Wonderful, lasted for ages without issues.. Now needs resuscitation.. and well worth trying – I Have Loved this dryer for so long. I cant remember how long I've had it. Well over 10years at least. never a problem it was set and forget with a easy favorites setting, don't see that on new machines. Drier handled everything from delicates to bedding & blankets. Well yesterday the drive belt broke, I have just ordered a new one and will try to… Read more ·  1

fix it myself. Little Old Aussie lady let loose with you tube how-to videos,, Hope I can manage it as I will be sad to loose it. the weight might be my biggest problem as it is on top of my washer.. but it is well worth saving if possible. my only recommendation to the manufacturers if they read this is for future machines to be more accessible for belt repairs.

12 Years on and still working – I bought this in 2008 and still using it to date. It's doing it's job and I like the fact that it's a condenser dryer which works well for my laundry that doesn't have exhaust to the outside of the house. I also like that it can save your Favourite settings and I just always use that every time. My unit had issues, but I was able to fix them… Read more ·  1

myself: 1) 6 Years - the drum belt snapped. I bought a replacement one online and checked YouTube how to open this unit and was able to replace it with some tinkering. 2) 7 Years - the `Empty Water` light is triggered, but the catchment is not yet full. I fixed this by getting hair stuck somehow in the rubber tubes that drip water into the catchment. My previous experience opening it made it easy. 3) 12 Years - the lamp got busted. I was able to easily open the cover to check and will buy a replacement one in Bunnings.

I clean the filter every cycle, and also clean the condenser every 6-12 months. The condenser cleaning is important as I can see the unit either overheating or probably flooding if it gets blocked by lint.

Overall, quite happy with the unit.

Lasted 14 years - Mostly reliable – Purchased in 2006 for $1000 (on sale). Performed well as expected for our family. I say that it is mostly reliable as it has shorted out the power board a few times.....but not often. After about 10 years of use it constantly shorted out - The fix was to remove the back plate around the heating element and give it a good clean. Living in QLD I… Read more

found there was a lot of moisture not drying out. I also gave it a really good clean, cleaning out all the fluff from its internal vents......need a really skinny arm for this. Ran fine for another 4 years until now as it is no longer heating. I'm assuming the heating element needs replacing. But 14 years is not bad with regular use.

LG Condensor Dryer Frustrating – We purchased the TD-C700E Condensor Dryer back in June 2007, for the reason our Laundry doesn't have a window, and the condensor dryer was a great solution to the dampeness we suffered from a regular dryer. Over the years, we had the dryer to a repairman (out of warranty), who consistently told us "it works fine, no problem", as it was constantly… Read more

tripping the power.

It leaked after a few years, and my laundry floor was always in a puddle. I continued to use it and mostly fine except for the water all over the floor, with the occasional 'trip". We have figured the dryer just needs a rest. After 4-5 days of not using it, its works.... til the next time.

Now I have a new problem, it doesn't tumble. I'm guessing the belt has broken. Finding a repairman willing to take on the job is a challenge, and then, do I want to spend the money on a product that clearly has problems/

My thoughts for all the dryers tripping the power is moisture internally. Once it dries out it works well until the next time. I always thought it was just my dryer, but reading the other reviews, Power tripping is the major problem.

Considering my $299 Simpson was working like a gem 17years after purchase (not a condensor though) and I sold it for $100..... Maybe cheap is better.

Weighing up my options now whether to repair the belt or give up :(

Good idea but some problems – Like the concept of not having moist air in laundry. Does appear to take longer to dry. Main problem occurring is that it stops and my wife has to rush into laundry to reset it to get it going again. She would NOT buy another LG product. I have thoroughly cleaned out filters and water condenser but it still stops. The manual is not great as it… Read more

does not give a clear indication as to what the problem may be and service mechanics are notoriously expensive. I am an electrical/mechanical engineer who has been servicing our home appliances for 30-40 years and had a small appliance service and spares business for 10 years. It is a pity as judging from the other peoples responses they feel as frustrated as my wife and I do. I hope that LG are reading this and can offer some helpful advice.

