Fisher price capsule – This capsule is absolutely awesome was told and hear that this was a rebadged safe and sound unity, and it definitely is 100%. I had been looking around for quite some Time for cheaper option then the unity as wanted to use a travel system with my pram that I bought which is a valco spark.. Have also some then discovered that the hipod capsule… Read more
is also exact model as unit just different badge and different fabric cover just minus the high ticket price. Price, ease of transfer bub from car to pram sun hood Cover can slip off towards font a little bit not to bad
Terrible – All in all very frustraing to use and felt unsafe much of the time. Wouldn't ever use it again capsule can be removed from base, has handy sunshade seatbelt constantly gets twisted, so that it cannot be tightened, which leaves it loose on baby and therefore unsafe, capsule is quite deep so baby can get very hot in capsule when sunshade is on, when… Read more
capsule is removed from base to carry baby around, baby is tipped very far forward, so it feels that he'll easily fall out
Best purchase! – I have the Fisher Price capsule and stroller travel system. As a set, they are wonderful. I'm so pleased I purchased a travel system, as there have been too many occasions where I'd arrive somewhere and bubs would be sleeping in the car. With a capsule, transporting them is a breeze. Easy to install in car, excellent price, not too heavy to carry,… Read more
easy to adjust straps, baby is comfortable, liner removable for washing, place to hang toys to entertain baby, sun hood, gender neutral colours Sometimes the liner would slip off one part of the frame on the back of the capsule. It didn't make a difference functionally, it just annoyed me because the styrfoam padding underneath would show. If ventilation hood was not left open baby's head would get too warm.
Very handy for baby! – I only got this for my son when he was 3.5 months old. I wanted the option of being able to take him out the car sleeping so still went ahead with a capsule instead of a car seat. I love it, so handy when you have a newborn or are making several short trips in and out the car. I will definately be using capsules with all my future children. You… Read more
can buy the stroller that it can click in to, or you can just hook it on the trolley. My son is 4 months old and about 8kg and fits comfortably in it, I hope to leave him in it until he's 12kg Portable, easy to use, up to 12kg, shoulder pads, compatible with some prams, easy to fit to car Expensive, no insert for baby, base is a bit wobbly, really heavy with baby in it
Very handy Capsule! – We used this capsule for our first born in conjunction with the Fisher Price 3 wheel jogger pram and loved it. It was great being able to go shopping without disturbing our boy and espeially loved being able to put him into it inside as we live in a colder climate, it meant we could get him to the car without getting too cold! I loved that it was… Read more
suitable til 12kgs, even though we had to take out our boy at 7 months as he was too big in size for it. Cheap - we got it on sale for $199, so easy to use as a travel system. Great neutral colours and VERY generous hood size. Become very heavy with a big bub in it.
Excellent – This is THE capsule to own. Most on the market only last til 9kg. You will get much more use out of this. I bought it on Special for $199. Have used it for 3 babies as I have 3 under 3.So easy to click it in and out.Couldnt have lived without it. So easy to remove straps (harness) in the event of an accident. Just unthread it of the metal hook… Read more
(yoke) on the back pull the metal rectangle clips thtough the base! Takes no more that 2 mins to strip it for a wash. Washes very well. People say that at 8 or 9 kg,their baby is too big for it? Well, the weight limit is 12kg. I had my baby in it for 15 months. Rearward face baby as LONG as possible to avoid internal AND external decapitation in an accident, please!!!! Even then,he still fit fine. Absolutely nothing!! Best purchase I have made for my babies.
Excellent – Overall i think its the best thing ive ever bought, it has gone through 3 children and still looks great. I love it and would recommend to everyone , Many times my 2 children have fallen asleep in it, and i took it from the car safe and sound they where sleeping even into the house. Great capsule , I have used it for 2 children and have also lent… Read more
it to my sister in law and its still in perfect condition. And will be using it again soon for my 3rd. I have the matching 3wheeler also that i use with it, its a easy from the car in the capsule to the pram. A bit bulky when holding it besides that perfect.
Good – I have loved this capsule, it is comfortable and safe. We also have the Fisher Price Layback stroller which made it incredibly useful when making quick trips into shops etc you do not need to wait for him to sleep or wake the baby to get on with things. Very handy with a newborn! The stroller is not great though, I wouldn't want it to be my only… Read more
pram.
My son is now nearing 6 months (70cm / 8kg) and I can no longer carry anything else with it occupied as it needs 2 hands and I now tend to leave it and just pick him up unless he is asleep. Also the weight limit seems excessive for the size, my son only has about 5cm above his head now so it is very unlikely he will make the weight limit.
I would also prefer a set-up where I didn't have to put the tether strap around the car seat every time it goes in the car, when very rushed or tired my husband and I have both forgotten this at times, it terrified me when that happened, while that is our fault, it would be better if the design was simpler.
