Meile Dryer – We had difficulty with this dryer from the start. Constant beeping with the “clean air filter” and service calls to Miele when under warranty. I see this model is now discontinued. Today I finally decoupled it from the washer and its going to the dump. We purchased both the honeycomb washer and dryer together. My wife was recommended these due to Miele brand. Show details

simple answer – we have a miele dryer approx. 10 years old and some time ago started beeping after a few minutes and saying clean out airways in the process of looking for a replacement I came across all these reviews with the same problem and in amongst them was a little gem which made perfect sense to me soak the filters to get rid if soap scum which builds up… Read more ·  1

on the filters naked to the eye I put 4 inches of hot water in the sink lay the curved filters on their side and the big one flat left for a few hours allowed to dry overnight next day dryer works perfectly and still going strong we will now soak the filters every month

Clean the airways properly – I had a few issues very similar to others in here in regards to the airways needing cleaning but it’s not just a matter of cleaning the lint out. Perfect ! – We have had our dryer now for about 5 years and have had no trouble whatsoever. We always use the 'delicate' setting to avoid shrinking the clothes (we do this with all dryers). It was an expensive dryer at the time however it has been money well spent. The clothes come out perfectly dry each time and the tumble speed is delicate enough so the clothes remain untangled. Pathetic – Mostly have Meile products, categorically will never purchase another product and will go out of my way to discredit this brand. This washer/dryer combo is substantially inferior to even the most basic product on the marketplace. Done everything humanly possible to no avail, this brand is going under. Show details

Glad to be not alone in my disappointment! – Looking for another dyer as finally defeated by the fatal flaw of not drying.Can only do multiple bursts of 15 minute timed drying.Had service personnel out countless times.Guess I won’t be looking at a replacement Miele !

It doesn’t work – We have exactly the same issue as everyone else. It tell me to clean the filters and after 5 minutes it stops again.What a shame Miele don’t recall this model and ensure these customers (including myself) have faith to buy Miele again.It works only at 20 min cold program.Until now I thought that only me had this problem but know I am very disappointed.Don t buy this, is waste of money

problems for many others.Miele were polite to me and offered a good discount on a new one ,but I felt should have been higher in the light of the obvious flaw. It was suggested we DONT repair it (that says everything !!) but does one want to risk a so called premium product purchase again.With a 2 yr warrantee this only became obvious after that point. I think Miele should have morally accepted it's a technically flawed product and offered a much better deal to get a new one thereby retaining Miele customers.

A Total Dud – To dry a load of washing usually requires 3 or 4 resets. The drier tells me to clean out the air filters, which I do, after about 15 to 20m minutes. At this stage I try running it on a timed cycle another 2 or 3 times by which the clothes are adequately dried. I want a dryer that dries the first time. Show details

Worst Miele product we’ve ever purchased !!!!! – Avoid this product ! The dryer does not dry clothes. The dryer alarm sounds within minutes to ‘clean out airways’ with EVERY use. The most frustrating clothes dryer to use. We are extremely disappointed. An absolute waste of money !

delay start, it won't run longer than a few minutes. We've had lots of Miele appliances over the years and loved them, but this dryer has been an absolute lemon.

Does not dry clothes and stops working by itself – As with all other comments left by others, this is a terrible machine! It just shuts itself down after 5 minutes even when you put it a "Extra Dry" setting. This is a clearly a design defect given that everyone is complaining of exactly the same thing. and washing with water as recommended. We paid over $1800 for this machine and it was so not worth the money when we could have bought another European appliance that would have been more reliable and less expensive. So much for "Made in Germany" quality!

A Lemon – I have the same problem as everyone else with this dryer, basically it does not work. You get continual error messages saying that the filters are blocked, even when you have just cleaned them all out. It does not dry the clothes. Miele does not seem to be interested in the problem. I have other Miele products that I am very happy with but will not use their dryers again. Unfortunately I can not give no star and must give 1.

Awful problems for years – We purchased this dryer in 2014 along with a household full of other Miele appliances (all of which we love) This has been nothing but trouble. thermostat and water pump issues, and now the heating element has broken. I would lodge a service call with Miele but they haven’t even responded to the last job fault I logged for this machine!

Discontinued and Disgusted at Meile for not recalling – We have exactly the same issue as everyone else. What a shame Miele don’t recall this model and ensure these customers (including myself) have faith to buy Miele again. We have spend hundreds on the technician coming out, to no avail. Our family have always bought and trusted Miele. Time to find another brand.

Honestly the WORST modal of dryer ever!!! – Like everyone else I have had the same issue with the clean filter fault. but an older modal and have not had a single issue with it. I have noted that they both have an additional fine foam filter in the door which I'm wondering if that is the difference?! Terribly disappointed in Miele service also... they don't even want to know about it because it's passed it's warranty. Get told everytime I call them that I need to contact the local technician. Terrible for what is supposed to be a good brand. Extremely disappointed and now struggling everyday trying to do my laundry. I can't afford to replace it now and I thought I was investing in something good when I first purchased it. their reputation, if there is a known fault, I would expect a full recall and replacement. Would never buy another Miele appliance.

Worst dryer – Same issue - clean out airways! Paid for Miele to come out and fix it, the following day after it was fixed the same problem again. Miele- over priced crap! Off to by a Bosch

Clean Airways frustration – machine only works for 5mins before saying clean airways.... I always clean the airways and remove the condenser to dry, still says clean airways, probably 4 - 5 times before it eventually stops. I use it mainly to dry towels which I semi-dry on the line first, so only expect this to go for 20 odd minutes, but it is taking longer because of the red flashing light and beeps.. Have had the dryer for a few years now, but still not expecting this..

What a disappointment – I have the same problem as everyone else, the machine runs for a few minutes and stops. It asked me to clean the airways and believe me I have. If this machine can’t be fixed, for what appears to be a manufacturer’s fault, I will take it to the dump and buy a new Bosch.

major kitchen renovation and wanted to use Miele but I am having second thoughts if this is the quality of the products overall. We were big fans of Miele but have warned friends and family not to purchase based on our experience with the drying. Very disappointed.

I need help also – I am having the same problem with the Miele T8822 C as the other comments. Doesn’t dry properly and the indicator lights come on for empty container which has been runs for 3 minutes then it’s buzz and indicator comes on and we are back to the same problem. Very very frustrating. Our washing machine is brilliant.

Please Help T8823C – Unfortunately my story is identical to the majority of those posted. Purchased a washing machine (W5741) and dryer combo. (T8823C)Washing machine is brilliant but dryer will not dry clothes. Very frustrating having to run through four or five cycles just to dry a couple of towels.

Clean airways! I did – Continual 'Clean Airways' issue. Runs for 5 minutes, goes into 'cooling down' mode then stops. I clean out airways and filter fully - and I mean FULLY. There really isn't much more I can do. Start machine.......'Clean Airways' - Repeat, repeat, repeat.....
