outcome has been delivered.

At this point, it is clear that the product has a major failure, and the issue has not been resolved within a reasonable time.

I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

issue happening. The model I have is the WV5-1410W. My wife and I have placed 3 calls with the supplier to get the machine repaired and it has been over 10 days with nothing heard. the dimensions - it fits under my benchtop, & takes up half the space of 2 separate appliances. I feel that after this length of time, I can give a decent, weighty review of this washer/dryer. I've only used the dryer function a few times, but each time, the clothes have come out perfect. I have been so impressed with it that I also bought one for my daughters' share-house. And they love it too! They use the dryer function at least 50% of the time, & they have never had any issues with it. I would definitely buy this brand again, and am completely sold on the concept of the combined washer/dryer, especially if you're downsizing - which I was.

multiple repair attempts. Since purchase, the unit has had several serious issues. One of the machines leaked shortly after use and required repair. The second unit developed a faulty control panel, which caused a noticeable delay when selecting settings. This was also repaired. However, further issues have continued. The machine began beeping continuously throughout cycles, and on occasion the display would turn off while the beeping continued and the cycle failed to complete properly. This has already been repaired more than once, yet the problem persists. Most recently, despite another repair visit, the machine is still beeping constantly during operation. Firstly the technician had no idea what he was there to fix. Asked me for a video of the issue even though I explained it to him multiple times. And video recordings were sent when we lodged the repair with LG. He opened the top of the machine and he tightened some things. The technician advised that if the machine overheats, it should not be used for two days to allow it to reset. I find this explanation unacceptable, as a washing machine should not require extended downtime after normal use, nor should it exhibit ongoing faults after multiple repairs. He also told me they would charge me to come out to repair normally. This machine has been faulty from the date of purchase. At this point, the product has not performed reliably at any stage, despite repeated servicing. The issues appear to be persistent and unresolved rather than isolated faults. Given the number of failures and unsuccessful repair attempts, I am requesting that the matter be escalated and that you provide a suitable resolution. This should include either a replacement unit or a full remedy under consumer warranty obligations. I would appreciate a prompt response outlining the next steps.

We got it fixed and found out it overheat even when the machine is not working so have to turn it off all the time. but still having the same issue again after got it fixed. overall I am happy with the washing side, it is gentle and functions as expected - unfortunately this is where the satisfaction stops and the disappointment starts. I was surprised to see that the dryer indicated over three hours to dry five towels, and even more surprised to find that after those three hours the towels were no dryer than when the spin cycle ended after the wash. I gave the dryer another hour only to pull out steaming, damp towels and hang them to dry manually. At almost $3K, the price of the unit was justified only because I desperately needed the dryer function to get me out of trouble on those rainy days as I don’t have the space to hang in my small unit, to say it didn’t deliver would be an understatement. Incredibly disappointed and deeply remorseful about this purchase.

the machine won't accept small loads, and clothes come out very damp. It comes up with an error code - too small load. This is my week's worth of laundry. I've tried many different cycles / settings, even had a Miele technician come to check it. My clothes aren't heavy or voluminous enough to trigger the sensors on the door apparently. Miele advertise this machine as great for daily use. Considering that its an 8 kg washing machine but can only dry 4 kg (so if you're doing a large load, you have to halve your load to dry it) - it seems odd it can't do my 3 kg of drying after washing it. This was a big expense and now I have to buy a separate dryer. Very unhappy. UPDATE: After discussions with Miele and using the Delicates (1 kg max) or Woollen (2 kg max) Cycle for drying for my small loads as a single person; or using the Warm Air cycle - none gave me anything but damp clothes after the wash. I weighed and tried a 1 kg load and a 2 kg load with no success. Even adding towels into the load to bulk up the volume made no difference. It's been a waste of my time and money. As a disabled person who saw this as a terrific help, it's been nothing but a hindrance. This machine should be sold as family-sized only load washing machine (and remember it's an 8 kg wash and 4 kg dry machine, so if you wash large loads, you'll have to do separate cycles to cut the load in half for drying; or just do 4 kg loads.

recirculation pump and no in wash filter except the obligatory drain filter. This lint filtration during washing only occurs in the very expensive models and even then in wash lint filtration isn't easily maintained which is a big oversight generally in my opinion.

That said I'm very impressed with this machine. It's particularly quiet during the drying cycle which uses a 1200 watt heater element and a cylindrical fan that accepts short squirts of inlet water to steam clean the clothes to keep them from wrinkling or smelling mouldy. That same steam keeps the clothes fresh for up to 6 hours after the wash and dry finishes.

The dryer section is so quiet that you have to go into the room to check it's working. It really is that quiet

The spin speed is selectable with a default temperature and spin speed suggestion for each cycle you select and can be as high as 1600rpm which is higher than most and probably contributes a lot to the fairly high efficiency of 4.5 and 4 respectively for wash and dry.

