Great Dishwasher – This dishwasher cleans really well. It does take a while to wash. The machine has Italian parts built in Poland. Really good quality. And has lasted many years. All the dishwashers I have purchased that were made in Poland have been very good even better than German made. The dishwasher must be 9 years old. Show details
Drainage issues – After cycle is started we hear 3 beeps coming from unit we turn it off and open the door to find water not draining we've removed the filter and cleaned put it back and started cycle again however same thing happens. Located Melbourne Australia
Terrible Unit – Having moved into a 5yo home, we are unlucky to have this Ariston dishwasher. The unit is on 5 years old and it now almost impossible to use. The power button gets stuck in, making it a effort of pushing it until it pops out. If you don't do this exercise then it won't work. It randomly turns off during cycles. So nothing is clean, and… Read more
then the unit stinks. Then back to stept one and pray.
For an upclass Italian unit, I'm very disappointed with the quality of this unit.

Excellent well priced dishwasher – This is our second Ariston dishwasher and we are so happy with our purchase. Our first machine was wonderful but this is even better - super quiet, dish cycles are quite fast especially the rapid wash and the dishes always come out spotless. It was cheap ($495 on special) and is great for a basic machine. I would buy the same model again and I… Read more
would recommend this machine to anyone. The only thing I could complain about is that the top rack tends to be a bit wet at the end of the cycle but otherwise I am very happy with the way the machine performs. The cutlery rack can move to any spot along the front row of the bottom rack which is also great. The the top rack is height adjustable which is also great so you can put long glasses eg beer glasses on the top rack or adjust it upwards to accommodate big pots on the bottom rack. Love this machine especially considering how inexpensive it was. quiet, cleans very well and inexpensive Top rack still tends to be a little wet at the end of the cycle
It's nice when things just work – Have been using the Ariston LBF 51 for about 6 weeks now and have been really impressed. Did the usual internet research and tried to find a good buy, and this is what I ended up buying. So if you're reading this review you can now stop looking!! haha but seriously, for the money (well actually I would have chosen this dishwasher even if our… Read more
budget had been bigger) you really are going to be hard pressed to find better value (new or second hand).
If you are not familiar with the brand, it goes by 'Hot Point' in the UK and is pretty well received over there. Being euro in origin, it has something to deal with hard-water for all you crow-eaters (south aussies). It is also our second Ariston appliance (after purchasing one of their washing machines a couple of years ago), so we had confidence in the brand.
Basically there is not much to review other than to note it does not cause any problems, and simply washes the dishes really well. It doesn't leak or suffer any of the other problems reported by some other brands. You basically just dump some powder in it, close the door and walk away. Too easy. It's nice when things just work. We've not really 'pushed' the machines capability (baked on cheese or anything like that) but it handles daily plates, bowls and cutlery with aplomb. One thing that is a bit annoying is the top tray's glass placement options are a bit limited, but you get around that. Having said that, the upper tray can be lowered for glasses with taller stems.
And finally that brings me to the price. Anything under $600 that works this well, comes with a full 2 year warranty and allows you to not think about it again (we are talking washing dishes after all) get full praise in my book. Looks like value is now spelt A-R-I-S-T-O-N. Does what it says on the can, namely washes dishes. No frills dishwashing, but crucially it ACTUALLY WORKS. It cleans really well and dries okay, is relatively quiet and the daily cycle doesn't take too long. You could find fault with the fact that it's not the largest dishwasher, or that the upper tray water spray pipe is part of the tray itself (so you just need to make sure the tray is closed properly), but honestly, at this price that may be a touch unfair.
GREAT "no-frills" dishwasher! – I bought this Ariston dishwasher to replace my old Ariston and I did that because I know Ariston is a great quality dishwasher. The control board stuffed up in the old one but it really done a great job before it died on me. So I went and got this one and I still think it does a top job! This Ariston model is what you call a "no-frills" model,… Read more
the model above this one has 2 or 3 more functions but as the salesman said... you don't need them all. Let's face it, you only really use the "Daily Wash" or the "Intensive" wash cycle, well that's all I use ;) The model above this one is also another $150 more! So why pay more for something you don't use?
Also I found that just after the cycle has finished, open the door just a little to let the moist hot air out if you are leaving it to dry overnight. This dries everything a lot better. Just thought I let you know ;)
Bottom line... if you want a basic dishwasher that does a good job at a modest price but is of top quality... this is the dishwasher you want ;) It's "no-frills" operating, so easy to use. Very quite. Cleans dishes very well. It's salt dispenser for hard water.

