Miele KTN 14840 SD

Lemon – Same issue with build up of ice. Also the bottom door shelf is not strong enough and snapped off. Had to pay for a new one costing $200! Handles coming loose as well

Miele lemon – Over the years since purchased 7 years ago there’s issues with ice build up behind the freezer. To rectify fridge needs to be turned off, emptied, and wall of ice melted. Why this happens???? No idea and the tech is baffled. Was an expensive fridge $3500 for a lemon

Not happy – We thought buying a top of the range brand we would have no problems boy were we wrong we have other Miele products in our house dish washer washing machine and a dryer which are performing perfectly and then we bought this lemon called a fridge two years ago, we have had the same problem twice with the freezer compartment, the technician who is not a Miele person but who is obviously trained in this area had said The problem was the freezer compartment is blocked in the freezer tubes and the ice is building up under the panels of the freezer walls and bulging out.

The technician fixed this problem then approx 8 months later the same problem and symptoms again but we were told by the same technician it was a different part causing the same problem this time and as anyone can appreciate each time this happens you have to defrost your fridge for this problem to be fixed the real problem and fear will be when the fridge comes out of warranty as we feel we have bought a lemon
