Good but not what i expected – It is a small easy to use and convenient product to use as as a dryer. but it is not always perfect. very noisy. and sometimes gets crazy when I'm trying to use it quick. i am happy with this product but i could get better ones with the same price.  Show details

Its hard to get a good quality item ! – Purchased this item in 2014 and not very happy with it . Taking too long to dry clothes sometimes it leaks and have some errors . Its easy to operate but its not economical / Sun is the best for drying clothes as with this one even a quick program extends to few hours of drying . Not easy to clean filter underneath and after when you remove and… Read more

cleant the internal filter still enough dirt in the part you cannot reach . Stopping and errors getting really annoying as the job is half done and your drier is in the error stage when you need to be quick and efficient most .

Worst dryer ever – Seems to only spin one way , so everything ends up in a ball, especially sheets. It takes so long to dry anything and even then it seems to leave everything damp. The senor dry doesn't work ...the list goes on . Dont waste your money its the worst dryer.

Not the best but better than most – This machine can be quite loud when turned on. The sound of the tumbler kicks in and you can really hear it. It does take quite a while to dry anything I put in it. And if I put in anything bulky like a blanket, sheets, or a quilt, they would all bunch up into a ball and thump around so it just won't dry those types of fabrics. It does OK with clothes. I do like that the laundry does not get humid.

Don't buy LG dryer unless you want it to sit in the Miiddle of your Laundry. Appaling customer servi – We purchased this dryer from Harvey Norman with 9 other major electric appliances several months ago before moving into our new home. We finally finished renovating the laundry and unpacked the dryer the other day. To our total puzzlement the manual has the following requirement: product distance from wall should be 30 - 50 cm (treinforced by a… Read more

clear diagram on page 8); further in the manual (on page 25) there is the electrical requirement ithat f placed under counter rear distance from the wall must be be 5 inches or 12.7 cm. Yes, you are reading it correctly. This (and all other LG condenser dryers) must sit in the middle of your laundry, or LG will not guarantee its performance! Harvey Norman thought we were joking when we called them - does anyone put a dryer or wahser half a meter from the wall??

We contacted LG Customer Service twice in the hope that there was a print error. The first time we spent about 15 minutes on the phone, during which they asked for our name about 5 times, repeated it twice as many times, kept calling the dryer in question "washing machine", referring us to Harvey Norman (???); then they unceremoniously hung up on us! Second time was today, when we insisted to speak to a technician. After taking our name about 5 times again, putting us on hold three times, asking the same question (name, mobile number) each time before putting us on hold again, nearly half an hour later we were told that, yes, ALL LG condenser dryers have the 30-50 cm clearance from the back wall to perform the basic duty, i.e. to dry!. No printing mistakes here. While Bosch, Miele, Ariston, etc., all require 1 - 1.5 cm, clearance, LG designed theirs to sit in the middle of your laundry. We now have a dryer we never used and will be able to use because we don't have the space it requires to perform its function. We are no longer covered by the 3 month consumer affairs return rights. While Harvey Norman have been understanding and offered an upgrade, we feel that they should not have sold us a product that cannot be installed in a normal household due to totally non-standard installation requirements. Unless having a dryer in the middle of the laundry is a new standard - set by LG.

A great addition to the family – Just bought my new stone colour LG TD-803E condenser dryer to match my LG washer in Sept. So far so good. I found at first the clothes were coming out iron dry (a little damp) but with a few push of the buttons I have worked out what I am doing and I get lovely dry clothes. It is lovely and quite...sometimes having to ask a family member if it… Read more

is still on. As my husband says you will know when it is finished by the tune it plays.

As in the previous review it does blow heat out the front but I haven't found this to be too much of a problem (my laundry is 2.5m x 2.5m small). I get approx two drying sessions before I empty the condenser water unit into my flower pots. I like to think it is eviromentally green...but that might be pushing it!

