Site Manager - [Name Removed]: Is an excellent Site Manager. He took the time to write markups from my Independent Inspector's report, provides photos of completed items, or notes on when it gets completed. He is great at explaining what is happening and putting everything in context of the timeline. He is easy to get a hold off and has great input for future landscaping tasks as well.
Metricon's reverse build process means that tasks in later stages are being done earlier, so even if there are delays with an immediate stage, it does not affect the completion date. If anything, the build appears to be going faster than anticipated.

We’ve also engaged an independent building inspector at each stage of the build. Any items they have raised have been addressed promptly, and there have been no major issues identified, which has given us a lot of confidence in the quality of the build.
There was one delay with a window upgrade that took longer than expected to be finalised, but once it was identified it was sorted out quickly and the build continued moving forward.
The trades on site have been professional, the workmanship has looked good throughout, and the build has been progressing smoothly. Overall we’ve had a very positive experience with Metricon and are excited to see the final stages come together.

Our Studio M appointment was a highlight during pre-construction. The consultant we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and very clear about what products and options were available within our build.
One of the biggest stresses during pre-construction was the timing. Council took around 8 months to approve our DA, and with the 12-month contract signing deadline approaching, we were concerned about potential price increases. We ended up paying an additional fee to extend the lock-in pricing period while waiting for everything to be finalised.
Thankfully, once construction started, the experience improved dramatically. The build moved very quickly and our Site Manager was excellent. We couldn't ask for better. He kept the project moving, communicated well, and always acted on any concerns we raised. The original build timeframe was 12 months, but the house was completed in just 9 months.
We also engaged an independent inspector throughout the various construction stages. Our Site Manager was very receptive to the inspector’s feedback and addressed the vast majority of the items raised — around 9 out of 10 issues were rectified without hassle.
Overall, while the pre-construction process could definitely be improved, the construction phase itself was smooth, efficient, and professionally managed. In the end, we’re happy with the outcome and the quality of the build.

The communication and customer service throughout this warranty period have been terrible. To make matters worse, our site supervisor did a poor job managing the initial build, leaving us to chase up fixes that should have been done right the first time. Building a home is a massive investment, and Metricon’s lack of accountability and poor follow-through after they receive final payment is deeply disappointing.
I started the process of building with Metricon in 2019. Started living in it in 2024. There's nothing but issues. The hot water system non existent apparently cause all we have is cold water. Avoid avoid avoid! Sparkly and shiny sales process. Very average, to below average build quality (and ours was a 'Signature Build' I would hate to see the normal builds). Non existent aftersales! Waited 2+ years for warranty work. They were like hamsters on wheels.
