Cons: Turns off every 5 to 10 seconds of operation, making it really frustrating to use. Do not buy this machine.
Overall: The DC35 I bought 2 years ago has always cut out every 5 to 10 seconds of operation making it really frustrating to use. I live in Tasmania and there is no service here, so had to package it up and send to Sydney.
5 weeks latter it returned missing half the parts I sent with it, and it was still exactly the same. Got the missing parts back, but no joy with the operation of this machine.
Don't buy this.
Waste of money!!!
Overall: This thing is magic,It's light, fast recharging and very easy to manoevre around furniture and under beds. For saying it runs off a battery it's quite powerful. Hate to admit this but it's a pleaseure to vacuum my floor now. I will never go back to a vac cleaner wih a power cord. It need a trigger lock. that's the only downside. an aching finger. Dyson should retorfit this onto all of them for a small cost
Overall: This dyson vacuum cleaner will change the way you clean your house. I used to own a corded and heavy vacuum that would trundle behind me and flip over at the slightest bump of a piece of furniture, the hose would twist and clog and the bags were a pain to change. This dyson is so easy and light and I would recommend for everyone.
Overall: I am very happy for this machine. We are using it to have one of those vacuum cleaners that had to be lugged around and plugged in to each room. It is cordless and light, so we can easily get it out to give the place a quick clean before anyone comes to visit. Its also great for cleaning the car.
Unfortunately the cat is scared of it and thinks its an ghost from other space.
Pros: Suction and life of battery. After almost 2 years its still going strong! Love the fact it comes apart to clean almost all compartments
Cons: The clip for easy release emptying is a little dodgy, locking and preventing "easy empties".
Overall: Decided to upgrade after purchasing several other branded hand held stick vacs. Previous devices were great for the first few months but tended to loose suction and battery life after a short time. This dyson has been fantastic on both. Great continuous suction, long battery life, incredibly easy to move around furniture and simple to empty. Also love the attachments and variation.
Pros: Cordless, light, well designed, looks stylish, easy to empty the dust.
Cons: The trigger button has no lock position so you have to hold it down with your finger the whole time; this gets tiring after three rooms.

Unfortunately the dog is terrified of it and thinks its an evil cyborg from the future.

How do you empty it?

There is a red switch/lever you just push down and that makes the bottom of the barrel that collects all the dust and dirt pop open. The dust and dirt then just falls out. It's that simple.
It has a pull down lever. Very easy. It opens the bottom of the container, and the rubbish comes easily out. It is very ergonomic, and everything fits together beautifully.