I have had a Simpson 6kg for years and still going strong...I have loved it!! However I have found the difference between the no button fancy dryer and the LG fancy condenser is the clothes seem to be treated a bit better by the LG...not dried as harshly.

Yes I would personally recommend both the LG Washer and Dryer Condenser albeit the washing machine is not as quiet as they suggest but still quiet enough not to be a bother.

Huge capacity, great drying! – We used productreview, com.au (plus a few other sites) to source all of our new appliances for a kitchen/laundry upgrade. So I made a promise to give back and post a review for every new product we purchased. Just commenced using my TD-C803E. Love its huge capacity and options for drying delicates. The drum is lovely and smooth and my towels… Read more

and clothes come out soft and dry. Drying time is estimated at start but changes as the sensor recognises the dryness of its load. I have found it finishes much faster usually. I did have some trouble getting a large coverlet dry - the sensor kept thinking it was dry but it was still damp in the middle - but it is a huge coverlet, so I kind of expected some issues.

I have contacted LG customer service to try to get some information on the stacking kit we require and found the process frustrating and unhelpful.

The only downside to this dryer is its comparison to my ducted F&P dryer where the heat was mostly removed outside. Although my LG does not humidify the air, it does blow a fair amount of heat. Would be a good heat source, if required. Would recommend to a family, particularly in a cool climate. Huge capacity, drys well, quite, looks great, good deal on price Blows hot air out of the front of the machine

3-4Hrs to Dry 4 TOWELS AND THEY COME OUT SMELLY- LG CLAIM THIS IS NORMAL – I found LG Customer service to be Rude unhelpfully customer service when calling about Your Clothes dryers that take 3-4hrs to dry 4 towels that come out smelling. Obviously this product is rubbish and inefficient and will consume more energy in excess of stated .

Good to see LG has zero interest the consumer satisfaction. With clearly overpriced inefficient and poor performance with Belittling support. After reviewing our file and this model, They have had it confirmed that this does not seem to be a fault with our machine.

The length of time it takes to dry a load of washing may be longer due to this unit being a condenser dryer. They Claim Unlike other dryers, this model does not use a hot plate but instead uses a steam/condensation function to dry items. LG Must be different to every other brand condenser dryer on the market as it takes 2-3 times longer for similar load (A neighbour and friends have Bosch and siemen and they take between 45-75min for same load)

They mentioned If we truly feel that there is a fault with the machine, We may get the unit assessed by an authorised service centre to diagnose however this assessment will be at a cost to us. Nothing 3-4 times longer to dry clothes, Terrible customer service. Support pathetic consumes alot of power

What a beauty! – Can't believe we lived for so long without a condenser dryer - had an old Hoover that finally gave up the ghost after about 10 years. Amazed at how much water the new LG extracts that used to blow into the house causing mold. Also lint filter is extremely efficient, so no grey/purple fluff over everything. Love the cute little tune it plays when… Read more

finished. Tend to always use Mixed fabric / Very Dry setting which finishes relatively quickly and clothes come out perfectly dry from heavy denims to light synthetic underwear. Dismal customer service – I can't even give a proper review. The stupid thing hasn't even completed a cycle. Was broken before we even got to use it. Purchased 6 weeks ago, contacted customer service for warranty. They sent someone promptly to look at the machine, then advised us that it was at least a 6 week wait for the part. Then after a phone call 2 weeks later to… Read more

advise us the part had arrived early, they came to fit that part and it was the incorrect one. That was almost 4 weeks ago.

Today, we followed up with a phone call to see where the correct part is, and the woman on the phone tells us that its already been installed in our machine. After a long and painful discussion recounting the saga of this bloody machine - the lady has no clue what is going on or where the part is and we're stuck with an expensive, non functioning dryer with new born babies, a toddler and wet weather!!

