Pros: excellent and so easy to use
Cons: nil
Overall: Set up was easy, I have the esam6600 model as well in the alfresco, but wanted something more compact for the kitchen. This model fits perfectly. Have read some complaints about coffee not being hot enough. I set the temp to high and coffee is certainly hot enough, no complants here.
I also have a Nesptesso delonghi citiz in the bedroom which is also good, but the pods are so expensive. I worked it out over a period of 12 months at 4 coffees a day using the prima donna with beans against the Nespresso I will save over 1k a year, so over 3 years the savings on coffee against the pods pays for the machine.

Recommend you take up the extended warranty.

Pros: Looks great, slim profile, love the milk container able to be placed in the 'fridge.
Cons: Coffee warm only. Volumes awkward for my cups.
Overall: Cappucino's just so luke warmish, like my coffee HOT. And yes, have raised temp as high as allowed. Annoyed that I cannot adjust the volume / amount of milk etc. Hope it gets better, but at present, feel it was a waste of money.

Pros: Great finish, well priced, ability to deliver milk and allow you to manually froth, great temp of the final product, good coffee delivery
Cons: Front drip tray could spill over if not careful
Overall: Live the machine overall, it's quite narrow compared to others, and it looks awesome. The touch buttons are sensational and really leave you feeling that the money you've outlayed is justified. We were after an all in one unit, and for the fact that this unit will allow you to froth yourself, or do it for you, is a great feature!

We got our unit from HN, and took out the 3 year "care" warranty. The advantage to this, is that they will replace the part/machine on the spot, so you don't have to wait for a lengthy repair time from delonghi. This cost us $200, so we felt it was a worthwhile investment in our sanity, just in case.

I was really worried that no machine could live up to the EM6900 from sunbeam, but I'm happy to say that is has exceeded all our expectations.

Pros: Stylish, ease of use, good range of customizable options, freebies offered by DeLonghi via redemption
Cons: Quite pricey, always seems to need the water tank filled when I am making coffees, milk just not hot enough, can have inconsistent pours in terms of the amount of milk dispensed even after customization
Overall: I have owned the DeLonghi Primadonna S Deluxe for a few months now and I would have to say, overall, I am very satisfied with the results.

The machine is quite easy to clean (the small amount of components you actually have to clean is pleasing for the lazy types... like me).

It has a good range of buttons and options to customize, as you would expect from a machine that is worth around $2,500. It is very easy to use and most people will be able to pick it up quite quickly.

The only thing I am not really happy about is the temperature of the milk. The espresso shot is very good, this temperature is set within the machine and I like my coffees hot, but the milk is a disappointment.

If you like your coffee hot then be prepared to microwave the end product in order to get it to the temperature you want. If you don't it is barely warm enough for us types that like a hot coffee. However, if you don't like your coffee too hot, then this machine may just be perfect for you.

Pros: Easy and quick. Its hot enough and has a full indicator for the drip tray. Looks good.
Cons: A fair bit of money to out lay but most automatic machines are expensive. For spoilt people only.
Overall: My lovely wife and I agreed that I deserve a good quality coffee machine. After lots of window shopping and research, we found an overwelming range of fully automatic machines and we eventually chose this one. The RRP was $2499 and we beat them down to a stingy $1820! I am no expert on coffee but I know when it tastes good and this certainly makes a nice coffee. The machine has loads of features and is very easy to use. Just turn it on and press a button and 2 minutes and 20 seconds later its finished. The DVD is is simple to follow. The first night I was bouncing off the walls!

The sales people at Joyce Mayne had good product knowledge and were very helpful. Harvey Norman were useless, dopey and unfriendly. Make sure you do your research and bargain hard, It pays to shop around.

Pros: Good range of weak to strong flavours, impressed with the two-tone colouring on lattes.
Cons: Expensive considering the apathetic customer/ warranty service that comes along with it.
Overall: We have this machine at work. I'm new in admin, but old in hospitality, and the finished product when making coffees with the Primadonna S Deluxe is quite good.

Using it is easy. Cleaning it is easy. Changing the type and strength of your coffee is easy. And the coffee(dependant on your bean knowledge) is yummo. Good colour in the result, if a little too much crema, but it's as though the whole coffee-making process and keeping your machine clean process has been super simplified for people who just don't have time to mess about in the morning.

BUT,

If you get an error message on the screen and need to refer to the instruction DVD, things become less easy.

The machine we have is 1 month old, and if it weren't for the ever-present 'Insert Infuser Assembly' message, it'd still be tops. Unfortunately the instruction DVD doesn't explain away these messages in a way that actually fixes it. Yes, my coffee machine is clean, yes I have used the little brush to get rid of any rogue grounds.

I called the outlet that sold us the machine. They couldn't replace it without a reference number from DeLonghi. So I called DeLonghi, who wouldn't replace it(under warranty) until it's been looked at by their registered service company. So I called the service company, who can only give me a 7 working day estimate to get it looked at. And if it's that the machine is temperamental (which it is) then we're going to foot the bill.

This is the first time I've had a problem which is only 'sometimes' present and with a product which is still under warranty, so I don't know if this is a standard operating procedure for this sort of thing.

All I know is my office workers are too dependant on coffee-on tap to go without a machine while it's being fixed for a week, so I'll keep scouring the net for useful (no, turning the hex screws doesn't do anything) tips on what I can do to rid myself off the IIA message.