Still going strong - 3 years 3 months – This is more to review the brand than the model (LBF 5B), it really has given us no problem in 3 years and 3 months unlike our previous whirlpool. It is so nice to have a dishwasher go beyond it warranty and not die, quality item, good price. It gets heavy use and we load it up a bit too much but it does its job, quietly. Built in Italy I… Read more
understand and seeing they have to comply with a whole different level than China... this is why it has lasted, the build specifications are tougher. Something I will be looking for when this one wears out.
4 stars no problem for this one, earned it. One star off for the top water jet mount, it is a bit weak (structurally) and wobbles...but still works and has not broken yet.
Very happy with my dishwasher – I purchased my dishwasher over 5 years ago and it has never let me down. Dishes are always clean and dry. I think it is well designed; it is easy to load and the cutlery basket is still in very good nick. I use my dishwasher every day. Have to admit that I rinse before I load and as I go to ensure machine does not get too clogged up, I also run a rinse through and clean filters regularly. Show details · 1

As long lasting as Chinese products – I always hand washed dishes before placing them in dishwasher. Worked well for only 3 years before dying. Warranty was only valid for 2 years. No wonder. I rang support but got none. I will be buying cheap Chinese dishwasher next time.
Does its job well, a bit noisy – I bought this dishwasher in December 2015 and have used it 2-3 times a week since then. 3 years and 8 months down the track, it's still working as well as when it was new. Its no-frills design makes it super simple and easy to use. I hardly ever have dishes come out of the washer with food marks left on them. The downsides: I find this… Read more
dishwasher to be quite noisy, so I try not to run it at night as it can be heard throughout the house. Also, most of the cycles take hours to complete, which is sometimes not ideal. Further, I imagine that in today's market this machine wouldn't be the most water or energy efficient, even for a budget model.
Having said that, this dishwasher is a decent budget product that does its job acceptably.
Disappointed with poor quality cutlery basket. Not happy with customer service – Cleans pretty well and easy to use. However, the cutlery basket broke after only a few months of use. I contacted Ariston and they were unhelpful and advised that they would not cover replacement as it's an accessory! We now need a second replacement. Very disappointing that they are not looking after their customers as it's obviously an issue… Read more
others have had. I would have been better off spending more on a different brand as it's costing hundreds in replacement cutlery baskets for the life of the dishwasher!

Does what it needs to do – Initially the dishwasher would not run as it had a constant warning indicator. Turned out it needed some salt tablets which is required over in some European countries but not in metro Australia. Supplier provided some tablets which will probably outlast the projected life span of the dishwasher. Otherwise no issues that reading the instructions wont overcome. Show details · 1
Dishwasher fine, installation makes it better – This dishwasher was not our first choice but thanks to the Product Review people, we didn't buy a trendy look lemon. It's not the most pretty, with rounded corners and white, however the performance is really great. While noisy before kitchen overhaul, after kitchen overhaul the dishwasher was quiet enough to hear the TV. The dishes all come… Read more
out clean, providing I use a pretty good tablet. (No rinse aid or salt required). Don't use quick wash, use normal wash.
Love my Dishwasher- better than all the others – Cleans beautifully and very easy to clean adjust shelves and fill. Cuttlery basket was only downside and perished after only a year of use. Very very expensive to replace and now need a second. Gosh will have to outlay another $ 50 as the generic one I bought does not fit. Show details
this is crap – I don't have any favourite features. It was fine for about 12 months obviously when it runs out of warranty, since then it wont start, the buttons keep flashing and only works when it wants to no wonder they discontinued it. I will NEVER buy another ariston product and the next salesman that suggest I do, I think he had better start runnung. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!! Show details
Best value dishwasher on the market - Quality and performance – We purchased the dishwasher October 2015, the first couple of days were disappointing as we tried the quick wash. The dishes were not dry and sometime dirty. We then tried the daily wash, while it takes time, it does a great job. Always clean and dry at the end of the cycle. Its very quiet and makes little noise in the back ground. The… Read more · 5
only issue relates to the cutlery basket, its starting to get a few holes, I would love to see this replaced as its still under warranty, maybe a heavier duty basket if possible?
I hope Ariston continue to make this or an equivalent model, as its often hard to find something that just works and in my opinion is probably better than the more expensive models which can be seen by some of the other reviews.
I would give it 5 stars if the basket hadn't started to deteriorate.
Wish I had never bought one - SHOCKING!! – I was advised by the guys at Harvey Norman to buy an Ariston Dishwasher to replace my Bosch - I wanted something along the same specs. My new dishwasher is shocking - it does not clean properly, the dishes are still wet when finished. My glasses have a baked on film on them which I have to hand wash afterwards. Give me back my Bosch anytime!!! I… Read more