Dismal customer service

Takes way too long to dry – I love the size as it can dry a larger load however it takes way too long to dry. I have to keep putting clothes back through more loads and sometimes give up and just wear damp clothes. Perhaps I am doing something wrong but after two hours the clothes are still not dry. My old vented dryer was much faster. I am emptying the water container and cleaning the filter but still not performing well at all. Size It takes far too long to dry

Fantastic overall, very impressed, thanks LG! – **EDITED DEC 2015 - REDUCED MY RATING FROM 5 DOWN TO A 3 STAR after 2.5 years of use.** This machine simply takes too long to dry and you can't make use of its large drum capacity as it simply will not dry the items. Don't bother with sheets or anything large - they just won't dry. Towels and smaller items are fine however. May 2013: I… Read more

just bought this dryer. I am very impressed with it! Its quiet, the condenser stops the steam effect on the ceiling in my laundry and after a few cycles, I have the ideal settings in place to ensure a dry load every time. For those wondering, I just use the "Mixed Fabric" setting and the "Very" dry setting - this seems to work quite well on towels and heavy clothes such as jeans and light clothes such as underwear.

As for the down sides, I can only find 2 of them and both are minor.

-The machine has a little storage tank for the condensed water - and it works very well! However I wanted to connect up the external drain supplied by LG. Although you only have to slide off the tank pipe and slide on the supplied drain pipe at the rear of the machine, this is a pain in the bum because the little nylon/plastic elbow easily comes off of the rubber pipe inside of the machine. Once that happens its out with the long nose pliers to try and get hold of the rubber pipe to reconnect. A simple clamp from the factory would stop this from happening, or better still a quick redesign of this area would make a brilliant machine perfect. This is a situation where a picture would explain a thousand words.

- The second problem is the on screen timer. On the cycle I use, the timer counts down accurately from 53 mins (approx) until it hits 11 mins remaining, it then sits on 11mins for a good 30 mins. After which time it finishes counting down that cycle to 0 mins. In one instance it then added a further 30 mins for total completion (this last 30mins is probably the sensors readjusting the time due to the load not being dry - exactly as claimed by the manufacturers and quite acceptable). At the end of the day everything was dried to perfection so its not a big deal but if you're wanting to time it for any particular reason - this timer is pretty well useless. Having said that, you could simply time your heaviest load yourself to give you a indicator of the total time required in future use.

If anyone from LG is reading this, could you make it so the controls on your australian model front loader washer and dryer units use the same design of controls for units in the same price bracket? I know I'm being petty but when stacking my TDC803E on my WD14024D6, it looks odd to picky buggers like me having one unit with lots of buttons and the other with touch screen buttons(the main knob is also different), Thanks :) Quiet, well built and it dries the laundry to perfection every time. Would buy again. Inaccurate count down timer and external drain pipe accessory hard to connect if your not paying attention or not practically minded.

Does the job – I use the dryer a fair bit, mainly to prevent dust and pollen getting on out clothes due to allergies! I love condenser dyers as they do not steam up laundry. This does the job. Good... when it works – The dryer is great, clothes come out dry as a bone, while still being soft and fluffy. The electronics are easy to program - nice selection of programs and settings. However, the warranty service is absolute rubbish. My machine keeps displaying a "FE3" error. LG said over the phone it is a circuit issue, however all the repairer did was come… Read more

Quiet and doesn't put damp air into the laundry – I have not had a dryer before but when I decided to replace the old clunker washing machine and put in a whole new laundry I thought it was time to get a dryer too - particularly after a cold wet winter where nothing was drying well. This is a condenser dryer so it doesn't fill the laundry with moisture which was a plus after the new cabinets… Read more

were installed - I didn't want everything getting damp and smelly. I still won't use the dryer that much - many years of line drying are not going to suddenly change! It has mostly been used for 'finishing off' slightly cold or damp towels that have been out in the cold air. The lint filter at the front is very easy to clean, and the water that is extracted from he clothes goes in to a plastic bottle that is easy to empty. There are many programs that either sense the moisture level and automatically adjust the drying for you, or for giving the cold towels a fluff up there is timed drying that you can set yourself. Quiet, leaves the towels soft and fluffy
