My Clothes Smell Horrendous – My mum purchased this dryer for me 2 months ago. My clothes come out smelling like cat urine every time??? The dryer screeches and squeals and there is lint everywhere even though I empty the filter after each load. I really would like a refund if possible??? It was purchased from Harvey Norman in Kingston Tasmania.  Show details

Phenomenally slow & loud – Had this dryer for years now. It is a very simple dryer & it is progressively getting worse with age. It takes on average 3 hours to dry anything (towels take forever) & it is ridiculously loud. It’s only saving grace was it was cheap when bought & has lasted longer than expected. Actually wish it would die so we could get a better one. Show details

Do not purchaser this dryer – Purchased this dryer back in 2020. It worked for about a month before it completely stopped working and wouldn't turn on. It took about 3 months or the company to try to repair it and another 2 months for them to replace it. About 5 months after unboxing the brand new replacement dryer, it stopped heating and would only blow cold air. The company… Read more

Amazing dryer! – I have owned this dryer for about 4 years now and it never fails to dry my clothes thoroughly. I was hesitant at first to purchase it thinking because it was cheap that it would not last. Thankfully this proved not to be true. The dryer is simple to use with a number of drying options. Great economical dyer – We purchased this as a second dryer for the winter months when clothes take a bit longer to dry. We use it sparingly but it works great and is so cheap to purchase. The price was the main reason we purchased it, but it just works. Doesnt have all the features that you might get from more expensive ones, but if you want to dry clothes it does what it should.  Show details ·  1

Horrible dryer – This is the worst dryer I have ever owned. Bought it about 5 months ago. It does not dry the cloths. When I put a small load in of about 10-15 items it takes 2-2.5 to dry. Its ridiculous. Its only 2 star so It costs us $200 more a quarter in electricity to dry my families cloths during winter season. Do not buy it! Show details

Not bad, got us through Melbourne winter – This is a cheap and basic clothes dryer but it did the job and got us through a freezing Melbourne winter no problems at all. It's built quite light (easy to pick up). What I like about it is the capacity - its rated at 6kg so that means it can take a whole load straight out of the washer. Not the most luxurious but does the job fine.  Show details

delivered- plugged in and turned on and began to bang with every spin- apparently drum not screwed in properly. Euromaid was contacted 2 hours after delivery of the replacement unit. It took over a month to get our money back!

Meets My Needs – Happy with this dryer. It was cheap and it works well. It has a decent sized capacity (6kg) and I can dump the washing straight from the machine into the dryer. Great, and cheap too – I bought the cheapest one i could find in the 6kg category and wasn't disappointed. Think i paid around $340 from appliances online. That price included delivery too. Can not fault the thing. Sometimes the cheapest products are no worse than the dearer ones. By the time i would have paid for the old one to be fixed, it would't work out to be much more buying this new one.  Show details ·  1

Very Happy With This Model – I particularly needed a front vented dryer so this, although dearer , was a good choice for me. Squeaking belts during operation – The machine was purchased from Joyce Mayne just three weeks ago and has been used just three times. While the actual operation seems fine and efficient there is a persistent belt squeak during one particular rotation cycle. Sounds like a belt is out of alignment. Truly terrible and unusable/dangerous after less than 2 years – I hated this dryer from the day we brought it home. Even when you empty the lint filter every load, it still makes an enormous mess, blowing lint all over laundry. Less that 2 years after purchase it made horrible noise and began spraying lots of little bits of plastic out of filter. Very efficient, great price, a bit loud – I purchased my euromaid DE6KG dryer from appliances online after many hours of research. They delivered and Installed it with no dramas - great service. Have also noticed the lint filter goes in on an angle - must be so it won't fall out if you wall mount with controls at the bottom. Spins both ways if you select crease control which I think makes it dry quicker also.

Love it – This is a great little dryer. I had never owned a dryer before and did a lot of research before choosing one within my budget. This has done a great job with no problems. I had read that the lint filter can be hard to remove and put back but I find it very easy to use and clean. A bit loud, but very efficient & powerful – This dryer is massive, with a 6kg capacity that's capable of handling a full load of washing from our machine. It's a little on the noisy side, but it makes up for that by being able to dry things thoroughly & quickly due to its high temperatures, although this is variable if you're drying delicate items. are a pleasure to operate, & it's very communicative, beeping when it's finished to let you know your washing is dry. The only problem is, if you open the door & walk away, it will remind you it's still on by beeping, which can be a little annoying initially until you're used to it. It has variable heat & cycle times, a setting for permanent press items, & changes the direction in which it rotates periodically, to agitate & reorganise items to ensure they dry evenly. The lint filter is different, & is located just inside the door, making it easy to access which is good because it must be emptied every load as it gets full pretty rapidly. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this appliance, & find it very good at performing its job when I need it to.

