Also, in relation to the note about the attached deposit receipt for our reference, we did not receive any receipt attachment on our end. The only attachment that came through was the screenshot of the Colour Selection Agreement signed by myself and my husband.

That said, thank you again for all your time, effort and assistance throughout the process so far. We genuinely appreciate the support and guidance you have provided during our colour selection appointment and related discussions.

She was approachable, patient and easy to talk to from the very beginning. [Name Removed] took the time to answer our questions, explain the process clearly and help us feel more confident about building with Metricon. We really appreciated how responsive and supportive she was whenever we needed things followed up or clarified.

We also visited [Name Removed] at the Langdon 32 Display in Leneva 3691, which was a beautiful Metricon display and gave us a great feel for the quality and style of the homes.

Overall, [Name Removed] helped make the pre-construction stage feel smooth, seamless and much less overwhelming, and we’re very grateful for her support.

an episode of candid camera the service and quality is so bad and they just don’t care. Even today it is like they are doing me some kind of favour fixing the defects. We gave up on persuing cosmetic issues. We just don’t have the energy. The chief counsel out and out lied to the NSW building commission to get our complaint closed but then personally promised the rectification works would be concluded by March 2025. The excuses have kept coming. Parts of the rectifications are of poorer quality than the original poor quality. Now in May 2026 as I muster the energy to go back to the building commission the same Senior Site Manager that has inspected and photographed the issues numerous times since May 2024 suddenly emails suggesting I “take some photos” of the issues and he’ll get it “sorted”. We originally dealt with the central coast branch and they were great. The second the job transferred to Canberra it has been lie after Lie. A total lack of accountability and 0 project management. We incurred over $100 000 in additional site costs due to McDonald Jones incompetence and short cutting. Key design features were not delivered that make the property Unworkable. Their review scores look great because they capture your feedback numerous times before the build starts. I am more than happy for McDonald Jones to contradict or challenge any of my assertions. I have 6 years worth of correspondence, independent building reports etc. that I will more than happily share with any unfortunate soul considering building with McDonald Jones in the ACT or surrounding NSW villages.

Clarendon Homes. I have cracks in the wall tiles in both bathrooms at the exact same height and in the same location. This happened because the gyprock was not installed properly. Although the issue was repaired under warranty after two years, the exact same problem has happened again after three years, this time affecting the main bathroom as well.

This time, the response I received was that they could not fix it because it is now out of warranty, even though the issue appears to be related to the original internal gyprock installation. Based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious when building with Clarendon Homes.

I am also concerned that, down the track, more cracks could start appearing throughout the house walls due to the gyprock not being installed properly in the first place

into liquidation, Simonds stepped in, worked closely with our existing house plans and surveyor, managed a complete teardown and rebuild, and made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier. Our House was actually completed within the contractual PC date (after EOTs were granted). Communications post handover has been excellent - was better then while construction was progressing- I really enjoyed the post PC communications with Scott. He has been so proactive with organising defects to be attended. Hand on heart - If anyone was to ask me about how I felt about the build at the half way mark; I would have described it was concerning. But I have to say that our build turned out well. I have been reflecting on the overall build process and have come to the real conclusion that Coral Homes have their own way of doing things and it is obvious that they have an internal way of communicating with the client which I feel the building supervisor has a protocol to follow . While this is frustrating, I understand that this is just the way Coral Homes does things. My advise to potential home builders thinking about building with Coral is to just trust the process. Check that you are happy with construction time frame listed in the contract before you sign the contract. They will take that time to compete your homes and owners will need to accept this. Overall the experience with Coral Homes was very positive and in line with any other volume builder.

From the beginning, everyone we dealt with was friendly, responsive, and helpful. The New Home Consultant took the time to walk us through the different designs and pricing options, and the pre-site customer service officer and customer service team were always quick to answer our questions.

As first home buyers, we appreciated the support from the colour consultant, who gave us a lot of helpful suggestions and made the whole selection process smooth. Our site supervisor was also great throughout the build and kept things moving smoothly with timely communication. During handover, we picked up a couple of minor issues, but these were organised to be fixed within a few weeks.

Overall, had a good build experience of the home we are currently living in for the past month or so.

Our New Home Consultant, Hayden, was extremely helpful during the initial stages and was always available whenever we needed assistance or clarification. The Construction Manager, Matt, was also very knowledgeable and experienced. He managed the site professionally and ensured the build was completed to a high standard.