Brilliant. Quiet. Sparkling clean dishes. Super simple and perfect for a mum like me – I got one of these second hand and all I can say is it's the best I've used. If you're having problems you obviously got a dud! Brilliant. Quiet. Sparkling clean dishes. Super simple and perfect for a mum like me. Would highly recommend this machine especially as a stand alone. Ours lives in our laundry as we are in a rental. Show reply
Does what is promissd – Good price, cleans well, reliable and relatively quiet. Happy to recommend. Was a bit suspect of reliability given Made in EU (Italy I think) but so far so good after 18 months. Let's hope it hangs in there. Don't worry about salts function in au, we don't have hard water. Would never buy ariston again – Washed ok, however when just out of warranty the pressure switch and flow meter faulted. (Wash and end lights flashed and would not take in water). After paying large sum to have it fixed and parts taking 6 months to arrive I now have the same fault 3 months later. The ariston electrician who fixed it can't tell me if there is parts warranty and I… Read more
would have to pay another inspection fee and any labour if the parts were deemed in warranty. Another repair would mean I've spent more then the dishwasher is worth! Very disappointed!

Never cleaned right from the first wash – I would never buy another Ariston dish washer again. Disappointed from day one. Doesn't finish the wash and only cleans the bottom rack and not that well. Most times the soap dispenser does't open. I usually have to towel dry the dishes and always the knives and folks. Not happy with this dishwasher at all.

Unreliable – I have really disappointed with this machine. We bought it in 2011 and we soon needed to get the electronics replaced. We've since had it repaired a number of times and I've just given up now. It doesn't do a greater job cleaning. I had to put plates in every second rack so they would come out clean. The stacking system doesn't allow for very efficient packing. I just couldn't recommend an Ariston based on our recent experience.

0% satisfaction – Just bought it, delivered after a week. The installer put it in rapid wash...it never finished the wash and we cannot use it up to now. I went to Harvey Norman, they rang Ariston to arrange service. Ariston said someone will ring within 24 hours, now it's more than two days....waiting, waiting...no one rang. Totally not happy with the service and with the machine! Hope someone will ring me soon and replace it.

550.00 – Someone mentioned they purchased Ariston dishwasher for 550.00. Can you tell me where did you buy it for 550.00, because harvey norman and domain sells it for $799.00 . Are you still happy with the dishwasher? Is it easy to install do i need plumber to install it. thank you.
no frills, good value – Bought this about a month ago and love it. Very easy to install and operate. Was going to buy the white model as i don't like the way ssteel marks. Then i saw the ssteel model with anti mark coating which looked so much better so i bought it and marks don't show! Very basic programs but that's what i wanted. Very quiet and washes well.
Bit disapointed – Have had our dishwasher for 20 months now and it has stopped working.Warranty repairer called 3 weeks ago and said the board was stuffed and he would have to order new parts .Still waiting..Have called Ariston and repairer to no avail and I think 3 weeks is a bit long. However, the dishwasher seemed to work well and I was very satisfied with its… Read more
performance when it was working..I am not too happy about the after sales service though.Hope it gets fixed soon.Customer service said they would ring back, but they haven't yet.2 years is a good warranty period but.
Quiet and sparkling result but – First time I have ever used a dishwasher. I was surprised to find glasses and plates came out so clean and sparkling. It was also very quiet as I had to put my ear to it to see if it was running. The only problem I found was a silver teaspoon and tablespoon came out with what appeared to be a 'gold' tarnished appearance which had never… Read more
happened with normal washing by hand in the sink.
The same problem happened with each wash of the silverware in the dishwasher. This tarnished look seemed to disappear after normal hand washing.
A stainless steel surgical kitchen knife described as such by the print on the blade, ended the cycle with what appeared to be 'rust' on the blade and returned to normal with a simple hand washing.
Best dishwasher ever – We have purchased an Ariston LBF5B dishwasher some 6 weeks ago and it has performed the best out of all 4 dishwashers we have owned. Super quiet, very efficient and with the right amount of rinse aid, the dishes are dry on completion, provided a cool down time has been allowed. Would highly recommend this dishwasher and the warrantee is second to… Read more
none!! Taking the extended warrantee of 4 years gives the best 6 years service of any, on the market, given that if anything at all goes wrong, the dishwasher will be replaced thru the retail outlet from which you purchased the unit, once you have registered the fault thru Ariston and obtained a voucher for replacement.
Wouldn't buy again – Does not dry inside of dishwasher. My old dishex was bone dry after a complete cycle. Top rack not well designed. Called service department re not drying well and said that is the way it is!
Very happy with it, dishes are always sparkling – Once I worked out which cycle was suitable for our dishes I am very pleased with the dishwasher, the dishes always come out dry
Does the job instead of handwashing! – A simple dishwasher that does the job. As usual, dishes are slightly damp unless you open the door after the cycle has finished. The wash cycles are long but the dishwasher is fairly quiet.