The direct drive is actually a belt drive but it has no gearing so it's direct in that way and the motor can measure the effort required to turn the drum. As you select the clothing material type by wash cycle it then can gauge the wash load by motor load and set the correct water and other settings to save you on energy...6th Sense.

This machine has an enormous range of wash times from 30 minutes for a super quick wash without a dry to a full 10+ hours yes that's ten hours for an eco cotton full wash and every duration in-between.

The idea of the long cycle is to trade off energy consumption for time of wash completion by washing and drying at a reduced rate and reduced temperature but for longer.

This is the best use of a combo because if you are out for the day and you arrive home to your clothes fully dry and clean, what do you care how long it ran for especially if it's longest part of the cycle is the quietest, the drying.

But if time is important then you can indeed play with the settings of spin speed, temperature and dryness to shorten the wash n dry time. Or simply select the 45 or the 90 minute wash and dry cycles for small loads.

This machine doesn't take too kindly to powders being used when the temperature isn't high enough to easily dissolve. Doing this coats the dryer chamber (not the wash drum) and blocks the condensation tube which ruins the dryer effectiveness and breaks the dryer heater element. So follow instructions and use liquid detergent when washing below 60°C. About that 60°C temp and above use either powder or liquid but don't overfill the machine with powder detergent or you'll ruin its drying as powdered deposits collect over time.

One sanitary feature of this machine is its hidden ability to do a 90°C wash, courtesy of its 1800 watt drum heating element, yes it's got two.. So while it doesn't have a "sanitary" cycle officially it can wash items in a sanitary way.

Well....aside from the stainless steel drum and the child lock and door lock and the ability to pause the wash and on many shorter cycles add items mid wash there's more surprises in store but do follow instructions and please don't overload it as the clothes need space to tumble. As a rough guide a standard oval laundry basket holds 3 kg of washing when not compressed.

Brilliant machine if treated correctly.

or surprises, cycle time what I expect Dries well when you pick the right setting. ⦁ The barrel is huuuuge, I love it ~600mm wide and 400mm deep ⦁ Quiet, not Miele quiet but with direct motor I have to regularly go into the laundry to make sure it’s on, replaced a 10kg Samsung (the model just before they caught fire) and it’s much better. ⦁ Nothing that I can find which needs to be cleaned every time it dries, I checked the cleanout after 10 washes and it was immaculate to my surprise. ⦁ Double protection on the door means it’s not hot to touch even on a 90 degree wash.. though the whole machine gets very warm when drying.

Don’t like ⦁ Black colour does not work with most people’s laundries and highlights scratches and dirt, no white option at the moment. ⦁ Dispenser only accessible at the top so you can’t under mount it ⦁ The controls take an unusual amount of holding down to work, the play button for example needs to be held down for over 3 seconds to run selecting the cycle type works instantly the wash modifiers instantly… just about everything else has a weird built-in delay. ⦁ Pressing Dry and then Towels instead does a fully wash and then dry… instead of just knowing that it’s drying towels ⦁ Like many people we don’t use softener, however the machine incessantly flashes at you unless you put something in it. So I filled it with water ;| ⦁ The detergent lid and compartment covers constantly have moisture on them, much worse when you’ve done a dry, yet the manual specifically says leave these closed I wonder if all this moisture is going to kill internal components fast? ⦁ There is an optional bottom cover, the installers said they are not sure it’s a good thing as it reduces airflow through the machine, I might take this off after a dry and see how bad it is in there. ⦁ The thing makes a annoying jingle at the end of the wash, yet to figure out how to turn this off

A separate section for how bad the app is, it’s useless.

It’s functionality requires you to turn on the device (by being in front of it) after it turns on you then have to hold down the remote button with your load already in and the door closed. Then you have to make your decision within 30 seconds or the machine turns back off. ⦁ You cannot remotely turn on ⦁ You cannot remotely change an existing cycle that it’s started (can’t add a rinse, add/remove a dry etc) ⦁ The thing turns off before you can tell it instead of just washing, to continue to dry… you get something like 1 min after it finished the current operation which is painful ⦁ You cannot do any of the wash modifiers, so you want to add a rinse to your towel wash? Not in the app you arn’t.

Missed expectations:

1, if the machine is on I want it to be available for control in the app, there was enough stuffing around to get it wifi connected with wavers signed. Even better give me the option of making it accessable all the time 2, I want the app to have access to much more data (wash history inc time, power/water used etc 3, I want the control panel to instead be a LCD where I can replace/rename the the wash types with the cycles I regularly use in the order and with the icon I want (we’re in 2026 guys) that way the WAF can immediately select the correct wash from the list of what I’ve made available on the front of the machine

a load on at night, n the morning the floor is flooded and cupboards have started to expand due to the constant water sitting against them. LG advised I had to pay for a technician to come, won’t replace the unit or send anyone to even look at it and have told me because it isn’t leaking while they are on the phone after a load being run with nothing in it that there is nothing wrong with it. Basically not their problem that I have received a faulty product! DO NOT buy this washing machine or LG machines as customer service is appalling.