Overall I think it was the right buy for us and I would recommend it. There are more travel systems available now, but it is good to have one that has lasted slightly longer than those rated to 9kg. It is also a great deal considering this and the Unity are both produced by Britax and the differences are negligible, but this is frequently available much cheaper. Comfortable for baby and invaluable as part of a travel system. Especially when he was young I loved it. I have always felt my son was 100% safe in this capsule. It is very heavy and it is fiddly to put into the car. We also needed to purchase the head hugger separately where the version branded as the Unity has this included. I wish it had compatibility with better prams and strollers.
Excellent – Love It...Have recommeded it to many a person and have been approached by so many in shops etc asking where i purchased it. And am alsways to happy to let them know cause when you find a great product you just want to share it with other mums so they can enjoy it too. Everything, its convenient and easy to use. And even better its easy to clean. … Read more
ighly recommended. I also have the matching pram - the 2 together is a love made in heaven. The capsule does not make the pram heavy to push and been a 3 wheeler pram its just perfect ;o)
Excellent – Overall this capsule was a must buy for any new parent, easy to manouvre, comfortable, and reasonably priced compared to other brands and even to hire. This capsuleis best purchase we have made for our child! It is light and comfortable, a dark colour so easy to keep clean. Easy to unclick out of holder and was great to take out to rest on ground… Read more
at cafe and friends houses when baby was asleep. The only con with this is we had to have the front seat that it sits behind all the way forward as it was quite long but this didn't affect us too much as there usually wasn't anyone in the front seat.
Excellent – Having a baby capsule that was compatible with a stroller has been great with a newborn. Baby now 8.5kg and getting way too big for the capsule, we have graduated to a car seat. the ease at which you can transfer without disturbing the baby is SENSATIONAL! Only issue has been with the fisher price pram itself - 3 wheels is not ideal and I will be… Read more
purchasing a 4 wheel option for the next one. I LOVE THE CAPSULE THOUGH! Price. It was easy to get in and out of the car - easy to switch between cars quickly (unlike most child seats as we have since discovered!) Sensational for early days and longer trips. Sturdy, safe, cosy, mega practical! Great when combined as part of the "Travel System" (capsule, stroller) Straps twisted easily, but not a huge drama. Of course as baby gets heavier so too does the capsule! Not a product issue :-)
Excellent – I used this to when my daughter turned 1 as you can use up to 12kg in weight. Is great to lift in and out of the car and I have the FP 3 wheel stroller too which it fits onto. Is a reasonable price from Target (especially if on special). My daughter always fell asleep in it so must have been very comfy, and then no need to wake her when I… Read more
arrived where I wanted. I can't see any issue with baby 'tipping forward' when taking out of the car as the seat is sloping backward and they are strapped in securely! Also, yes, the straps can twist, but no different from any other car seat (I have an older daughter and have found this with 3 different other car seats - all of different brands). You just have to make sure that they are straightened before you put baby in so you can tighten them properly. A great seat and I would strongly recommend! Can lift out car and attach to Fisher Price 3 wheel stroller; reasonable price; easy to use; comfortable for baby; sun shade is great.
Excellent – I loved this capsule and so did my baby. The simple fact that you didnt have to disturb baby from her comfy slumber is a huge plus. There is also a stroller and buggy that can be purchased to create a travel system. Very roomy for my larger bub. It has a higher weight capacity so you can keep bub in it for longer. It feels very safe and cosy and… Read more
clips into the base firmly. The sunshade is great for in and out of the car. My baby loved the rocking feature and it was like a mini bassinet when we were out and she became unsettled. The straps do get twisted but no biggy.

Excellent – Fabulous, great value for money. A great way to get a Britax seat less expensively. I love the sun shade and it clips onto my Steelcraft 3 wheeler perfectly so I didn't even need to buy the Fisher Price pram. It is made by Britax who make Safe'n'Sound and is the exact same seat as the more expensive Unity. It is light and can hold my baby till he is 12kg.
Excellent – I love this capsule and so does my bub, he always falls asleep in it and found it was fantastic for days when he was a little colicky, I would just pop him in and rock him, he'd fall asleep. Great to take bub places and not have to wake him to get him out of the car. Very happy with this purchase, great value. Easily clips into the base, easy to… Read more
get in and out of the car, baby is safe and secure. Weight limit higher than other capsules, also seems a little more roomy than others. Can be used as a rocker.
Excellent – I love this capsule! It fits easily onto the backseat of my 2006 Suzuki Swift (very small car) and the front seat only has to be moved forward slightly to accommodate it! If you buy it on sale at Target it is a bargain! Easily clips into the base, feels very safe as the sides are quite high and padded, adjustable harness is easy to use, the… Read more
sunshade is fantastic for sunny days but also when its windy to protect bub from the cold air! The colours are great as well - looks nice and modern! Fits very easily into the fisher price pram to form a travel system! The straps do tend to get twisted which is annoying but its easily fixed! It also would be nice to somehow have something attached to the capsule to hold the straps out of the way when you are putting bub into it.