Dries clothes reasonably well, but very noisy & started to malfunction after 4 months – I read numerous reviews when I was looking to purchase & ended up settling on the Euromaid DE6KG for our needs and budget at the time. good job of drying our clothes - no shrinkage or other problems with thanks to being able to adjust the temperature. Drying time was LONG - no real 'quick' setting.

Unfortunately, after about four months the dryer started making even louder and stranger sounds and grinding noises - something was definitely not right. We contacted the service department and they sent someone out to look at it. They said they would need to order a part in. We didn't hear anything again for about two weeks so my husband rang them - they got back to him to say that they have ordered the part. We heard again from them about a week later to say that the part is on its way but it won't be repaired until mid-July. So we are looking at about 6 weeks from reporting to repair.

Disappointed with our purchase & wouldn't recommend this one.

Disaster Purchase - so noisy and constant lint mess – I have had this machine since August 2015 - we had to wall mount it due to space restrictions. It is so noisy my neighbours can even hear it. amount of lint into the laundry which I regularly have to vacuum off the walls.

The noise and the lint are the worst I have experienced. Our last dryer was an electrolux and it stopped heating after 12 months!

Need another brand recommendation as we don't seem to be having any luck. We won't be using Euromaid/ Electrolux again.

October 27th 2017 Update: So Disappointing! Do Not Buy Disaster Purchase!!

Bought August 2015

Horrible noisy machine with ridiculous production of lint that gets blown out into laundry (need to vacuum walls constantly).

Does not operate well wall mounted even if installed by professionals even if soundproofing rubber placed under wall mount stoppers! Complained in January this year on this site and never got a response from Euromaid customer service.

Sound was so loud literally sounded like an aeroplane taking off.

Eventually since early Oct this year it has also developed a loud squeal - I had to stop using it as believed it was a fire risk!

Just bought new Fisher Parkel 6kg Wall mounted dryer - such a breath of fresh air to have an appliance that actually does the job seamlessly as it is supposed to do.

Guy who installed new dryer said ‘old’ Euromaid dryer was fit for nothing more than the dump - he agreed it sounded terrible!

This machine obviously has problems as there are many similar complaints on this site.

WAS GIVEN FALSE INFORMATION ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASSION – Hi there We bought this 6kg Euro unit from SA Appliances in Adelaide, South Australia a little under two years ago. When we bought the unit the sales guy went through his pitch and advised that we could set it up as a rear vent. The floor model and the catalogue all said rear vent. This was important as we only had the option for a rear vent… Read more

unit.

When we got the unit back and discovered that it was actually a front vent only, we immediately called SA Appliances. SA Appliances first said they would never have said that and then the second time we rang, they directed us back to the manufacturer.

You're response to us, was that the unit was never a rear vent and to go back to the reseller, which we again did. The reseller then admitted that the manufacture, being you, had made an error on the catalogue.

So we called you guys back and you denied the fact again.

In the end we have had to use the unit and it blows dust and fluff from the front into the closed room. My wife tolerated this for around eight months before we eventually bought another new unit. We still have the Euro unit and all reciepts and paperwork.

However, TODAY, after reading this review site, I see that you have admitted to the error in you're brochure as was first suggested.

Please provide me with a contact point to discuss this matter in the first instance.

Thank you

D Kennedy

Basic Dryer – I have a small space in my laundry so my choice of dryer was limited to what would fit. I had to mount it upside down, which is fine by me. It's a thick sticker with buttons built into it and little clear holes in it so that you can… Read more

see the indication lights through it. Very handy. The only trouble is, it's extremely sticky and you only get ONE shot at applying it and it would take an above average skill to apply it perfectly into place in one go. And I didn't manage. I put it on just a little crooked and somehow I managed to get air trapped behind it. It looked pretty bad so I tried to ease it back off and it just started to peel really badly and it just got worse and worse as I dug myself into a hole. So, I decided to just rip the sticker off and chuck it and order a new sticker. The sticker has a part number and everything. Long story short, $80 for the sticker plus $20 postage. $100, for a sticker. That's what, like, a fifth of the price of the whole entire appliance? So, I have no sticker and my control panel info is all permanently upside down.

So that's my warning. If you buy one of these dryers please be aware that if you want to mount it upside down and you want your control panel to be the right way up you will only get one shot at putting that sticker on so do it very carefully and patiently.

Other than that the dryer is OK.
