I love this machine! – After having this for over 10yrs I'd have to say it's the best kitchen aid ever. I use it a lot. Slice, grate, juice, not so much the mixing side of things though. I find the mixing doesn't get out to the edges enough and is a bit flimsy but it works. You have to open it up all the time and push sides down with spatula. I'd use a hand mixer I've… Read more
this but for the slicing, grating and juicing lemons and oranges omg it is amazing. I've recently done over 80 lemons in one hit and it powered through them. Overall, I love it!
leaking blender – Blender buttom leaks. Really a Piece of garbage. Smootie or milkshake always leaks into the engene. Will newer buy kenwood again. Total Waste of money. There is a rubber gasket i the buttom of the blender bowl. It always loosens up while blending. Terrible construction. If it was fixated clockvise instead of country clockvise then it would have worked. Now it des not. Don't buy. Show details
Missing my Braun Combimax! – I made a big mistake replacing my 15 year old Braun Combimax, that was still in good working order, with a Multipro Excel a year ago. I expected it would be better, given the price and advances in technology - I was wrong! I purchased at Harvey Norman and they gave me a printout of the juicer attachment to buy online, which I subsequently… Read more
purchased. Problem is, it does not go with the Excel and there is no juicer that does.
Reasons why my old machine was better and I will never buy a Kenwood again:
- it never broke in 15 years and was still in perfect working order when I ditched it for this rubbish
- it had a juicer
- Kenwood has 2 broken parts in 1 year
- the small bowl was actually small and sealed in the big bowl with no spillage into the big bowl that meant the whole thing needed cleaning like the Kenwood does
- the grater attachments produced a better size - Kenwood that is not really a large grater
- the shoot was just the right size - the small chute on Kenwood is far too small
- the engagement point on the chute is lower so effectively you get less food in there
Does the job! – I'm quit happy with My Kenwood Multipro (Would like a chip slicer attachment), but otherwise it works great! I also like the shape and design of the base unit.
More Kenwood Stuff! – We hardly used this one had it for some time wife was blending something, first there was plastic burning smell and boom it blew up. Just opened and checked inside plastic wire traps near the coils were melted whole thing was black and that was it.
Never paid for such a useless piece of rubbish! – I will never, ever buy Kenwood anything ever again. My first motor blew up because the blender unscrewed itself whilst making a milkshake and dropped the entire contents down its middle. The retailer took it back and explained that the plastic jug is not really heavy enough to keep it stable. I used the replacement food processor which worked… Read more
fine, although it did have a weird plastic burning smell when first used. Then the kids asked for a milkshake. I checked the bottom was screwed in tightly, popped in the milk and some ice cream and exactly the same thing happened! The contents leaked out of the jug and all over the motor. Despite cleaning and drying it straight away, the motor died. Crikey! A milkshake killed it! Cannot afford to replace it at the moment but when I do, it will not be with a Kenwood! Buy at your own peril.
Kenwood Boyfriend – I love my Kenwood FP250 so much, I dumped my boyfriend. I have read some of the other reviews here and I wonder how many great reviews could have been written but haven't been because people are busy making awesome food with their friends and with their Kenwood FP250 Boyfriend. So juice, constantly, have used it to mince checken cubes, chop… Read more · 1
veggies and make pizza dough to name some of the handy little tricks my boyfriend learnt before he can to live with me. Seriously, go buy it! Don't listen to these bad reviews from people who obviously haven't been using their boyfriend to his full potential!
It would be great if all his extras cam in a handy storage box
Motor burn easily – I have burnt my second Kenwood FP250 whipping 6 egg whites. The first processor was replaced on warranty due to the same motor problem a couple of weeks after purchasing. This one lived long enough to pass the end of warranty. Enough is enough, I will look to buy another brand/model. Good usability. Motor is not durable.
I love it so much – Definitely buy this machine. It is great value for money too. It comes with three blades, plus the standard food processor blade, a dough mixer, a rotating arm egg beater and a blender! This machine can do everything. You can make pastries, doughs, icing, soups, pizzas, cakes, everything... I have already recommended this to another friend… Read more
and she loves it too. reliable, inexpensive, versatile Not very big. Probably not best if you want to cook for a massive family.
Great Food Processor – This is one of the best products I have ever redeemed with my Qantas Frequent Flyer points. I love how you can do so much with this processor: blends, juliennes (to different thickness), shreds, slices, pulses, has a dough blade and even juices citrus fruits. Easy to use, dismantle & clean. Many functions that are not redundant. Easy to use, more importantly, easy to clean.
Fussiest woman is very happy – I love this food processor/blender! Great design, love how little room it takes up on the benchtop, and has the blender in the one model. Love the little spatula as well. The blender does banana smoothies - beautifully! I had a 600w blender and it didn't chop the bananas much at all. This Kenwood works. I actually have played with… Read more · 1
recipes over the weekend just so I can use it to see how it works. And have gone out of my way to google Kenwood reviews - to sing my praises!
I made almond milk then used the dried almond meal to make fruit chews (using the processor to chop dried apricots - which it did with ease). Was so happy! I look forward to creating more things as I know they'll turn out perfect.
Well done Kenwood, thanks! It's compact, neat, requires smaller benchspace rather than bulky
a useful product – Finally upgraded our old food processor to a kenwood fp250. I did some research beforehand and kenwood appeared to be a good brand. This model does the trick quite well- everyday things like smoothies, pesto, cakes, fishcakes. It gives the impression that it is well designed and with reasonable quality. My only criticism: if only the plastics… Read more · 2
used for some of the parts could be sturdier/ or heavier - I wonder how long some of these essential parts will last over time...