UPDATE 20/10/2015 - We have now had service technicians trying to fix the problem. They first changed the start capacitor which meant that the motor driving the drum now starts without having to push start it. However the unit still stopped after around 10 minutes of starting a cycle. So they picked up the drier and tested it in their workshop referring to LG for instructions on how to fix it. LG suggested changing the heater element; no change as it still stopped mid cycle. LG said to change the thermostat; still no change. The final suggestion, yet to be implemented, is to change the control board. I asked the service technician if this expensive final option is guaranteed to wok and he said no. So it is obvious that LG expect the customer to wear the cost of finding the problem which they can not supply about their own product. LG, don't expect us, or our family and friends, to buy your products any more as we have no confidence in your products and are pissed off about your complete disregard of your customer's problems with your products.

Good Dryer LG a nightmare – Mine went well till end of 2011. Didn't get time to sort it then in 2012 we moved and I asked a guy to look at it and it has a broken belt. He didn't seem keen on fixing it, so left it. I miss the dryer and have looked at a new one they cost heaps still. I don't want a house full of steam. I have been trying to contact LG to see if I can get… Read more

a part but their site has you going around in circles because you can only register and talk to them about a new product!! I tried the phone no one ever answers. I won't buy LG now I know they are impossible to get hold of. I loved the dryer. I live in NZ Lack of a house smelling of steamed washing and the damp that came with it. The belt to drive the drum broke and it will have to be disassembled to fix, but can't even get hold of LG to find out if I can get one.

Too many problems with this product. Short lifespan – After the first year we had to replace the bearing as it made a loud squeaking sound every time we used it. The contractor LG told us to use was terrible but that's not really their fault. Recently, it has been collecting water at the bottom and tripping the power in the house multiple times. It started happening just outside of warranty. … Read more

For such an expensive product you'd expect it to last more than 2 years.

This has really put me off LG. Was good when it was working Trips the power constantly due to water leakage inside. Unusable after 2 years

Good dryer but takes a longer to dry than conventional dryers – I am surprised at other reviews, had this dryer since 2005 with no problems. Gets used at least 4 times a week. Just recently had a clunking noise and it was the belt delamiating. Not bad for a 7 year old appliance. Perhaps problems are recent manufacture. I do find that this dryer takes a longer to dry than our old ducted dryer Excellent reliability. Easy to use expensive, slow drying times

Terrible – NEVER will I buy, touch or look at LG products again. The service department was rude, there was no customer service, I was kept on hold for 30+ minutes when I rang, they NEVER returned calls and I was treated like I didn't matter. If you spend over $1300 on a product and it comes with a two year warranty you expect it to last, not die then have… Read more

to fight like hell to get LG to fix their problem. I brought this dryer to replace a normal vented dryer.

The best feature about this dryer was the fact that it didn't make the laundry walls all sweaty and yucky. It collected all of the moisture inside the unit, alloing me to use it if I wanted to. Since the laundry walls were kept dry by this dryer, I didn't get the whispy bits of fluffy flying around and sticking tothem making the laundry stay cleaner longer.

The capacity of this dryer was also fantastic as it took a full 7kg load of wet washing which meant that instead of doing two loads in the vented dryer, I only had to do the one load in this one.

I loved this dryer and used it when ever I could and it didn't chew up the power like the last dryer.

The towels came out drier and fluffier than the previous dryer. It broke down just after 18 months and LG were a nightmare to get it fixed.

It stopped drying the clothes and was still doing the drying action, but with no heat. LG told me it was the heating elelment and gave me the number of a service company to call since it was still under warranty. Well the service company couldn't come out for a week, the when the guy finally did show up three hours late he didn't even look at the dryer, he just said he would have to order an element. Now I had already told this company a week earlier what LG said that I needed but it didn't make any difference. He guy said he would be back in a few days to fix it. Three weeks later I call the company and they still hadn't even bothered to order the part.

LG gave me another service company to call starting the whole process all over again. At least the second company brought parts out with them a week later but they guy undid 8 screws and hit the rest button and said it was fixed. I asked why it had gone off and he said it didn't matter it was now fixed. Thinking I should find out what caused the dryer to internlly turn itself off, I was told by the agent that it didn't mater, don't worry about it.

