Cons: Short life, noisy, violently shakes when spinning
Overall: I bought an Electrolux washing machine thinking I had wisely invested in a machine that would last a long time. Both the Good Guys and Bing Lee said that apart from Bosch and ASKO these machines were the dux nuts. I was happy for the first 2 months or so as it seemed to wash clothes well. At not even 3 months old it began making loud noises and violently rattling (despite being correctly levelled) when on spin cycle.
Anyway, today it has finally given up (Just over 10 years old). The drum couldn't even spin a wet towel and has completely stopped spinning. I am left with a washing machine full of wet washing that I now have to hand wash and $800 out of pocket. I seriously thought that I'd get at least 5 years out of the machine.
I have contacted Electrolux (the operator I spoke to was abrupt and said "If we find that you didn't cause damage to the product, and that it is a manufacturer fault, we will cover the costs to fix it". I feel ripped off. I also bought an Electrolux fridge and vacuum cleaner (I hope they don't break down).
Never again will I purchase or recommend this garbage.

Cons: lots of issues: breaks down just pass warranty period.
Overall: Pass the one year warranty period, screen stopped working. we still continue using it- it was still doing the cycles but we had no idea what stage of the process it was. Recently (Just pass the 3 years mark)it stopped spinning- not functional anymore. I have read some feedback about the products and it seems to be happening to quite a few people. I will see how this enfolds with Marina else I will take the issue to the ombudsman office. This should not happen to anyone else anymore. I will keep all the readers posted on the matter. If there are so many problems with that model it should be recalled.

Overall: Unlike many others mine has died just inside the warranty period. The machine will take in water but that's about it.
We bought the machine because it was supposed to be better quality but this is obviously not the case.
It has done a lot of work, our's being a family of nine, and washing nappies instead of disposables so it would have averaged three loads a day.
It has been very efficient with both water and detergent. Our water is very soft so we only use a third to half the recommended powder with great results.
Seeing that so may have reported death of their machine just beyond the two year warranty, I suspect that there is either a glitch with the electronics or it's a case of planned obsolescence. I trust Electrolux to have higher corporate morals than to stoop to the latter.
Meanwhile we have a weekend's washing piled high on the laundry floor!
Overall: First front loader ever bought and never disappointed. Delivered on both energy saving and water saving and so quiet I often forgot I got washing on! (Until the final spin cycle starts or when it beeps at the end).
I'm not sure why other reviewers had so much problems, but it's been two years and it's still working happily. The cotton spin cycle can be quite hard on the fabric, so have kept most washing in 'Delicates' setting. Cotton setting (longest setting) can get around 2-3 hours, so delay setting is very convenient to set up washing to finish as I wake up or arrive home.
Cons: Not functioning, no error code, bad washing quality
Overall: The machine was ok, the washing quality was between low to average... after two years it has now stop functioning...when i turn it on, it takes water however it doesn't spin.. it is sitting like a dead pie.. i have spent around $200 after technicians but they are clue less.. they asked me to change the display circuit which will cost around $500 plus GSP plus fittings etc... dont know what to do... do not buy any electrolux products...

Overall: The machine worked perfectly for 2 years and 2 months. We went on holidays for 3 weeks and the machine has not worked properly since. It does not start and beeps flashing red 11 times. Occasionally it puts the selected program up but won't start. It beeps and carries on for a half an hour or so and then it might just start and wash normally.
The program error displayed is EH1. I have cleared the pump and cleaned the inlet filter, run the descale program, and none of that improves the situation.
It seems this is a common fault.
I have an extended warranty.