Love it – This has the lot with 3 blades, each blade has 2 sides that do different things + a chopping blade, dough hook, whisks, juicer and blender. I mostly use the chopper and 2 of the 3 blades. The blades make lovely coleslaw and julienne vegetables. I've made cakes with the chopping blade and actually managed to make good dough with the hook. … Read more
Haven't used the juicer or blender yet but thought I might as well get a machine with the lot for future use. It works really well and easy to clean. Strong motor works well. No inbuilt storage for blades. I found it a bit confusing at first as to what each blade did so I'd end up grating instead of julienning, so had to make a note of which one to use i.e. the smooth side of the blade does julienne and the other rough side grates

Excellent – i'm confident i got the best machine for the money spent. an award-winning machine for sure. best food processor i've ever owned. this is a gutsy little machine - has met all my expectations (processing complete meals for dentally-challenged person; grating for soups/salads, and slicing beautifully) and just so easy to use. very stable - doesn't… Read more
dance around when doing its job. i bought (and returned after one use) a respected brand (breville) processor so researched these well by reading any reviews i could find on the internet worldwide, and checking out the retailers, before deciding on the fp250. no dislikes.
Ceased motor – I loved this functionality of this product. Till the motor ceased. It had a strange burning plastic smell when it ran from its first use. I emailed Kenwood immediately but never got a response. And within a few months the motor ceased up. The recommended repairer had it for a long time but I was happy when Kenwood replaced it with a whole new… Read more
unit. I've had the new one back for about 6 weeks now ...and tonight it ceased up as well ...blending roast eggplant and capsicum which I would have thought was not going to be a real challenge - but there you have it. Its a shame really because if it weren't for this problem I would give it a big thumbs up for my small family. Now I'm beginning to doubt the brand altogether. Compact and functional for a small family Ceased motors on two separate units
Excellent – I’ve had Kenwood recommended to me by many others as a sturdy manufacturer. Indeed, when I bought this food processor, I was replacing a Kenwood blender that someone gave me many years ago when I was a student. It literally looked like that was from the 70s, and it only just finally gave up the ghost! Very happy with this model This is my first… Read more
food processor and I couldn’t be happier. This machine performs fast, whether it be mixing, whipping, creaming, or blending. Has a 750w motor.
I’ve mainly used the stainless steel chopping blades, and the whisk attachment. I’ve made a few cheesecakes and sauces, which have turned out beautifully. There is a pulsing function, as well as other speeds. Many other attachments such as a dough tool, juicer, slicer, shredder.
The blender also performs well, and is interchangeable with the food processor, depending on which function you require. There is nothing I dislike about this machine
Good – On the whole very happy with this machine. It is small and compact; light enough to store in cubboard and bring out when needed; and very quite compared to some other similar machines that I listened to. I spent a lot of time looking for a foodprocess, I wanted one that was compact like the Whizz, but without the price tag. Lots of the other… Read more
models in the price range of this Kenwood do not have this fabulous compact size. Generrally I find that this Kenwood is perfect for my needs. (owned it for about 9mths) But sometimes I wish the bowl capacity was bigger, however as I don't use the food processor on a regular basis and I wanted a food processor that was light enough to move off the bench and store in the cubboard when not in use, I could not justify cost of a Whizz (or similar models), I would highly recommed this foodprocessor. Small and compact, reasonably quite (compared to others in this price range), very efficient, great for cutting up and processing foods, comes with lots of attachments including blender (never used it - so can't comment; has a funny mixmaster type attachment - which is actually very good for mixing cream. . Great value for money. No major faults or complaints; however a litle niggle is the bowl capacity is not very large. However you have to go up in price a fair bit to get a bigger capacity bowl and still retain the compact shape of this machine. My advice would be think about how you intent to use and your capacity needs and weigh up cost of buying a bigger machine. Another little niggle (but I think this applys to most food processers) they no longer come with different lids. My previous model had a flat lid and a feeder lid, which made it much easier to store.
Excellent – This unit is just right if you want something to use on a regular basis without going to the trouble of assembling lots of different bits and pieces. I love the fact that I can use this on a daily basis with quantities that suit us but are too small for the bigger models. It is powerful enough to do what we want and is a compact design which… Read more · 1
stays on the benchtop. It enables us to whip up things such as crusts for lamb cutlets or pesto on a regular basis which we previously didn't bother to do during the week. It makes a great burger really easily! I like the stainless steel colour which goes with our kitchen. It has really changed the way we cook when we get home after a day's work! We needed a slightly smaller model as there are just the 2 of us and we needed something that could accomodate fewer ingredients and still actually process them without spreading them all over the side of the bowl out of reach of the blade! But we wanted a proper processor rather than the handheld mixer attachments. We really only need it for day to day cooking so that you don't have to get out and fix up loads of different attchments all the time, as we knew we wouldn't bother. We now use the processor, jug and juicer on a regular basis and incorporate it into our daily lives. It is really easy to use, does a good job on things like sauces, crusts for meat and fish, pesto, burgers. I am never going to bake a cake with it or make bread dough with it, though it might be able to do this quite well. It looks good. The bowl and the jug are really easy to get on and off and so are the different choppers/attachments. The feet have suction pads which keep it still on the benchtop.