A week later the dryer starts to leak water. Huby dismissed me staing it was condensation. A few days later it was pouring water out from underneath it. I called LG AGAIN for the 3rd service call and they told me not to use the dryer. I had to wait another week for their service agent to come out here. The guy looked at it and said that it couldn't leak that I must be seeing things. Try the dryer and if it leaks call me for another call out. I was fuming as I was 110% certain that it was leaking. Thankfully hubby had now seen the leak and realized that it was a real leak and told the service guy it was leaking. He got into a huffy and took the dryer back to the work shop.

A few days later we found out tha it was fixed but they were not going to deliver it for another 10 days. It was raining and I had a back load of washing as you can only fit so many things on airers in the lounge, so he asked f he could pick it up from them.

I got home to find hubby FUMING and the dryer back in the laundry.

The dryer didn't even work now. You plugged it in and turned it on and after 10 seconds the dryer tripped out the power. This is what LG and their people called fixed....When they took it, it worked but leaked and now it didn't do anything.

In the end we had to get LG's Australian manager and Ministry of Fair Trading involved to get any results from LG.

Finally after 2.5 months, and four service calls (almost all winter) I got results with a new replacement dryer.

Hubby made me sell the new dryer and buy a decent brand.

A very problematic product – Thank god! I now feel vindicated after reading other reviews. My dryer has been to the service agent (fortunately I had a 4-year warranty)more times than I care to admit. Tripping out circuits in the house is a regular problem with this machine as well as having to replace a water pump and belt. Like others I had to get an electrician to check our… Read more

powerboard - it was perfectly okay. Also experienced the problem with washing not drying properly. I'm back to using my old trusty HOOVER dryer which is ancient (10 years or so) and it's working fine. What a useless machine LG, shame on you for making people wear this. For the price of $1500 NZ it is a rip off and after reading about the difficulties with customer service I will just be avoiding LG product forever.

Hard to get washing actually dry. Regularly tripped out power in the house. Water collected in the bottom of the machine. Other part failures in the four years of ownership.

OK – great dryer,so much better than the old vented dryers! No damp air,no condensation and no fluff on the walls! Worked fantastically for just over two years, then flipped our safety switches and blew up! over a week ago and we haven't heard anything yet - will update when we do.We have already bought the LG 8kg dryer so are not in a rush for the repairs to get done (just as well!).

Overall a great dryer, fairly basic in functions, the only problem is that occaisionally things are still a bit damp when the dryer stops and you have to run it again-usually with a big load of towells etc.I do love LG products and have moved up to the 8kg dryer that has many more functions - they seem to have fixed any little problems,it is worth spending the bit extra. condenser, easy to use.works well, great customer service from the company only lasted two years.sometimes things still damp, tricky to clean the door filter

Excellent – Didn't have to duct...yahoo. No cutting into plaster etc. Works just as well as my previous ducted dryers. I was worried about extraction of cat hair (I've 3 cats) as I noticed on other condenser dryer reviews that capture of lint was bad.....however this dryer catches more lint than ducted dryers. It has a huge lint capture area. VERY HAPPY. Looks great and does the job without the hassel of ducted. Even have water for the plants!

Terrible – Rubbish, LGE needs to lifts its game if they expect people to buy their products. I had the same issue with the front load washer. I do not think there are any. Does not dry all the clothes and stops before they are dry. Constantly breaks down and users too much power. Very hard to clean all the lint out.

Terrible – service was unreasonably & utterly disgracefull. 3 weeks with no joy from approved repairer & worse with LG direct. would never buy their product due to extremely poor service, thats if you can get hold of them be prepared to wait in excess of 30 mins on hold. i like the condensing option as it keeps the laundry from being wet with condensation… Read more

Good – Good, love that it doesn't cause condensation in the laundry. You need to regularly empty the 'condenser storage', but it is an easy and quick task. Have only had it for 3 weeks so am yet to see if any problems arise. Dries beautifully and I can put a large load of mixed items (heavy & light) in together and they all come out great. Leaves a very distinct 'dryer' smell to some clothes (towels particularly).

Terrible – I had 2 machines delivered over a period of 4 days and both tripped the power to my house. Had to get an electrician out to verify that the power supply was OK.
