Kenwood _ time to rethink sustainability in your product ranges – After the pleasure of unpacking what seemed like solid accessories that would last a life time, the main blade is dented, the lid has melted in use, and the motor burnt out. it is less than 3 years old. I now have a stack of unusable accessories, bring it on for the most non-sustainable product I have ever purchased.  Show details

I am happy with this product – I am satisfied with it's performance. I find it powerful enough for my usage. The capacity is good I can fit a fair bit in it, it's better than a lot of other similar products on the market. The attachments work fairly well with the processor, but there is room for improvement.  Show details

Piece of junk – Motor burned out 3yrs after purchase 11/2012 to 12/2015 and only occasional use. I also found blade did not have enough reach to sides or below. Worst part is that now I have a whole lot of accessories that are useless landfill - not even possible to reuse with another model. Wasteful. Never buy Kenwood again.

Motor burned out – Lasted only 3 years of very occasional usage. It is really crappy product. I have taken it apart and was surprised how tiny is the motor. No wonder why it died so quickly and was so loud. The motor is not the only weakness of it. The main cutting blade is positioned too high and to far form the edge of a ball to cut well. A part from the bottom of… Read more

my ball broke off with in the first month (The mixer would not turn on with out it). The juicer attachment is useless. I have given it 3 tries and all with negative results. The juicer attachment was jamming very quickly with oranges. It was faster to do it by hand

Perfect companion for my daily chopping and dough making – Perfect in speed and effectiveness. I had a shoulder pain and had a difficult time preparing dough for daily meals. With Kenwood, it is easy to make dough simple no stickiness and very easy to clean. I love to cook breads now and the size of the jug allows to chop and slice easily even if you need large quantities

Motor Issues – Good accessories and options with the blades and mixer attachments. I love the glass blender jug and the small glass multi mixer but I'm afraid all of that is useless when the motor burns out and you can't use it. My unit is probably about 2 years old (it has a 12 month warranty) and always had a slight 'burning motor' smell after prolonged use… Read more

but just in the last few uses the smell has become stronger with minimal usage, the motor is surging and leaving black dust all over my bench. I feel that motor burnout is imminent but either way the smell is so bad hubby has instructed me to get rid of it.

Promises so Much, Provides so Little – Purchased the Kenwood FPM270 system as a replacement for my trusty old Breville Blender thinking i could use a food processor, juicer, blender and all the bells and whistles the Kenwood came with. Purchased for over $249 from a reputable major retail outlet in Australia. First impression was it was good "Bang for your buck" with all the… Read more

inclusions. That was until i decided to use it. First use was the blender as i make a LOT of protein drinks. Protein powder, Ice, Milk, banana - Blend. Simple right?, Wrong! Protein powder sat underneath the blades untouched, banana was mashed admirably but ice was still in hard cold lumps. Back to the trusty old Breville blender after that. The machine sat in the cupboard unused for months as we moved house and had little time for its use. It was a few months until i got the machine out again to make a cheesecake base. Not much effort really to blend up buscuits and butter, a little muscle and rolling pin can do it so a food processor should make short work of it. I was alarmed by a slight burning plastic smell when using this but thought nothing of it other than burning off the dust it collected while sitting around unused. For a few months after that all the machine was used for was basic processing of buscuits, everything else sat there unused. Ii was given a breville juicer at the same time and never thought about using the juicer, it looked flimsy compared to the sole purpose juicer i was using.

Finally i come to the mill attachment. This is where the death of the machine started. My wife half filled the mill attachment with nuts to make protein/energy balls and within 5-6 seconds of the machine starting there was smoke pouring out of the machine. And i mean SMOKE! it was a terrible burning plastic smell and continued for 15-20 seconds after the machine was turned off. This suggests to me the actual machine was on fire. Smoke continued to pour out of the machine despite it being turned off. Due to something burning inside the motor seemed dead. Alas the machine is broken and now in the rubbish. Warranty was well and truey expired as the machine sat unused for 90% of it's life.

My review is summarised as this. The Kenwood Food Processor promises to be numerous kitchen appliances but fails when trying to process anything more than buscuits. I've since brought a Ninja Kitchen system and the Kenwood is in the bin!

What a load of rubbish – within 2 weeks of purchase , the mixing bowl has cracked , the the lid also has a crack in it where it engages with the safety lock out , so will surely break very soon. The Blender will not mix all contents without constantly pushing food to be processed down on to blades, or shaking the jug. The small herb grinder is much the same . The motor… Read more

smelt from day one , and after using for 5 consecutive mixes of soup , the motor expired completely . heaven knows what it would do if i tried to mix dough with it ... Then to cap it all i take it back to the supplier , a thought to be reputable shop, who tells me i have mistreated it and will not refund my purchase money . so much for Kenwood retailers

Good value for money! – I bought my processor nearly 3 years ago. Paid $100 for a machine that can do a lot in the kitchen. We was making cakes, chopping veg, mixing smoothies and lately I used it to make baby food. Works really well and saves buying many machines to do jobs. Recently the seal from blender snapped but that was due to my own mistake. Also the whisk… Read more

attachment broke cause I tried to mix hard cheese for cheesecake. Own fault.

Apart from that great product and definitely worth the money!

Useless piece of junk, only good was the glass blender – I bought this unit as a replacement for a few units loved the idea, 1 product could do the lot! Now I know this is an impossibility. 1st use the grater blade snapped, ok was replaced with out an issue - next tried on a variety of time to use the food processor - and as another write wrote, doesn't mix thing well enough. So I threw out the… Read more

fp bowl and attachments, keeping the juicer.

Today I tried the juicer, for fresh apple juice ..... Ha ha ha all over the bench and took me 10 minutes to get enough juice for one glass the unit will not stay in one place when juicing. Would have been fast for me to take a 10 minute drive to the shop to buy a carton of juice.

This has been the biggest waste of money, I am only glad that I didn't charity my old faithful Braun 20 years old. Function and variety Everything but the glass blender

3 years on and still love it – I got the Kenwood Multi Pro processor brand new as a Christmas gift 3 years ago. My favorite kitchen appliance by far. The set mine came with was the food processor, the glass blender, the juicer, the multi mill, and a fair few more accessories with it. Works fantastic, chops or purées everything nicely. The processor even dices raw chicken breast… Read more

up so fine that I use it as mince. Haven't had any problems with it and I've had it for three years. It's dishwasher safe which is a plus and easy to clean. I would buy from them again. Always does the job well The plastic scratches easily
